”since when did you become so over protective.. is there anything I don’t know about..?”I asked my son as he stared at me with disgust.

”dad..my business isn’t your business..”He answered.

Sarah’s POV

I spent my whole day reading and pressing my phone..I went online but uncle adams hasn’t come online since morning and I’ve been calling him but he isn’t even picking either..he is upset with me or what..I find my self wandering and thinking of the kiss we both shared and I wished it could repeat it self today…I don’t understand this feeling and to be really honest..I need someone to talk to..I want to share this secret with someone..but who..?who is gonna hear me out..the only person who I think I can tell is my mother..I’ll have to tell about my feelings tonight.. I’ll ask her in a weird way and I pray she listens to me..I dialed my mom’s number to inform her that I wanna talk to her tonight…

Tina’s POV

”this party is lit..I mean..look at all the decorations Mira..you did a nice job out here..”I say staring at the hall.

”thanks bestie.. it’s kinda my thing you know..”mira brags as my phone rings..Sarah.. why’s she calling..

”who’s calling..?”mira asked.

”all she does is complain and I’m sick and tired of hearing it..that’s why I left her by herself at home..Sarah is just like her father..”I say.

”you left Sarah all by herself?”Mira asked

”i..I don’t know but I think you should watch sarah.. she’s just a little girl and she doesn’t have to be left alone like that..”Mira says.

”and what are you insinuating..?”i asked.

”that teenagers these days can be very naughty and I don’t want Sarah being alone..you know how teens like her age are rebellious..”Mira says..her words are annoying me now.

”you said teens but not Sarah, Mira..my daughter is a very good girl..she’s honest and very happy..so don’t compare my daughter to other teens..”I defend .

”i’m not comparing..all am saying is you should be watchful..”mira says.

”are you trying to teach me how to take care of my own daughter now or what..?”i yelled at her.

”tee..calm down..I’m ju..”i don’t want to hear what she has to say so I cut in.

”keep your opinions to yourself..and to think I came here to be happy..now you’ve ruined my mood..”i say grabbing my purse.

”please don’t leave..the party is about to start..come on..okay..I’m sorry for talking to you like that..but please don’t go..”Mira begs.

”am sorry but I’m no longer in the mood for parties..I can’t believe you’re giving advise on how to take care of a child when you clearly don’t ve one not to talk of a relationship..”i blurted as Mira face changed instantly..I used her weakness against her and I feel so bad..

”i’m.. I’m sorry..”i say..

”its okay..it’s fine..tee.. let’s just enjoy this party..”Mira says forcing a smile on her face.

”you are right..and you know.. Sarah’s gonna be eighteen next week..so you’ll help me decorate her party room..just like this one..”i say as Mira nods….

Sarah’s POV

”i’m so sorry of the way my cousin hit you..”i say to Desi standing near the door of his room.

It’s night time already..my mom didn’t pick up so I guess I’ll just tell her when she gets back from the party..I feel so bad for Desi..I knew he didn’t had any bad intention towards me this morning.

”its fine boss..it’s all good..”desi says standing up from his bed as he wants to leave I hold him back.

”wait..have you forgiven me..?”i asked.

”forgive you for what..mame I have no rights in this house and it wasn’t your fault..I shouldn’t have hold you in that manner..?”Desi says..

”what if I want you to hold me now..?”i asked

”stop joking around..please..”he says as I take his hands wrapping it around my waist.

”please..forgive me..”i say smiling..

”why are you like this..Sarah..why do you always like to play with my feelings..you know how I get when am this close to you..”Desi says.

”how..tell me..how..do I make you feel..?”i say.

”it doesn’t matter..after all you’re not interested in a pauper’s words like me..and if you think you can use your body to play with my feelings..you’re joking.. because I will never..touch you again..”Desi says pulling away from me as he exits the room.

I had pizza and juice for dinner waiting in the living room for one of my parent to show up..I waited for like hours watching my favorite telenovelas when my mother walked in..

”mom..you’re back..”i say standing up from the couch.

”sweet heart..I’m so sorry I left you all alone..please forgive me..”My mom says.

”and you didn’t even pick my calls.. anyways I forgive you..”i say following my mom to her bedroom.

”mom..I want to tell you something..something that has been bothering me..”i say hoping she doesn’t shun me.

”what is it my dear..?”thank goodness she wants to hear..she takes off her high heels flinging them before sitting on the bed….

”it..it’s..”oh God I hope she doesn’t scold me..

”oh..I get it..you want a new car..is that it..don’t worry I’ll buy you one..or is it about your birthday..don’t worry it’s gonna be fantastic.. I’ll even call your favorite musicians internationally to come play for you..”My mother says

”no..it isn’t about that mom..”i say.

”okay..let me guess..you want money..here..”my mom dips her hands in her pocket as she gives me her credit card.

”buy whatever you want tomorrow after school..”she says stretching the card to me.

”mom..I don’t wa..”Before I could go on my mom cuts in.

”sarah..please..can’t you see I’m very tired..I need to rest please..go meet your father or anyone else but please leave me alone..”my mom says..

”all you care about is party..work and money..you don’t even wanna hear me out..you think money is always the solution..why did you bring me to this world if you don’t wanna listen to me anytime I want to talk to you..?”I say angrily.

”sarah..please..let’s not fight..go to bed immediately..”my mom ordered.

”i see..you will never..ever change..”I say leaving her room..she doesn’t want to talk to me.. sometimes I wonder if she really is my mother..it’s just 9pm and the time isn’t that late..I dialed uncle adams number immediately hoping he picks…after calling him twice he finally answered.

”hey niece..”

“Uncle..please where are you..please send me the address of wherever you are..I want to see you..”I say crying.

Hey..Sarah..calm down.. what’s the matter..what happened?

”i just can’t take it anymore..please send me your location..where are you..?”

I’m at a bar with your father..and you know he won’t like it if he sees you here.

”then excuse yourself..I don’t know..let’s just meet up..or something..please I’m begging you..”I say.

Okay fine..I’ll see what I can do..take care of yourself.

”bye..I love you..”i say before hanging up….

Mary’s POV

I’m starting to get tense with the way my husband’s behavior are changing..I just don’t understand..after church he decided to go see his brother at his working place leaving me alone again..he never leaves me alone..he always wants to be with me..but I don’t understand why he’s suddenly changed.. just then Larry who has been out all day walked in..

”son..have you seen your father..?”i asked him.

”mom..I want to ask you a question..”larry says.

”what my love..?”

”why can’t you take care of your marriage and leave me alone..why do you always have to ask me about dad..I’m not the one marrying him..it’s your responsibility to know where your husband is so please..and please..don’t ask me about that man again..”Larry says as I slapped him hard on his face.

”what..what has gotten into you Larry..and that man you mentioned..he is your father..see..I don’t know what the problem is between you and your father but I promise you..I’ll get to the bottom of it..and I just pray it isn’t something that has to do with my marriage because you and your father don’t know what I’m capable of..”i say

”whatever..”larry says exiting the living room.

Adam’s POV

”i have to go now..it’s getting late..”i say to my brother Thomas.

”oh come on now..stay a little bit longer bro..we start have plenty of drinks to enjoy..”thomas says.

”no..I don’t want to..it’s late and you know if I sleep late I might go to work late..”i say.

”thats why you’re the principal..you can go to school whatever time you like.. please stay..have a few bottles with me..please..”thomas begs as my phone rings again.. it’s Sarah..oh my gosh.

”oh..I see..your wife’s calling you..i thought you two had issues..”Thomas says.

”yes but we settled.. already..you on the other hand need to go home Thomas..your wife is waiting for you..”I say.

”no..I don’t want to go home..Tina and I haven’t settled our differences yet and besides she’s so boring..she can’t even last a minute when we do that stuff you know..she’s so lazy in bed..and that’s why you see I only ve one kid..my beautiful baby Sarah..my girl..see bro..if anyone touches my baby girl..I’ll kill that person..I mean it..”My brother says and I’m feeling very guilty now but i have to go…Sarah needs me.

Sarah’s POV

I practically sneaked out of the house even though they were alot of body guards..I still know my way out..I decided to take a cab so no one knows if I’m going out..

The drive to the cottage isn’t that far..it lasted for ten minutes..I just want to see my uncle right now.. to be sincere..this is the first time I’m sneaking out..of the house..now I know love is crazy..it makes us do stupid things..

”arent you gonna eat..the food is getting cold..”my mom says.

”no goodbye kisses for mummy..”my mom asked but I just ignored her leaving the house.

Adam’s POV

”where did you go to last night..?”mary says as we were having breakfast..I hate it when she brings up this attitude of hers in the midst of our children.

”i’ll rather not talk about that..”i say.

”we want to know father..where or perhaps who were you with last night..?”Larry asked.

”what do you mean..who was I..oh come on now..”i say standing up..

”my son is right..you’ve been avoiding us lately..what are you up to..?”mary asked

”stop right there dad..”larry surprised all of us pointing a gun at me.
