Every thing happened so fast and unimaginably easy. Anu and her family left Ijegemo to live with Madam Cynthia at Omole Phase 2. Anu didn’t support the idea initially but she was convinced that construction workers needed to work on their house at Ijegemo and they had no option than to vacate their home at the moment. Did I make mention that Baba as fondly called by Anu has finally married madam Cynthia? They married at Ikoyi registry and now they are officially addressed as Mr and Mrs Femi and Cynthia Joseph. Femi Joseph, the boss of ANUSEG furniture company at Isolo has indeed moved from grass to Grace within the twinkle of the eyes. He purposely used his children’s names to register his company.

Anu officially told Iya Ramo that she would not be coming to work anymore as her family is relocating. She sure would miss her. Iya Ramo appreciated her by giving her a sum of #5000.

Life at Madam Cynthia’s house

She has been acting cool ever since, or maybe because she’s newly married. The Joseph’s have not meet with any of her children because they all stays abroad.

‘Daddy, why do you think I’m having this feelings that something is not right in this marriage, and how we are now staying here? Anu asked her father when they were both relaxing in the garden.

‘ Anu, you had better stop being a pessimist and enjoy this moment. I have plans baby, and do not ever forget that everything I will be doing is for the benefit of you and your brother’ Her father said.

‘ I will ask you this again because you actually dodged it the last time, do you love madam Cynthia? She asked

‘ I have told you about her story and I believe you should be able to to deduce your answer from there, or maybe from the look of things’ he said slightly upset.

‘ Sorry nau, daddy but why is it difficult for you to answer straight?’ Anu asked with a lighter time since she realized her dad is getting upset already.

‘ it is difficult to say because I have never loved her in the past, I don’t love her now and might not love her in future. It is difficult because God actually used the person I may never love to uplift us. It is difficult because Abike, that I ever loved brought about my downfall, it is difficult because I’m hating the ungrateful man I’m gradually becoming, it is difficult because I might end up ruining myself at the long run. Yes, it is very difficult I had to answer your difficult question’ Femi said and walked out successfully hiding the tears that are now dropping.

‘i’m sorry Baba, I’m really sorry I caused you pain’ Anu muttered silently to herself.

She really did not wish to upset her father, she wished her father would understand that she was asking only because she cared.

‘ I will let him be for now’ she said to herself as she continued surfing the net.

Months rolled by an things remained Better within the family. She owned 6 filling stations in Lagos alone not to mention neighboring States. And it seems God is in support of her union as she was being awarded multi-million contract in her oil business. Madam Cynthia kept pumping money into their various accounts as she was truly in love with Femi. Also, his children well brought up and she couldn’t help but love them as well. The only noticeable issue was that madam Cynthia concealed the identity of her children from the Joseph’s.

‘ I can’t bother about that ‘ Anu said to herself one evening

‘but it won’t cost anything if I ask her about her children nau? She asked herself.

‘Let the sleeping dog lie o, Anu, just let the sleeping dog lie and continue to enjoy the peace and wealth this marriage brings’ she admonished her self.

On Anu’s 24th birthday, madam Cynthia gifted her a new Toyota Camry. Although she was not in state at that moment, she already organized a little get together for her before she left. Anu was more than happy. Her father bought her an Apple PC. Femi is doing well in his furniture line as a result of madam Cynthia’s connection and yet she still gives him money from time to time.

Who could ever thought that Anu, who nearly fought a conductor over #10 change now has millions of naira in her account and a new ride all in the period of one year.

The birthday party was going on beautifully well as everyone was enjoying themselves until the unexpected happened.
