Sarah’s POV

”i won’t forgive you for not bringing your chauffeur..”Anita practically yelled at me as I eyed her..reminding her that we’re in public.This place is loaded with plenty of youngsters like us just for free books..something I can get without lifting a hand..I’m only here because that’s the only way to stay away from home..my dad mustn’t know I’m even here..we are standing line by line and it’s gonna take a while till it gets to our turn.

”come on.. now Desi has other things to do..and I don’t get what you even see in him that you like him that much.. he’s way too young..and boyish..”I replied

”what do you mean boyish..come on girlfriend..don’t tell me you’re not interested in young guys..”Anita says.

”no..I’m not interested in them..I can have fun with them but love..no.. you can only fall for older men..”I replied.

”older..like sixty or seventy?”Anita whines.

”no..no..like..my uncle for example..I love guys that are way older because they treat you more better..”i say.

”i didn’t know about that though..”Anita answered as someone taps me on my shoulder from behind..and it’s Uncle Adams.

”what’sup unc..?”i greeted..he is dressed in his usual outfit..black jeans trouser and a V neck t-shirt showing all his strong muscles..is it me or does my uncle looks very handsome today..

”good day principal Adams..”anita greeted.

”oh come on anny..that’s for the school only..when we’re in public..call me Adams..”He answered in his deep baritone voice.

”really..?”anita squeals.

”yeah..hey niece what are you doing here..lined up..?”he asked.

”we are here to pick out free favorite novels..”i answered.

”free..your dad isn’t gonna like this one bit..”he says.

”oh please don’t tell him..why are you also here unc?”

”i’m here to take some literature textbooks that we might need for school..I don’t like seeing you here..how about you guys follow me..”He says.

”dont worry.. they’ll let us in..”My uncle says as he led the way..I kept on staring at him and for once in my life..I feel something I’ve never felt before..

”hey.. why are you staring at your uncle like that..?”Anita asked.

”isnt he handsome?”i say.

”wait..are you for real..you..and your uncle..oh please c’mon..you can’t be serious..”

”im just kidding..quit being so serious..”i lied

My uncle Adams is like a super hero..he is always there for me anytime I’m in need of something..now he’s here bribing the security guard just to let us in..

”check out this one..after we collided.. I’m taking this..”anny says in a low tone as she walk round the bookstore.

I admire poems alot so I went to the poem section.. they’re alot of poems here..I picked one..as I begin to read..

”there comes a time in life when you don’t need money,you don’t need comfort,you don’t need luxuries..all you need is someone with whom you can share your happiness with..all you need is someone who loves you to the core”Interesting I thought as I continued reading the poem..I was so lost in the poem till I bumped into my uncle Adams..

”oh..I’m so sorry..”I say picking up the books he was carrying.

”its..nothing..”he says picking the book up.

”wait..is that not A love to remember poem..?”Uncle Adams asked.

”yes..it is..”i say hoping he isn’t going to get mad with me reading a love poem.

”wow..lovely..I never you loved poems..that poem is fascinating..”he says as we walk round the section.

”really..have you read it before?”i asked

”yes..and if you want..I can borrow you some other poems..I have alot..”my uncle Adams says.

”let me read this for you..you’re gonna love it..hear me out..”i read out loud..”all you need is someone that is worth your smiles and tears..I want to hug you..until you feel safe..”i paused as I stare at uncle Adams eyes.

”go on..what does it says there..?”my uncle asked..

”you read it..see for yourself..”I say handing the book over to my uncle as he reads.

”i want to hug you.. until you feel safe and kiss you until the world disappears and love you until I die..”My uncle says in the most romantic way..have never seen him like this.

”interesting..unc..I want to ask you a question..”I say.

”go on..?”

”when did you have your first kiss?”

”thats.. ridiculous..but I’ll answer anyway..I was like your age when I first had my kiss..”He answered.

”and no one ever knew about it.. because it’s only when you’re an adult you can live freely..right?”I asked.

”it depends..love doesn’t choose time or people to fall for..it just happens..”he says.

”i like that..”I say smiling.

”i’ll give anything to see you smile like this everyday..”He says..

”hmm..I wish my dad cared..I’m only here because I caught him cheating on my mother..I feel so bad right now..have always looked up to him like an icon but..he..he..ju..”i didn’t finish before breaking down in tears as I moved closer to my uncle Adams hugging him tightly.

I feel so safe in his arms..I can feel strange butterflies in my stomach when I’m around my uncle..I feel like there’s nothing in the world important than him.. because he loves me..he cares for me..and that’s all that matters..our hug was interrupted by Anita.

”hey…I’m done here..”Anny says as I pulled away from my uncle Adams.

”im finished too..”i say.

”i wanna go home..it’s late..see you later babe..”Anita says pecking me on the forehead leaving before I could even say a word.

”i don’t want to go home uncle..I really don’t want to..”i say.

”but Sarah..okay..I should take you to my house then..”

”no..I wanna go somewhere else..”i say.

”like where?”he asked.

”somewhere I can escape from reality..?”

”silly girl..”he smiles..oh I love seeing him like this.. free and so happy.

”how about we grab something then I’ll take you home..I don’t want your parents worrying about you..”

”is not as if they care..”i replied….
