Charles POV:

We finally got to the

airport and I quickly

take a taxi and

speed off to

Inspector Kunle’s

house which is at

Victoria island.

As soon as I got

there I knocked on

the door my heart

beating fast, I just

need to see my wife

and kids.

Inspector Kunle’s wife

answered the door.

“Charles good

morning, we were

expecting you.” She

said with a smile.

“Good morning Mrs

Kunle please can I

see my wife and

kids?.”

“Of course come in.”

I step into the

spacious house, just

then Joel ran over

and jump into my

waiting hands, Hannah

follow suit.

“Daddy a bad man

want to harm us but

mum fight for us like

Superman.” Joe said

with a smile and I

can’t stop the tears

from falling down, I

feel Soo shattered, I

wasn’t there for my

family when they

need me the most, I

put them in this mess.

“Now you two listen

to me, even if Daddy

is not there to fight

for you, someone

greater than Dad and

Mum will fight for

you.”

“Who is that?.” Joe

ask anxiously.

I pointed to the sky,

Jehovah will always

protect you when

you believe him.

I kissed both of

them.”I’m sorry my

Princess, I’m sorry my

Prince.”

” We love you too

Dad.”

“You are welcome.”

Someone said and I

looked up to see my

wife.

”

Ok children go and

play, I want to talk to

your mum.”

I walked over to

Rachel and attempt to

hold her hand but

she jerk away.

“You shouldn’t have

bother coming back

for us.” She said not

bothering to look at

me.

The words hurt me

and it felt like a

spear was seared in

my heart.

“You think I don’t

care? You think I will

just leave my family

when they needs me?,

Rachel I love you

and the kids and I will

never the Serial killer

harm you or the

kids.”

“Oh really?.” She

looked at me,a pained

look on her face.

“Do you know we are

supposed to have

been dead if not for

God.”

I closed my eyes and

fight down the anger

that’s building up.

“You think I don’t

care?.” I ask softly.

She did not reply to

this, she was just

gazing at me.

I moved forward

slowly, encircle my

hand round her waist

as I trail kiss down

her neck, I settle my

lips on hers and kiss

her passionately as

the lust explode in

me.

I love Rachel more

than anything and I

will not let the Serial

killer harm her in

anyway.

She wrap her hand

round my neck as I

deepen the kiss.

She quickly realize

that we are standing

outside the house.

She broke away from

the kiss.

“You have to go to

the guest room, you

must be tired after

the flight.”

I smiled and held her

hand as I drag her to

the guest room.

As soon as we got

to the guest room I

started kissing her

and discard her

clothes and that of

mine, till we are lying

naked on the bed.

I kissed her tenderly

and softly, I just can’t

let the Serial killer

harm this treasure of

mine.

“Charles he’s coming

for me.” She said

sadly and the tears

sting my eyes, I hate

seeing my wife like

this.

“No I won’t let him

harm you Rachel, that

a promise, I Will not

let him harm you or

the kids.”

I said and we had a

wonderful and

romantic love making

that I wish it never

ends.

“The case is trivial

Charles.” The

inspector said to me,

we are still at his

house since our

house is not best to

live in at this kind of

time.

“Sir I’m suspecting Mr

Adekoya.” I said

slowly sipping from

my coffee, but of us

were chilling in his

garden to discuss the

case.

“Hmmmm you are right,

the Serial killer must

have been someone

close to Mr Adekoya

in the past.”

“Yes inspector.”

“How is your wife

getting over it?.”

“She’s getting over it

well but I can’t stop

blaming myself.” I said

sadly.

“Charles blaming

yourself will not help

the matter, it’s not

your fault, now you

have to get the Serial

killer to protect your

family.”

“Thanks Inspector.”

My phone started

ringing.

“Hello.”

“Hello Charles this is

Samuel speaking Me

Adekoya was just

found dead in his

room, his eyes

popped out and he

was shot on the

head.”

D--n it, Mr Adekoya

has gone with the

secret, this is bad

really really bad.

“And guess the

message the serial

killer left down this

time.”

“Just tell me.” I ask

curiously.

“NEXT——

CHARLES JAMES.”

I slowly pull out my

gun and said with a

smile.

“What I have been

expecting, now it’s

me………vs the Serial

killer.”
