It stopped directly in front of Alloy.

“Go ahead.”
“Open it.”
Alloy stared at the file.
His fingers hesitated.
“What could possibly be inside?” he wondered.

Slowly…

He stretched out his hand.
The entire office became unusually quiet.
Even the ticking wall clock sounded louder than before.

Tick…
Tick…

Tick… ⏰
Just as Alloy was about to open the file…

KNOCK! KNOCK! 🚪
Everyone turned toward the door.

The Principal frowned slightly.
“Come in.”

The office door opened gently.
The school secretary hurried inside, carrying a sealed brown envelope in her hand.
“I’m sorry for interrupting, sir.”
The Principal adjusted his glasses.

.
“What is it?”

She walked closer and respectfully handed him the envelope.
“Sir, this was just delivered from the Education Board.”
“They said it is urgent and should get to you immediately.”

The Principal accepted the envelope.

“Thank you.”
The secretary bowed slightly before quietly leaving the office.

The door closed.
Once again…
Silence.

The teachers watched curiously as the Principal slowly opened the envelope.
He carefully unfolded the document inside.
His eyes moved from one line to another.

Then suddenly…
His expression changed.
The calm look on his face disappeared.
His eyebrows slowly drew together.

He adjusted his glasses again as though he wasn’t sure he had read the document correctly.
The Vice Principal immediately noticed.
“Sir…”

“Is everything alright?”
The Principal didn’t respond.
Instead…

He read the document again.
This time more slowly.
The Head of Science Department exchanged confused glances with the Guidance Counselor.

Nobody understood what was happening.

Alloy remained seated, watching everything with growing anxiety.

His heartbeat became faster.
“What is inside that letter?” he wondered.

The Principal slowly lowered the paper onto his desk.
He looked at it.

Then…

He slowly lifted his eyes and looked directly at Corper Alloy.
Their eyes met.
The Principal looked back at the document.

Then at Alloy once more.
His expression remained unreadable.
The entire office fell into complete silence. 🤐
Nobody dared to speak.
Even the ceiling fan seemed louder than before.

Alloy felt a cold chill run through his body.
His throat suddenly became dry.
The Vice Principal finally couldn’t hold back anymore.
“Sir…”
“What exactly happened?”
Still…

The Principal remained silent.
After what felt like an eternity, he slowly leaned back in his chair.

He removed his glasses.
Took a long, deep breath.
Then slowly shook his head.
“My goodness…”

Every teacher in the office looked at one another.
Confusion filled their faces.
The Principal looked straight at Corper Alloy again.
His voice was calm…
But carried a weight that made Alloy’s heart almost stop.
“Corper Alloy…”
“I honestly wasn’t expecting this.”

Alloy swallowed hard.
“What… what is it, sir?” he asked nervously.
The Principal remained silent.
He gently folded the document and placed it back inside the envelope.

Then he looked around at the three senior teachers before returning his gaze to Alloy.
Whatever was written inside that document…

It had completely changed the atmosphere inside the office.
And judging from the expressions on everyone’s faces…

Nothing was ever going to be the same again.
