“don’t you wonder how you are here instead of my dad of relatives”, i asked her smiling sheepishly.

Reality struck her, her countenance changed and she was speechless for a while.

“But your mum didn’t act as someone who knows”, she managed to respond.

Our discussion ended immediately the door opened and ushered in my mum. Maryam feigned a smile at my mum which was reciprocated.

i obeyed as i remembered i haven’t eating all day and tis almost 3pm.

I ate in silence after which the doctor said i was free to go.

“wait for me in my car”, my mum directed as she asked for an audience with Maryam.

They talked for 2 minutes and i wondered if i had fainted before telling my mum the truth or vice versa cos the way she was smiling with Maryam was abnormal.

I dismissed the possibility of that as i remembered my mum preferred to call Maryam and tell her i fainted rather than my dad. Kinda strange.

Reaching home my dad was told about the visit to the hospital but Mum preferred to tell him it was for a routine checkup on me before i go back to school. I love you mum.

I tried calling Maryam later in the day but couldn’t find her number on my phone.

I searched but to no avail even her whatsapp contact was missing. Something looks fishy.

A day to my journey back to school i went over to her house but it was locked. I waited for over three hours but no sight of her.
‘has Maryam decided to abort the child and put me in the dark?’, i asked myself.

Not wanting to believe that i messaged her on Facebook, no reply. My heart quivered to the thought of the possibility of Maryam deserting me.

There must be an explanation, something must have come up and she travelled.

I decided to ask my mum for Maryam’s number but it was met with most harsh response i have ever received from my mum.
“am i a sister to her”, she replied
she hurled insults at me before asking me to better prepare and go back to school.

That night i cried out my eyes. I promised never to fvvk again till marriage. I prayed to God asking for forgiveness and guidance to overcome impending challenges.

I arrived I.B exactly 12 noon via a direct flight from Abj. My dad who drove me to the airport never acted like someone who knows his son is gonna be a bastard’s dad soon.

After unpacking my clothes to the wardrobe i prepared noodles and ate. I logged on to Facebook and sent another message to Maryam but no reply of any sort.

I decided to let go off her and concentrate on my school life. That semester ran so fast and soon enough i was at home for holidays. I fvvkeed only thrice that semester, Shade, Tolu and Efe. I made sure i used my own condom during this encounters and even declined involving in second encounter with any.

I Decided to spend my holidays at suleja a place where i find solace.

My cousins welcomed me and i even told Faith aka Chika(my best cousin) about Maryam and I.

I cried while she comforted me. Then i thought it was the most challenging period of my live but i was wrong cos the beginning is the easiest.
