Serial Killer - S01 E03

Charles POV:

Two people were

murdered within

48 hours, this case is

getting

creepy.

“What’s wrong

Charles?.” Samuel

ask as he noticed

the look on my

face.

I sighed. “The

inspector just

called, they found a

body in

Ikorodu similar to the

case we are

investigating now, the

woman

was found dead on

the road and

her eyes were

plucked out, she

was shot on the

head.”

“Oh My God!!!.”

Samuel gasp in

shock.

“This case is getting

out of

hand.” Kate said.

“Guys we are going

to Lagos to

check this body.” I

said.

“Are we going to

abandon this

case we are on?.”

Samuel ask.

“Since it’s similar to

the case we

are working on we

should check it

out, maybe we can

get some

clues that might help

us and I

also need to know if

the person

killed is related to the

Adekoya’s.”

“Ok when do we

leave?.” Samuel

ask

“Right now.”

We finally got to

where Inspector

directed us in Ikorodu

and the

body was still lying

on the floor,

two of her eyes were

missing and

the blood has

already dry to the

side of her head.

There was lot of

crowds trying to

catch a glimpse of

the dead body.

Kate took some few

pictures of

the body, I collect her

blood

sample for test in the

lab.

Samuel pulled out a

handkerchief

from her purse,

something was

written in blood on

the

handkerchief.

“See if you can read

what’s

written on this

handkerchief.”

Samuel hand it over

to me.

I looked at it closely

and slowly

read our the word,

Adekoya.

The Adekoya’s are

haunted, if

this woman is related

to the

Adekoya which

means the Killer is

after the Adekoya’s.

“Our Serial killer is

after the

Adekoya’s, so now

we should

have the mindset that

we are

going to have to

protect the

Adekoya’s.”

Samuel nodded in

understanding.

“But most of them are

outside of

the country.”

“I think those ones

are safe,

listen I need to

interrogate Mr

Adekoya as soon as

we are

through with the

Autopsy.”

“Ok sure thing bro.”

The ambulance

arrived and

hoisted the body into

it, I

check.my wristwatch

which says

06:34, it was already

getting late,

the killer is around

here, moving

freely, searching for

his next

Victim, but until we

have a proof

we will be able to nail

him to a

spot.

I finally got to the

Autopsy and

we started

immediately.

Autopsy begins

“My premetarily test

state that

our victim died

between

12:23-12:47.”

“Felix how possible is

it that our

Serial killer is one?.” I

ask

thoughtfully.

“The gardener died

was killed

yesterday at 09:23

by the killer,

the same killer killed

Rita

Adekoya around

12:23, the killer

is sure doing a fast

job.”

“Hmmm, I think I know

who he’s

going for next.”

I said.

“Who do you think?.”

Felix ask

curiously.

” Somebody who

works in the

Adekoya’s residence,

he’s

following a pattern in

those he’s

killing…….and I want to

follow

that pattern.”

“Charles, it’s under

maybe if he’s

going to go for a

worker this

time, he’s a

psychopath and a

lunatic, he deprive

pleasure from

killing.”

I turn to Samuel. “Is

Mr Adekoya

already in the Police

HQ?.”

“He arrived there as

soon as I

told him and he was

crying

because the woman

that was

killed was his sister.”

“Ok please help me

get the list of

the Adekoya’s, both

the one

living abroad.”

I turn to Felix.

“Thanks alot bro I

will take my leave

now.

Autopsy ends

I got to the Police HQ

to

interrogate Mr

Adekoya, he was

already in the IR

(Interrogation

room).

” Good day

Mr.Adekoya, I know

this is pretty hard for

you but

please just get ahold

of yourself,

I’m assuring u dat we

will find this

hideous killer.”

He wiped away the

tears from his

eyes.

“Are you ready?.” I

asked.

“Yes.”

INTERROGATION

BEGINS

CHARLES: Where

were you around

12:32 pm when the

victim died?.

MR ADEKOYA: I was

at home

trying to get some

few things

because I will join my

family in

Lagos.

CHARLES:Do you

realize that your

family is being

haunted by this

Serial killer.

MR ADEKOYA: Yeah

CHARLES:Can you

tell me the

reason for this?

He’s probably after

something or

he’s planning revenge

on what

one of your relatives

did to him.

MR ADEKOYA:I

seriously don’t

know detective, I……I’m

stressed

out

CHARLES:ok you

have been

through a lot today,

you can go

but please if you

remember

anything that can be

useful in

this case,.let me know

MR ADEKOYA: Sure

detective

INTERROGATION

ENDS

Mr Adekoya is hiding

something

and I must find out, I

know how

to get my answer but

it’s quite

difficult.

I pull out my phone

and dial

Kate’s number.

“What do you find

during the

test?.”

“Nothing much, but

there is a

word on the

handkerchief you did

not read, it was

imprinted there:

Next- Sophia.

“Are you sure?.”

” 100% sure.”

“Then we have to

find this

Sophia, I will call you

later.”

I hung up and dial Mr

Adekoya’s

number.

“Hello sir please

where does

Sophia Adekoya

lives?.”

“She lives in

Manchester in

England.”

D--n it, it’s gonna

take long to

get to England, I need

to call the

forces in England to

protect her.

“Ok thank you.”

Just as I hung up my

phone

started ringing, it was

Inspector

calling, my heart

started racing

faster as I received

the call.

“Sorry to tell you this

Charles but

there was a call from

England,

Sophia was found

dead in her

bathroom, her eyes

plucked out

and……..”

“She was shot in the

head.” I

completed.

That instant I realise

the Serial

Killer is one step

ahead of

us…….one step ahead.
