bethel POV

We walked into the sitting room. Rico’s uncle was standing looking at Jasmine angrily. His aunt was crying and I saw two other boys, I guess they are Jasmine’s brothers.

“Uncle James,” Rico called then his glare turned to Rico. I went and then sat down beside Jasmine, she looked at me, she was crying, and her eyes and face were red and swollen for how long she has been crying.

“Bethel.” She called and then hugged me.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“not really.” She replied.

“You permitted her to date the guy??.” Jasmine’s dad yelled.
“she is 19 uncle and I decided to tell her about it, although I didn’t tell her about s*x, I forgot about that so it’s not her fault, it’s mine,” Rico said. (wait! he is taking the blame).

“I can’t believe this is coming from you, Rico, I told you to make sure she doesn’t date or see any guy.”

“Katherine already has a boyfriend.”

“Yeah, that’s child’s play, she can’t get pregnant like how your worthless cousin did,” Uncle said.

Rico’s POV

I know it’s going to be hard talking to uncle James about it, he is the strictest person among all of Jefferson’s family although my father was the most strict he calm down when he got married to my mother. Uncle James is the 2nd son of my Grandfather (mark Jefferson) my father is the first, they are six, two dead, four remaining (two died in an air crash when I was born, actually coming to visit me) my grandfather is very strict and a very wicked man, well I’m grateful that my father is not wicked like my grandfather, well the rumors I heard about him is that he killed a lot of people, I can’t even kill a fly, I’m so damn serious although I look like I could I can’t, my grandfather is much alive but living in a very far country, we go to visit him like once in five years, Katherine doesn’t know him and she does not like him. My dad only has one sister, she is very nice, she took after my grandmother like in our family we only have one girl from each, like my dad gave birth to me, my brother and my sister, my uncle James, Jasmine, Jeff, Jude, uncle Luis, Stephanie, Mico, Finn, even maybe I and Bethel would have two boys and a girl, wait what am I even talking about am I planning a future for I and bethel, ewwwwwwwn gross

” she is your daughter uncle James that does not mean you would neglect her like that, yeah we know you are pretty angry because she got pregnant but you don’t have to kill her for that, she is a woman and also an adult she can decide for herself,” Bethel said, why does she have to talk I wonder what uncle James is going to do now

” you mean she should decide for herself, but you were forced into marriage, you didn’t decide for yourself even though you are 21 or 22, so you have no right or authority to teach me how to train my daughter,” he said angrily….. bethel sigh, please please, she should not say anything…. but guess what I was all wrong

” We know Jasmine is your daughter and we also know she got pregnant for my best friend at the age of nineteen (19) but one thing you lack uncle, is respect ” everybody looked at her in surprise

” you lack respect for women or even pregnant women, I know I got forced into something I don’t want to do but I’m kinda enjoying it now, but let me tell you something that you would regret, you would regret making her abort the child, imagine a little innocent child that doesn’t know what is happening, but what is happening is that he/she grandfather is planning on killing him, imagine your mother was so wicked to kill you from birth, you wouldn’t have been here today haven’t you seen some teenagers getting pregnant at the age of 14 or 15, I wonder what their parents are going to do about it but please I beg of you, Jasmine is just nineteen 19 and she might die through abortion or even taking pills” bethel explained

” you fucking bitch” uncle angrily yelled and was about to hit bethel right on her face when I held his hands

” no no no, not my wife uncle she is my wife,” I said, he angrily remove his hands from mine

” then tell your fucking wife to mind her business, Jasmine is my daughter I can do whatever I want to do with her and there is no living being or animal that can stop me,” he said then turned to Bethel

” and you Bethel the next time you interfere with my family issues, your husband needs to buy a coffin” he added

” Uncle James, she is my wife and there is nothing you can do to her, you know what that means, it means she is part of Jefferson’s family now and she has the right to say anything in any family issues,” I said

” shut up Rico, I don’t wanna fight with you, just know that Jasmine is not carrying that baby as far as she is under this roof,” the uncle said

” then she would come live with me and Shawn,” Bethel said

” do you know what that means I disown her”

” We know uncle,” I said, he sighed then looked at Jasmine

” I don’t want to see you close to this house, I’m not your father and you are not my daughter”

” James” my uncle’s wife called ( aunty Diane)

” don’t say anything Diane, I don’t want to start with you,” Uncle James said and he angrily stormed out of the living room

” thank you, Rico and Bethel,” aunty Diane Said

” thank you for letting me stay at your house I promise immediately I get an apartment I would leave,” Jasmine said, bethel hug her as she patted her back

” you can stay for as long as you want,” bethel said

” Rico” Jasmine called as she walked closer to him

” I’m sorry Rico, it was all my fault dad yelled at you” Jasmine added

” you are regretting your actions right??”

” no I’m not, I never regretted anything I did with Cole, I love him so much,” she said

” you better tell Cole not to come closer to you or else, he is going to be the one your dad is going to buy a casket for,” I said then angrily walked out of the sitting room

bethel POV

we entered the house
” bethel” Jasmine called

” yes ” I answered

” I want to talk to Cole, like see him,” she said as I opened the guest room

” what if Rico sees you, Cole is going to be in a lot of trouble,” I said

” I need to see him,” she said then I sigh

” I would call him to come over without Rico knowing, maybe I would try to do something to make him sleep,” I said then she nodded

” thank you,” she said

” you are welcome, but I need you to bathe and dress and maybe have a little rest,” I said

” Okay,” she said then I came out of the room before closing the door

I opened the door, I saw Rico looking outside from the balcony… I need to do this for Cole and Jasmine, I quickly walked into the bathroom and then called Cole

” bethel” he called

” you need to come over, Jasmine is at my house and she wants to see you, don’t worry, I would talk to the guard outside,” I said

” Okay, I would be there in 10 minutes,” he said than ended the call, I called the guard and told him

I slid into an ericdress stylish plain hand kit rope bikini set, I remove the rope that was on my hair making my hair fall, I took a red sharp matte lipstick, I put little powder on my face I look at myself in the mirror one more time….. I’m so scared I haven’t stayed like this in front of a man before
