My heart beat was as fast as never the only time i had felt such fear prior to that day was the day i was almost expelled from secondary school for beating up a bullish and stubborn fat girl named peace aka war. That was almost 5 yrs ago when i was in Junior secondary school.


I took my phone and placed a call to maryam.

The phone rang once and she picked up.
“where are you”, she managed saying fear written all over her voice.
“chasing thieves”, i responded
she started crying telling me to turn back home that the thieves wrecked havoc on a chief’s house two buildings away from ours.
“please that car cost close to 6 million”, she added crying.
“hahahaha”, i laughed out and told her i will sort out on getting a new car if hers get compromised.


I never knew where the boldness came from but i was not scared anymore. By now our location was at Mokola and i was still hot on their butt0ckz.


Maryam started crying and was screaming on the phone. My neighbours joined her telling me to make a U turn and head back home as my life was so precious.
“ok ladies”, finally replied
“tho on one condition”, i added
“you guys put a call through to the police giving them the following info”
“Suspected car model ; Lexus jeep
color; red, i added
“i will do just that”, the voice of the landlord came through at the other end.
“that’s good”, i replied feeling like a boss.
“i will get a drink at premier bar”, i told them and then went off.


Surprisingly the car of those i was chasing pulled over the U turn heading towards Premier hotel.


I knew it was a sign from God to keep up the chase cos i had decided to divert to the hotel and leave them to do their thing towards dugbe.



I allowed them drove for like a minute before i drove in the gates.

Placing a call to my landlord i told him everything and asked him to keep it a secret from the ladies.



He promised the arrival of the police in some minutes cos he had spoken directly to the state’s commissioner of police who was a friend.



I alighted from the car and walked straight up to the bar at least the hotel have lots of cameras the police can do their job from there or so i thought.
