I ordered for a bottle of red wine and started drinking directly from the bottle. The tension and fear i was experiencing was so intensive and i wanted increasing my confidence.


The red car was still parked at its spot.


I contemplated weather i should check the car or not but i preferred not cos my head is worth above all things.


Minutes later a call from an unknown but customized number came through on my phone.
“Hello, this is Adeyemi Ola, from the Oyo state RRS”, the caller informed
“Okay Mr Ade what can Miracle do for you”, i asked partly out of intoxication.
“Smart kid we have here”, he seemed to inform his collegues
“what is your position and do you have visuals on the suspects”, he qsked.


I wanted replying him if it was his father or father’s father that made me a security officer that gave him the impetus to ask me such questions but i decided not cos of the following reasons;
1) na me first start this rubbish by chasing after highly armed criminals.

2) na Sars people o, they wey dey behave is not normal tho i knew only a call from my people at Abj and i will be discharged from their holding cell tho i may be discharged dead or even with a dysfunctional limp.


After quickly accessing the above reasons i replied him cooperatively.


He told me they were already close to the hotel and in 2 minutes time i saw 3 Sars vehicles at the front of the bar.


4 of them came into the open thatched bar while the rest like 6 kept guard outside.
“Over here officer”, i bellowed,alcohol now having its effects on my body.



I told them every single detail not omitting a thing.



Mr Ade made a call and soon the hotel securities gathered at the bar. They stratagised and immediately burst the tire of the lexus jeep.
“i will be going now”, i informed them as i stood up.
“going where?, my friend sit down there”, Mr Ade blasted.
“am through i need to go home now tis late”, i added.



Mr Ade warned me and told me until they get the identity of the suspects as i claimed i wasn’t going nowhere .
“you are going nowhere boy”, he finalized.


I put on a smile on my face as they led me to their van and locked me inside.


3 hours gone they came back, opened the van and told me i had made the country proud. The other two vans were nowhere to be found.


I was just looking at them with my eyes redder than wine. I knew they had apprehended the robbers but i was shocked on their decision to detain and make me a suspect if they find none.
