Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 38
The silence inside the Principal’s office became almost unbearable.
Corper Alloy remained seated, his eyes fixed on the Principal.
His heartbeat echoed loudly inside his chest. ❤️🔥
Nobody spoke.
Nobody moved.
The slow sound of the ceiling fan was the only thing breaking the silence.
Whrrrr…
Whrrrr…
The Principal looked at the brown envelope lying on his desk before lifting his eyes toward Alloy once again.
For a brief moment, it seemed as though he wanted to say something.
But he stopped.
The Vice Principal finally cleared his throat.
“Sir…”
“Is everything alright?”
The Principal remained silent.
He slowly folded the document, placed it carefully back inside the envelope and rested both hands on the table.
He let out a deep sigh.
“Hmmm…”
The three senior teachers exchanged confused glances.
Whatever was inside that envelope…
It had clearly changed everything.
Alloy could no longer hide his curiosity.
“Sir…”
The Principal looked at him.
“Yes, Corper Alloy?”
“With all due respect…”
“Have I done something wrong?”
The Principal stared at him for a few seconds before replying.
“Why do you think that?”
“Because ever since I entered this office, everyone has been unusually serious.”
He glanced briefly at the envelope.
“And after reading that document… your expression changed completely.”
The Principal nodded slowly.
“I understand your concern.”
He paused for a moment.
Then said calmly,
“Sometimes…”
“…certain matters require patience.”
Those words only made Alloy more confused.
The Head of Science Department leaned forward.
“Sir…”
“Should we continue?”
Before the Principal could answer—
KNOCK! KNOCK! 🚪
The office door opened.
The school secretary hurried inside.
“I’m sorry for interrupting, sir.”
The Principal adjusted his glasses.
“Yes?”
“Sir, the officials from the Local Government Education Authority have arrived.”
“They’re already waiting for you in the conference room.”
The Principal looked at his wristwatch.
“Oh…”
“I almost forgot.”
He stood up immediately.
Turning to the teachers, he said,
“We’ll have to suspend this meeting for now.”
The Vice Principal looked surprised.
“But sir…”
“What about Corper Alloy?”
“We’ll continue later.”
The Principal faced Alloy.
“I’m sorry.”
“This official meeting cannot wait.”
“I’ll send for you when I’m available.”
Alloy slowly stood up.
“Yes, sir.”
He wanted to ask more questions.
He desperately wanted to know what was inside the envelope.
But looking at the Principal’s face…
He knew this wasn’t the right time.
He saluted respectfully.
“Thank you, sir.”
The Principal nodded.
“You may go.”
Alloy quietly turned and walked toward the office door.
Just before stepping outside, he looked back one last time.
The Principal had already picked up the brown envelope again.
He carefully placed it inside his drawer.
Then…
He locked the drawer with a small key.
Without saying a word.
That single action made Alloy even more curious.
“What could possibly be inside that envelope?” he wondered.
He gently closed the office door behind him.As Alloy walked through the school corridor, he suddenly remembered what his roommate had told him earlier that morning before he entered the Principal’s office.
His roommate had laughed and said,
“Guy, no matter wetin happen inside that office, I’ll be waiting for you inside the laboratory. Once you’re done, come straight there. I wan hear everything wey Principal talk.” 😄
