Charles POV:

Now the serial killer is

after me, it will make it

easy to get him.

But the serial killer is

smarter than to leave

a threat note for an

experienced

Detective like me, but

I’m not willing to risk

any chance.

I pull out my gun

holster and took a

Russian Pistol, since

the Serial killer is

coming for me, I need

to be prepared.

Mr Adekoya is dead,

a big throw back to

us in this

investigation.

I know for a fact Mr

Adekoya knows

something no one in

that family knows and

the serial killer is

quick enough to

silent him.

The serial killer is not

only smart but also

fast at killing which

really amaze me, or

maybe this is a group

job.

Because I remember

Inspector Kunle

telling me he was

shot on his arm

yesterday when he

wants to attack my

wife and I seriously

don’t think he can

think of attacking

someone else in that

condition.

Rachel was still

sleeping, I slowly put

the note I wrote on

the Drawer that’s

beside the bed.

The serial killer is not

only after the

Adekoya’s now, but

also after my family

and I will not let him

harm my wife or kids.

I left the house and

went to meet Samuel

at the HQ.

“So we are heading

to Mr Adekoya’s

house now to

investigate his body

and I think that’s were

the serial killer will

attack you.” Samuel

said as I met him

outside the HQ.

“That’s good bro, I’m

ready to end this

misery, either the

serial killer kill

me……….or I kill him.”

We got to Mr

Adekoya’s apartment

in Abuja and got into

the house.

His body was still on

the King sized bed,

flies were already

pitching on the empty

eyes.

I stare at the horrific

body before turning

to Samuel.

“Contact every of

the Adekoya’s in

abroad to come to

Nigeria as soon as

possible.”

“Most of them are

coming.”

We put on our gloves

and started searching

the room, I saw a

blood on the floor

just beside the bed,

and I took it with the

swab.

“Look what I found

Charles.” I looked at

what Samuel said he

found.

It was a ticket to a

Show, LET’S ROCK

SATURDAY NIGHT.

“Is Mr Adekoya

planning on going to

a club party?.”

Samuel ask.

“Or maybe our killer is

planning on going to

a club party.” I said

thoughtfully.

We took Mr Adekoya

blood sample and

and his fingerprints.

There was a picture

of the whole

Adekoya family

shattered on the

floor.

related to the

Adekoya.

“The Ambulance are

outside, and are

gonna come carry his

body to the Morgue,

you have to follow

them, I will wait

behind.”

“Ok be careful

Charles.” He hugged

me before walking

out the door.

“Samuel.” I called

back. “Rachel I love

her and the kids.”

“Sure bro.” He said

before taking his

leave.

Soon some Nurses

came into the room

and carry the body.

Now it’s just me, only

me, waiting for the

serial killer.

I waited for fifty

minutes and was just

about to leave when

the light of the room

went off, leaving me

in darkness. He’s

here.

I slowly pull out my

gun, as I wait for him

to attack.

“Charles.” Someone

called from behind

me, I quickly turn

around trying to

catch a glimpse of

the person with the

sunlight penetrating

Into the room.

“Charles.” The

person called again

but I don’t know

where the voice is

calling from.

“Come out you

fucken coward!!!!!!!!.” I

said angrily pointing

my gun around.

The light came back

and I saw the person

standing in front of

me……..The serial killer.

He was wearing black

mask, black jacket

and black boots.

I point my gun at him

as sweat pour from

my forehead.

“It’s nice meeting you

Mr Charles James.” He

said in a sweet voice.

This bastard son of

a b---h, I swear I will

kill him.

“What do you want

from the Adekoya’s,

why are you killing

them??!!!!! And why do

you want to hurt my

family.” I was Soo

angry I think I will

explode any moment

from now.

“You should have

not interfere in my

business.”

“Well.so sorry this is

also my business

because I was hired

to protect the family

and I would.”

“What about your

family?.” He ask

suddenly and it

weakens me.

“How dare you talk

about my family, you

know nothing about

them.”

He laughed. “I have a

business with the

Adekoya’s, you can

still leave now and

protect your family

while you still can

instead of interfering

in my business.”

I need to play smart

with him. “I think you

are right about that.” I

said as I lower my

gun slowly.

“That’s good now

you………” I shoot

straight at him but the

bastard dodged too

quickly.

I pounce on him and

started punching him

hard on the face.

Then I made to pull

of the mask but he

threw me away from

him and now he’s the

one on top.of me

punching me

repeatedly making me

Soo dizzy.

Then he pull out a

knife bringing it

closer to my eyes as

I lye on the floor, but

I held tightly on the

knife and pushed it

back as he pushed it

towards my eye.

I pushed him of me

and send a kick

straight at his skull, I

grab the knife but

pinned me to himself

holding tightly to me,

squeezing the life off

me but I regain

consciousness in

time to kick his g---n

Soo hard, he grunted

in pain and I made to

grab his mask and

pull it of.

But he detect too

quickly and grab me

pulling.me in a

headlock but I punch

his rib and kick him

out of the room.

Blood was now

spluttering from his

mouth pouring

through the mask and

I really wish to see

his face but the

bastard won’t allow

me.

I grab him and pull him

up kicking his leg in

the process, he

yelled out in pain but

retaliate by nodding

my nose making

blood pour out from

my nose.

I don’t know how he

did it but he quickly

took a gun lying on

the floor before

pointing it at me

“See you in hell

Charles.” And he

fired.

The bullet hit my

stomach and I fell to

the floor.

Everything was blurry,

“Goodbye Rachel,

goodbye Joe,

goodbye Hannah.”

I slowly close my

eyes as I was slowly

drawn into a void of

darkness…..
