Fola's POV
“D--n you d--n you d--n you Dibz!!!”,I shouted as soon. as I got into my penthouse and just then my teary waterworks broke loose.

Why, why does he keep doing this to me and why does my stupid self still find it hard to just forget about him and see him every other boy I’ve come across.

Who the hell does he think he is to call me irrelevant or could it that I’m not good enough? Nah,I know I’m more than good enough I mean I’m pretty no scratch that I’m beautiful,bold,brilliant and also rich plus I’m a very good person to relate with(OK this last might be lie but it doesn’t matter),so what else is he looking for.

Based on our convo the last time and our occasional steamy staring sessions,I was beginning to think that maybe we’ve had a leeway afterall only for me to hear those shattering words from him and to think that I had to strain my ears pretty hard just so I could eavesdrop on his discussions in a bid to just hear his voice….

Lord I’m finished.

“I don’t know what to do with him again”,I sighed as I crashed down on the couch,feeling pretty exhausted from crying and over thinking.

“Don’t know what to do with who”,a voice questioned out of no where.

Out of shock and fear I had almost crept under my couch,i never expected anyone else to be here as I’m the only one with access here.

Lo and behold,as I raised my head up again I saw Tiara dropping her school bag and already getting comfortable in MY HOUSE.

“Uhm care to tell me what you’re doing here?”,I asked brusquely.

I know that is abit harsh from my side considering the fact that she’s one of the few people I can genuinely call my friend but honestly I just don’t care at the moment.”

“Really?”,she asked , feeling thrown off by my sour attitude.
“Did I stutter or something?”,I replied back with even more venom laced in my tone.
“I noticed you were absent in sixth period which is very much unlike you cause you never skip lectures at all even when you have a sick day so I got worried and decided to see if you’re okay but clearly I’m a nosy b---h who can’t just stick to her own business so I’ll just leave now I’m sorry for checking up on you”,she said as she turned on her heels to leave.

Feeling the crushing weight of guilt fall on me I raced to the door before she reached and apologized to her.

“I’m so sorry T,I didn’t mean it like that I just had a bad day and I just channeled the aggression to you pls forgive me”,I apologized and tried to pull off the puppy eye stunt.

“Yh it’s OK,but if you keep doing that thing you’re doing with your eye i might just continue to bear a grudge with you…cmon it looks like you’re trying so hard to be an slowpoke”,she said now laughing.

Now she’s insulting me but it doesn’t matter as long we are all good.

We decided to skip the whole of school for the day and just settle for some ice cream and Netflix but I knew it wouldn’t be long till the inquisitive side of Tiara took over to starting bugging me on what happened.

Tiara’s the daughter of a leading actress in Nigeria and an absentee dad.I’ve know her since I was seven,back in the UK during summer camp,I was finding it really hard to blend with those snobbish entitled white kids when this cute chubby black girl came to help me with my sand castle.

Eversince then we’ve been attached to the hip.

“So who’s he?”,T asked as soon as we finished our third movie.Now this is the moment I’ve been dreading cause I can’t lie to her even if I wanted to she’s like a human lying detector,but there’s no harm in trying rii?

“What are you talking about?”,I asked trying to feign ignorance.
“Oh you know what I’m talking about or rather who I’m talking about..when I entered you said you don’t know what you’re going to do with him…

I ask again who is he?”,she asked again.

“OK OK.. there’s this guy I’ve got my eyes on now but I don’t know it looks like he doesn’t give a shit about me”
“it’s not that he’s too good looking,dont get me wrong he’s handsome but not the movie star or model kind of handsome but still he’s got this aura that reels me in and I just can’t explain it…. I’m just pathetic”,I sighed laying my head on T’s shoulder.

“Aaawwwn my girl’s in love,you know I never thought you’d feel this way again after you know Henry left”,T said.

“Oh please this is different from Henry’s I can assure you”,I said sitting properly.

“Hmmm.. what has that Dibz boy done to you?”,T gave me a knowing smile and just like that warning bells started going off in my head as I clearly remember i didn’t mention Dibz’s name.

“Dibz….what has he got to do with this?,I asked wide eyed hoping she just had a slip of tongue moment.

‘Oh cmon we all know he’s the one you’re talking about”,she replied rolling her eyes.

“wow that obvious?”,I asked sadly with a childish look.

“Mhmm just to me tho cause I’ve caught you staring longingly at him in class sometimes,second he’s the only new guy we’ve had this sems and you’ve never been like this towards any other male since H and then there’s the fact that I’m psychic”,T finished off leaving me mouth ajar.

I swear this girl should just enroll in the police academy and stop wasting her mom’s money on this ludicrous tuition we pay here,she’s complete detective material.

“Oh please help me T, I don’t know what to do”,I lamented as I put my head on her shoulder again.

“Don’t worry child, I’m here now momma knows best”,she replied in the worst imitation of the tangled animated film voice I ever heard but it didn’t really matter cause I knew she’d come through afterall.
