Mary’s POV

I laughed to hide the fear I’m feeling inside of me..I don’t want the cops to find anything here that might incriminate me.

”what’s so funny..?”Marcia asked.

”you..all of you are nothing but a big clown..and you know why I’m laughing right now..well because of course I have nothing to hide..I’m laughing at your foolishness because you are wasting your time if you think searching my house would bring back Sarah..”i say to Marcia as she shoots me a glare.

”hm..laugh all you want because no matter how you try to run from it..the will be out sooner or later..”Marcia says confidently as I rolled my eyes.

”whatever..just get your crappy selves out of my house..”

Suddenly one of the cops walked up to Marcia whispering something in her ears..they both smiled before she turned to me.

”i told you..your time is near..you’re going down Tina..come on guys let’s go..”marcia says exiting with the rest of the police men as I turned to see Lizzie and Larry staring at me like some ghost.

”what..don’t give me that look..”i yelled at both of them.

”can you explain to me why the cops are here mom..you told me they won’t bother us anymore..mom are you involved in my cousin Sarah’s disappearance?”lizzie throws questions at me.

”mom..I think it’s time you tell her the truth..you don’t want her finding out on her own..”Larry says making his way upstairs.

”mom..what truth..what’s Larry talking about..mummy I’m talking to you.. answer me..”Lizzie practically yells at me.

”shh..quiet down already..my love calm down..I’ll tell you but promise me you won’t get mad at me..”i say as Lizzie nodded her head.

”hmm..well..your father..your father never travelled you know..”i say swallowing my saliva..it’s so hard for me to say this to my girl but I just have to.. Larry’s right for once in his life..if I don’t tell her she might find out from her friends from school or even worse social media.

”then where is he..?”she asked.

”your.. your father..your father is in prison..”i finally say as Lizzie steps back from me.

”no..no..mom..that can’t..that can’t be true..no..tell me it’s a lie mom..please..”my little girl says already in tears.

”well..I wish it wasn’t but it’s true my dear..and I’m sorry for keeping this from you but I didn’t want to see you suffer like this..that’s why I..I..lied to you..”i say to my daughter who crying bitterly.

”i’m so sorry my dear..”i add.

”bu..t..but..what happened..why did they arrest him..what did he do..ugh..tell me mom..”lizzie asked.

”its nothing too big my dear..its just a misunderstanding..soon your father would be released..he was accused..accused of kidnapping your cousin..you know that can’t be true right..you know your father won’t do anything to hurt Sarah right..?”I say.

”th..this..this..is too much..and you kept it from me..I can’t believe all these while my dad was suffering in jail and..and you lied to me…how am I sure if you’re not lying to the cops to..?”Lizzie words hit me hard on my chest..I never imagined my fourteen years old daughter would doubt me so much like this.

Things are falling out of place and all I need is for Sarah to die..I will have to take her out maybe tomorrow..I just want her to die already..that girl has caused me so much pains..she has made my own children and even my good for nothing husband turn away from me..she’s going to pay for everything she did to ruin my marriage.. that I’ll make sure of.

Martin’s POV

”how long have you known the truth..?”i asked Adams.

”she told me six months ago..she confessed to me here in the prison the day she came to visit me and also to talk to you..”adams answers.

”hmm..good..all we need now is to catch her in the act..do you have any idea where..where she might be hiding sarah..?”i questioned Adams.

”no..no..I don’t know..but if you let me out of here I can find out..”He says

”no one knows mary as much as I do..if you give me a chance.. I’ll be able to find out what’s going on..with everything..”Adams adds.

”no..no..I don’t think she’ll ever trust you enough to tell you the hide out..”I say.

”but..but she confessed to me about Sarah’s kidnapping..she might tell me..what’s going on.”adams insists.

”and how I’m I sure if you’re not gonna betray us..what makes you think you’re a free man now..see Mr Adams..I can’t give you your freedom..what I can only do is let the judge decrease your sentence when it’s trial time..”i say to Adams as his face drops in disappointment.

”hm..I know..I know this would happen..you cops never keep your promises..anyways..I just need one last favor from you..”adams says..

”what..is it?”i asked.

”i..i would really like it if you allow me see my children..I

I..don’t want them in this environment..can you take me to go see them…??”

Tina’s POV

”the mystery is just too much..I don’t know why martin’s doesn’t wanna tell me what the hell is going on with all these investigations..”i say trying so hard to calm down from all these stress and pains I’m feeling.Ono gives me a glass of coffee as I take it from her.

”just..be patient madame..I’m sure God is going to bring back Sarah soon..”Ono says.

”well I hope so because I don’t believe in God..”i admit.

”hmm.. too bad because God loves everyone of us and he isn’t gonna leave us when we need him the most…see prayers will solve everything..just kneel down and pray to the almighty and you’ll see he’ll answer you..”Ono advises.

”hmm..I’m..I’m so ashamed to say this right now..uhm..I..I..don’t..I don’t even know how to pray..”i say feeling down..yeah..my parents never taught me in the way of the lord..all that matters to them was money..and I guess I just followed their bad footsteps and look..my daughter is gone..

“Oh madame..it’s not a big deal..come..with me..I’ll teach you..”Ono says holding my hands as we both walked straight to the lounge..she kneels down first before I joined her.

”thats so nice of you Ono..thank you..for not criticizing me..”i say.

”i would never do that madame..never..now..you close your eyes and tell God your thoughts..but whenever you want to start..say our father..”Ono says as I repeat after her

”our father..”

”who hath in heaven…”

”oh lord please have mercy on me.. wherever Sarah might be please protect her..send your guardian angels to watch over my baby..i know I haven’t been faithful to you God but please I’m begging you..help my child..save my daughter..”i say deep in my thoughts.

”so help me God.. amen..”i and Ono say together as I hugged her tightly..

”what will I do without you Ono..?”i whispered.

Sarah’s POV

”my dearest niece..how are you doing..?”Mary asked the minute she stepped into the building.

”i’m fine..”i answered.

”fine..but how can you be fine..you’ve been locked up here for six months and don’t you tell me you’re fine..or hasn’t jose been treating you badly..?”Mary asked.

”oh come-on..enough..enough of all your yapping..have had to deal with your unnecessary tantrums way too long..why don’t you just go ahead and kill me..end this once and for all..just do it..I’m not scared anymore..kill me..what are you waiting for..?”i yelled at Mary who seemed shocked by my sudden attitude..she thought she would see me cry begging me for her to live..but I have learnt..have learnt my lessons and if dying is the punishment God has for me..so let it be..I’m done crying and begging for the devil herself.

”oh..I see the little brat has gathered some courage over the months..don’t worry I will kill you pretty soon..I can’t wait for you to go join your ancestors.. tomorrow is going to be the day sarah. you are going to die.. tomorrow..oh I can’t wait.. finally I’ll laugh at your grave you foolish girl…”Mary says.

”do your worse just so you know..killing me won’t get you anywhere auntie..killing me would only make the people around you hate you very well..”I say.

”oh yeah..well we will see about that..and you see that thing in between your legs you couldn’t control..my husband doesn’t need it anymore..my husband will always choose me over you because I’m the mother of his children…”She says.

”oh..quit sounding like I forced him to sleep with me..i never forced my uncle..he did it because i guess he was tired of your old ass..he needed something new..and fresh just like me you old hag..”i say as Mary slapped me on my face..I was expecting that already..if I’m going to die tomorrow..then let it happen but I won’t die without not giving this woman my piece of my mind..yeah..I may have been wrong but I’m not gonna let her continue humiliating and insulting me..she can do that when I’m gone but as far as I live.. never!

She angrily walked out of the warehouse..as Jose entered.

”what happened?”Jose asked.

”what else..she came to tell me she’s getting rid of me tomorrow..so let’s talk for this would be the last time you’ll see my face..”i say to Jose

”shh..don’t say that..sarah I won’t let that happen..you’re not gonna die..on me..”Jose says.

”isnt that what you and my aunt have always wanted..oh don’t tell me you’re gonna save me because you said it once and you never kept to it..”

”no..no..this time I will get you out of here.. tonight Sarah.. we’ll escape tonight..”Jose says as Marco one of the new body guard walked in…glaring at I and Jose.

Mary’s POV

”watch him..I don’t trust anyone..make sure you are one step ahead of Jose..I know..yeah. I can tell he is already bewitched by that little fool..yeah..okay..I have to go..bye..”i say hanging up on my phone.

Adam’s POV

”i’ll wait outside..don’t you even try anything stupid..”Martins says as I knocked the door of my apartment…after knocking thrice Larry opened the door..he was so amazed to see me.

”my boy..my boy..”i say as Larry rushed to hug me.

”dad..daddy..”He says already sobbing.

”my boy..my boy..I missed you so much my boy..”i say as I sight Lizzie behind him.

”daddy..daddy..is that really you..?”She asked as she joins us..Larry pulls away as I grabbed my little girl..

”my baby girl..my baby..”i say as we all cried and hugged eachother.

”dad..tell me you’re gonna stay..please don’t disappear on me again..”Lizzie says..our beautiful moment was interrupted by Mary.

”adams..what are you doing here..did the cops get tired of you..did they release you..?”Mary asked..

”is that how you say hello to me after six months of separation..”i say to Mary.

”oh please I don’t want to argue.. infact seeing you just reminds me of all the damages you caused.. you and your family ruined my life….”Mary says drunkenly..as she just walked towards her car..entered it and drove off..

”i’ll follow her..you just spend time with the kids..”Martin’s says as he exits in the cop van…
