Do You Know Each Other?

I sprinted up the spiral stairs, two steps at a time. I just wanted to see him, know he's safe.

I heard my brother raise his voice accusingly as I neared his bed room so I decided to overhear their conversation just for a bit.

" She's coming?! Where is she going to stay Alex? How are you gonna explain this to my family??" Blake threw his hands in the air. Alexander finally came in my view as I peeked through the small gap of the door.

"I'll figure it out okay? I definitely won't tell them the truth so give me some time." He massaged his temple in thought.

Blake took a step closer to him, his eyes burning into Alex's.

" Promise me, that my brothers...especially Gabriel doesn't get involve in your shit." 21

Alexander looks torn slightly, but masks his dilemma.

" I promise." He coughs out before Blake engulfs him in a hug.

" I'm glad you're back, why did you even leave in the first place?" Blake frowned, this was my cue to enter.

" Listen Blake, I need to tel--" 1

"You're back." I walk in casually, both their eyes whip over to me. I didn't spare a glance for Alexander though, I will not show him that I care. 2

" Gab, back so soon?" Blake swallowed hard, scratching the back of his neck.

"Yup, I wanted to introduce a friend to y'all." Blake smiled in response, heading out of the room first.

Before I could follow behind, I was pulled back by the hot mess of a devil himself.

" How long were you standing by the door watching us?" I found it rather amusing how each time we're alone, we would end up in such close proximity. Close enough for me to see each spec of brown in his eyes.

I gave him a smug look, " Long enough for me to know that you're hiding something from me." 5

His jaw clenched upon hearing my words. "After you're done with that friend of yours, meet me at the hut in the forest. We need to talk." His grip tightened, his eyes holding all forms of seriousness. 4

" We need to talk? You sure about that? Cause last time I checked, I was done talking to you." I yanked my arm out of his grip, walking out with my head high. 2

" Gabriel..." he followed behind, I hated the way my name rolled off his tongue, it sounded so incredibly sexy. 24

Sighing in frustration, I looked back at his pleading eyes. How could I deny him? I was so weak at heart.

" Fine!" I grunted, " 7 p.m., this is your one last shot." 9

A smile broke out on his face, it was so bright, it seemed as though the dark bags under his eyes disappeared.

I let out a small sigh as I made my way to the living room where Blake was already chatting with Kayden, along with mom.

Kayden wedded his way to me but stooped mid way, glaring past me. I never saw Kayden like this -- tensed up, with his eyebrows etched together.

I turned around to realise he was staring at Alexander who was throwing daggers with his eyes as well. 8

I wasn't the only one to feel the tension thicken, Blake also shifted uncomfortably in his place.

And mom...well she escaped into the kitchen to get some chilly ice lemon tea. 4

I cleared my throat. " Do you guys know each other..?" Without even looking at me, Alexander and Kayden answered.

" Nope."

" Not at all." 22

I snickered, their actions tell otherwise. From the look that Blake was giving me, I decided to let it slide.

" I'm leaving, nice meeting you Kanny..." Alexander trailed, a wicked smile on his lips. 11

" It's Kayden." Kayden bit out, I held him back from pouncing on Alexander who sauntered out of the house with his black leather jacket and helmet.

" Assh***" I heard Kayden mutter under his breath. 16

" And yet you tell me you don't know him." I mocked.

I gave myself a mental note never to sit alone outside the hut at 7 p.m., it isn't the most pleasant feeling having to hear weird animal noises around me.

" Sorry I'm late," Alexander jogs up to me, holding a box of pizza in one hand while the other held the strap of his bag.

" Lucky for you, pizza is my favourite, you're forgiven!" I grabbed the pizza box.

" I remembered." He chuckled, taking a seat beside me as we watched the gentle waves crash against the shore.

With my mouth full, I didn't bother hesitating to get right to the point.

"So what do you wanna talk about?"

" Wow I was hoping the pizza would have stopped you from jumping right into it." He bit his lip with an uneasy smile.

In a posh accent I spoke, " Well I'm a busy man Wilde, so don't waste my time." I glanced at my wrist, pretending to look at my imaginary watch. He chuckled, running his fingers through his dark blonde hair. 2

" Look Gabriel...I'm really sorry for the way I reacted that night, I was drunk and my emotions got the best of me. I left off that day because I wanted to think through and I finally came to a sound decsion." He clasped his hands together. 1

I raised an eyebrow at him.

" Okay first, the way you're talking to me right now is so formal that I get the vibe that you're about to propose to me." A small smile broke out on his lips, he seemed less tense now.

" See that's more like it, now tell me what's your sound decsion?" I rested my chin on my fist, he looked breathtaking just by sitting there with those gorgeous brown eyes that were framed by his bold eyebrows. 4

He let out a shaky breath.

" I think its best for us to pretend like that kiss never happened..."

Now, I think I might have just swallowed my tongue...
