Smiling tho with eyes closed i opened my mouth allowing a tongue into my mouth.
“Bad boy even while sleeping you still know how to kiss”, Maryam said.
“Am ever ready”, i responded as i sat down on the bed now fully awake.


Time check 7pm, i logged on Facebook and hooked up with some of my friends.

I dropped “Hey wattsup” to all my foreign friends then i logged out.



I was feeling so bored on the bedroom but couldn’t go to the parlor cos Shade, Emem and Doc were all wining and dining with my Maryam.

I could hear their loud voices as they screamed and do those girlish stuffs.



I smiled as i remember My activities of the day.

I had talked to more girls in a day since i came to IB than all other days combined. Funny enough i didn’t even ask for any of their contact details like a normal Nigerian male.


The urge to leave the house for the girls and go somewhere struck me. I took the car keys, still on my morning clothes i walked out of the bedroom.
“hey neighbours, goodevening”, i greeted.
“hey Mimi”,
“hey my Miracle”,
“sup Miracle”, they all responded in their ways.



I replied hastily and told Maryam i will be back soon. She had a worried look on her face but still gave me a thumbs up.



I called on the gateman and drove out.



Immediately i left the estate i heard a gunshot then followed by series of screams.


Confusion and fear swept over me. Reducing the speed of the car i tried to ascertain the location and direction of the shot. If it was from behind and ahead.



I was saved the stress of thinking as the shots sounded again this time constantly. It was behind me.


I prayed it wasn’t from my estate and did a quick reversal speeding back home towards the direction of the gunshots.


A car speed past me from the opposite direction almost making me loose control of the car. I was able to have a view of the car and saw it wasn’t having a plate number instinctively i made a quick U turn and gave the car a hot pursuit.

The Occupants of the car as i could see were all putting on a mask and i knew i was chasing thieves, robbers or assassins or both.

The gap between the cars was now limited and at this rate they knew they were followed.

“Jesus”, i screamed out immediately hitting the brake. I was quick enough to swerve the car to the left while the mugu scattered his bullets on the tarred road of New bodija.
