Chloe’s POV⏩

I arrived home that evening but i wasn’t myself, i really don’t know what to do, maybe the best way is to quit this job. Declan is so serious, why me of all people. I thought we were only friends.

“hey what’s up with you, you don’t look happy? Erica asked bringing me out of my thoughts.

“am..fine,” i stuttered.

“if you say so,” she shrugged laid down beside me facing the ceiling.

“you look worried,” she said while i sat down, i think i just need someone to share this with.

“Erica am not only worried but confused. I mean… Declan the one i told you about… he said he likes me. I mean he confess his love for me,” I said while she sat down.

“he did, so what did you say? she asked.

“it not a new thing to me afterall, but i don’t feel that way towards him..

“no Chloe, you refuse to give your heart a chance to feel that way. You still don’t believe in love,” she said.

“i don’t know Erica, i feel so bad, i know he must be hurt but i have to tell him i don’t feel that way towards him and not to keep him waiting and hurt him the more,”

“love is sweet when you’re with the right person, that’s what mom always told us. Don’t be quick to tell him you don’t love him, just try to give your heart a chance,” she said while i smile then hug-ged her.

“you’re right Erica. Maybe love is sweet when you’re with the right person..but i don’t know if i will ever get to love, not after what dad did to mom. Mom said she truly loves him but he hurt her to the core. Is that what love is all about.. to get hurt and end up being a single poor mother like our mom,” i said letting my tears slide down

“look Chloe, your love story might not be the same as that of mom and your dad. Everyone has his or her own story and it differs. Yours might be so sweet and not bitter. Just try to believe in love,” she said while i smile amidst of tears.

“thank you Erica, i don’t know what else i would have done without a sister like you and i always hope Jasmine will gonna accept us someday.

?Declan’s POV?

I don’t know why she suddenly left, i hope she feels the same way for me because i love her, i really do and am willing to have her to myself no matter what, i just hope she accept me because i can’t stand to see her reject me.

“hey dude..” Ethan said as he came to my room.

“what did she said? he asked while i looked at him then sighed.

“she left without saying anything. I hope she’ll come tomorrow,”

“i hope so too. Chloe is a nice girl maybe you’re her secret crush and she loves you too, afterall you’re handsome, rich and popular who wouldn’t want you as a friend,” he said while i smile.

“that’s the point. Chloe is just so different from the girls i have meet in my enitre life, she doesn’t care about the fame nor money nor anything, she’s just different and that’s what attra-cted her to me, i truly love her,” i said while he smiled.

“don’t worry Declan, i’ll walk to her myself, i will make her understand how much you truly love her,” He said while i smile then hug-ged him.

“i hope she agrees to do that bro,” i said while he laugh.

“Declan is in love, my brother is finally in love isn’t that amazing that the great playboy has decide to settle down,” he said while i hit him playfully.

“hey, don’t let Chloe here that, afterall am no longer a playboy ever since i came back from Germany,” i said while we laughed.

“okay then it a good thing you’re now in love,” he said while i smiled.

“what about you Ethan? i asked while i saw the sad look on his face.

“am fine, that’s why i decide to quit every girl in my life..” he said sadly.

“huh… what about Jasmine, don’t you still like her even as a friend? i asked while he looked at me.

“of course i do, am not just interested in her anymore, i just want to be alone,” he said kinda pissed then left, i wonder what making him angry all of a sudden.

Ethan’s POV

I quickly rushed to my room and hit my fist against the wall, i gro-an in pain then threw myself helplessly on the bed and was lost in my own thoughts.

?Chloe’s POV?

The next morning i felt so weak, i felt like not going to work, i don’t want to see Declan not because am angry or something else but because i just don’t want to see him, atleast not now, but what else will i do. I took my bath and got dressed. Erica was done with our breakfast.

“Chloe.. are you okay.. you don’t look happy,” mom said while i smile.

“you see am happy now,” i said faking a smile while Erica laughed.

“that isn’t how you look when happy,” Erica said while mom looked at me.

“Chloe dear, don’t you think it time to quit working for Nicholas. Am very sure Sebastain will hlep us once he’s back from mexico,” she said while i sighed.

“okay mom, but are you sure we can trust Sebastain, i don’t want you to end up getting hurt for the second time,” i said while she nodded.

“Their’s no harm in trying Chloe, maybe he truly wanna help,” mom said.

“sure, he’s damn rich, that’s one thing i like about him atleast he’s kind enough and decide to help us,” Erica said while i gulped down some water then stood up to leave.

“okay then, i have to go,” i said then ki-ssed mom cheeks and aunt Cecily.

“take care Chloe,” Erica said.
“take care too,” i smile then left.

⏩ My heart was beating fast-er when i walked into the huge mansion. I still can’t believe Declan love me.. I press the doorbell when i saw a woman with blonde hair open the door, it guess she must be Ethan’s mother.

“good morning ma’am,” i greeted but she just glare at me then walked pa-ssed, i wonder where she’s going this early morning. I walked in and the first person i saw was Ethan, my heart beat more fast-er than ever. He’s eyes were on me and i wonder why the heck he was staring at me this way.

“hi,” i said while he smile revealing his dimple, looking more handsome.

“Chloe,” he said then walked closer to me, am glad he’s talking to me now atleast as a friend.

“i have to get on with the work and i have something to tell you,” i said to him while he kept staring at me.

“am quiting this job anytime soon,” i said while i saw the sad look on his face.

“what.. it just ..

“it almost a month now Ethan and beside my aunt has fully recover,” i said while he just nodded.

“well it your choice, i can’t for-ce you,” he said then walked back to his room. I get on with what bring me here, i still haven’t seen Declan, i hope he’s fine.

When am done with breakfast i told Ethan about it and also Declan.

“breakfast is ready,” i said while he smile seeing me.
“okay, so how are you? he asked.

“am fine,” i replied with a smile.
“you can join us have breakfast,” he said.

“i actually ate before coming so am fine,” i said then turn to leave but i felt his warm hands on my wirst.

“are you trying to avoid me? he asked while i slowly removed my hands from his.

“of course not Declan,” i said then walked back downstairs.
After some minutes Ethan was dressed already i guess he’s going to work, but he still doesn’t look happy and it bothering me.. well why am i even bothered about him, checking his mood weither his sad, happy. Well he’s one hell of a grumpy guy!

Staying here is so bored so i decided to take a stroll at the garden since Declan showed me the places yesterday.

⏩Jasmine’s POV⏩

“am sorry dad,” i said then hug-ged him.

“am not gonna leave you for any reason not even for that bitc-h call she called herself my mom,” I said.

“Jasmine i just want you to be yourself, i really love you and i don’t want to see you hurt,” he said while i smiled then turn to mom who was smiling.

“thank you so much mommy,” I said then hug-ged her.

“i always want to see you happy Jasmine so stop being too rude to us, because we’re your parent, just try to be like Sean,” mom said while i looked at Sean who was grining.

“hey it not as if am a bad girl,” i said while he laughed.

“okay, i guess you’re all ready,” dad said while i and Sean shouted in excitement. Dad will gonna take us out and by thursday we’re all going to Switzerland for a family vacation were we’ll be together as family, one happy family!!!

“okay dad am ready,” Sean said happily then held dad’s hand while i hgeld mom’s hand and we walekd out to our limousine.

?Chloe’s POV?

I arrived home, today was boring, so i left so early and beside Declan is also at work he hasn’t talk about what he said yesterday, that’s a relief for me but maybe he’s giving me time to think. i really don’t know what to think about this and turnning him down will gonna hurt him like hell. I check my time and it getting to seven PM. Erica was dressed in a short gown almost transparent and putting on a heels. What she’s wearing cost a lot and i wonder where she got the money to buy all these.

“Erica, where are you going? i asked while she smiled.
“to the club, my boyfriend invited me their,” she said.

“what! have you forgot what happen to us at Quebec when we went to party, i was almost ra-ped and you were drunk, and why are you dressing like this? i asked.

“Chloe.. am damn tried of living a boring life just like yours, am going out to chill with friends and afterall am done with my exams,” she said.

“but.. Erica what if you get hurt or someone try to …

“no Chloe, i can take care of myself,” she said then hurriedly left. I hope nothing bad happen to her, i wonder who is that her boyfriend, she never mention his name to me, did she even known him that much
