Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 36
The atmosphere inside the Principal’s office remained heavy.
Corper Alloy sat quietly on the chair opposite the Principal’s desk, trying his best to remain calm.
But inside…
His heart was pounding like a talking drum. ❤️🔥
He slowly looked around the office.
The Principal sat comfortably behind his large wooden desk, his fingers folded together.
By his right sat the Vice Principal.
Beside him was the Head of Science Department.
The Guidance Counselor occupied the last seat.
Every one of them looked serious.
Not a single smile.
Not a single word.
The silence alone was enough to make Alloy uncomfortable.
He quietly rubbed his sweaty palms against his neatly ironed khaki trousers.
Finally, the Principal adjusted his glasses and broke the silence.
“Corper Alloy.”
“Yes, sir.”
“You look nervous.”
Alloy forced a faint smile.
“A little, sir.”
The Principal nodded.
“I understand.”
He leaned back slightly.
“You’ve probably spent the last two days wondering why I invited you here.”
“Yes, sir.”
“And you’ve imagined all kinds of possibilities.”
Alloy lowered his head respectfully.
“Yes, sir.”
One of the senior teachers smiled briefly.
“That’s perfectly normal.”
The Principal continued.
“First of all…”
“I want you to relax.”
“This is not a disciplinary panel.”
Those words brought Alloy a little relief.
But only for a moment.
If it wasn’t a disciplinary meeting…
Then why were four senior members of staff sitting together just to see one ordinary corper?
His confusion only increased.
The Principal picked up a blue file from his table.
He opened it carefully.
Several documents were neatly arranged inside.
He glanced through a few pages before looking back at Alloy.
“Tell us…”
“How has your experience been since you resumed service in this school?”
“So far, sir, everything has been fine.”
“You enjoy teaching?”
“Very much, sir.”
“You’ve settled in well?”
“Yes, sir.”
The Vice Principal leaned forward.
“We’ve observed you for several months now.”
“You arrive early.”
“You dress properly.”
“You respect members of staff.”
“You teach confidently.”
“You’ve hardly missed any class.”
The Head of Science Department nodded in agreement.
“The practical classes have also improved since you came.”
The Guidance Counselor smiled.
“Many students speak well of you.”
For the first time since entering the office…
Alloy felt some of the fear leave his body.
Maybe…
Just maybe…
This meeting wasn’t what he feared after all.
The Principal continued.
“Every corper posted to this school leaves behind a record.”
“Some leave good memories.”
“Others leave unpleasant ones.”
He paused.
“And a few leave unforgettable impressions.”
Again…
Silence filled the office.
The Principal slowly closed the file.
Then he looked directly at Alloy.
“Before we proceed further…”
“I want you to look at something.”
He gently pushed the blue file across the desk.
It stopped directly in front of Alloy.
“Go ahead.”
“Open it.”
Alloy stared at the file.
His fingers hesitated.
“What could possibly be inside?” he wondered.
Slowly…
