Ciara's POV

We were busy doing the final touches on the sketches that we were supposed to be used to make Chloe's dress when I heard a commotion in the living room.

Obvious it was the spoilt brat creating some drama. You know dramatic brat should be her name...But it was none of my business, her brothers could handle her.

Well, that's what I thought until Carol came to fetch me...

And guess what, Chloe had the audacity to slap a stupid question on my face.

"Where is Sophie's diamond ring???"

"Did you fall and hit your head???" I asked her...

"Chloe, dear this is not the way to solve this matter. Maybe the ring is somewhere in her room..." Mrs Marcias tried to be civil and realistic...

"No mother, one is not supposed to be linient with thieves...." Chloe retorted...

"Can someone please brief me on what is going on???? Thief, diamond and me..."

"You stole Sophie's diamond ring..." Chloe said it out loud...

"It's a prank right???" I chuckled...

"No dear, you are the thief..." Chloe narrowed her eyes at me suspiciously...

"Sophie, what kind of madness is this???" I squealed in surprise...

Why would I steal a diamond ring??? These people were not being realistic...

"What's happening here???" Jordan asked running downstairs..

. His mother, sister, sister in law and Natalie were there apart from the twins...

"Ciara stole Sophie's ring..." It seemed Chloe was out to finish me...

"You don't have any evidence..." I defended myself...

"If they say you stole it then you stole it..." Jordan said it on my face...

His words tore my insides apart..I thought he was a wise man but he proved to be a baby in a man's body...

"Jordan, you can't accuse me with no proof???"

"Are you saying my family is lying

. If Sophie says you stole it then you stole it..." He yelled...

Now I wanted to rip his heart out...

"You are the only one who came to my room to take measurements for the dress you are supposed to make me...I can't suspect Chloe..." Sophie narrated.

"And why would I take your ring???" I asked in dismay..

"Maybe you wanted to buy something. Maybe you were broke..." Jordan replied boldly...

My anger was increasing in waves. The more they accused me, the more i got mad...

"I didn't take your ring..."

"Guys calm down, maybe she didn't take the ring..." Mrs Marcias tried coming to my rescue...

"No mother, don't trust this middle class women...They are very Conny.." Was Chloe sent by the devil to finish me???

"Where is the ring???" Chloe held me by the arm...

"Don't cross the limits with me Chloe," I threatened when Jaxon walked in...

"What's happening here????" Jaxon asked running to my rescue and dropped Chloe's hand...

"Ask your designer..."

"Answer him, it seems you have the energy to scream..." I replied rudely...

"She stole Sophie's ring..." She said boldly.

"What???" Jaxon exclaimed. His eyes widening as he held his hands up.

"Yes brother, you should fire her..."

"Chloe, who gave you the right to accuse her???" Jaxon thundered...

"But Sophie said she was the only one in her room..."

He walked to where Sophie was, "Did you see her take it???" She took her head in disapproval..

He then walked to Jordan,"Today, I am ashamed to call you my brother. You are here looking at them while they insult Ciara. I know you hate her but this is injustice. As the elder sibling you should have taken control over the situation..."

"But our family can't lie..." Jordan retorted.

"I wonder how you manage to ran a multi billionaire company.. You are a heartless man. You let hate cloud your judgement and that's dispeakable."

"But..."

"No buts.." He turned to his mother, "Even you mother. I am ashamed..."

"We have never had any theft scandal until she started working here..." Chloe claimed...

I could feel tears burn behind my tears but I wasn't gonna cry infront of them. They didn't deserve my precious tears...

Jaxon noticed my discomfort and held my hand giving it a comfortable squeeze...

"I trust Ciara. And yes she might have an attitude but I know she would never do something like that...She is principled so anyone who accuses her will feel my wrath..."

Atleast Jaxon stood by me...The fact that he trusted me made my heart skip a beat...

"Brother don't let the looks fool you..." Chloe continued to insist...

"Chloe I didn't take that ring..." I barked. My anger was nothing but a shield for the pain I was feeling for being called a thief...

"We should call the police..." Chloe reached out for her phone in her sweatpants pocket.

"Yes we should..." Jordan seconded...

Sophie was all confused looking me with pitiful eyes. If we were alone, I would have scratched them out of their socket...

"No one is calling the police..." Mrs Marcias snatched the phone from her," Jaxon is right, what proof do we have???"

"Mother this ladies are....."

"Jordan enough..." Jaxon butted in and yelled, "Don't let me lose the respect I have for you..."

"Brother, you have never yelled at me..." Jordan said in a calmer voice.

"I don't advocate for injustice..."

I couldn't believe what was happening.

. It felt like I was in a courtroom fighting a losing battle. How was I to explain where a ring I didn't take was???

"That ring is worth two million...Kindly give us the ring and we will only kick you out and not call the police..." Chloe insinuated and I rolled my eyes.

"Call them, I said with utmost confidence...You don't scare me..."

Just then Mason walked into the mansion...

"What with the commotion???"

The advocate for justice answered, "Ciara stole Sophie's ring..." Her arms crossed on her chest

"Wait, it's that not the ring I took to the jewellery shop this morning???..." Mason replied and Sophie slapped her forehead smiling...

There was nothing to smile about witch.. Not only was she a spoilt brat but had a low IQ. I pity the one who would marry her...

"So the ring is in the jewellery shop?" Jaxon confirmed and Mason nodded...

And the next thing we heard was a slap on Sophie's face.

"Are you happy you have humiliated Ciara???" Mrs Marcias reprimanded, "Apologise to her..."

Sophie walked to me to apologise but I looked away... I didn't want to bruise her face for the humiliation she had caused...

"Chloe do you also want a slap to reminded you that you need to apologise????" Jaxon lashed out.

The evil woman rolled her eyes and before she could speak, I gave her a slap that was more of an open-handed smack that left a red welt behind...

She staggered backwards, clutching her face and her eyes watering...

"I warned you but you didn't listen. Don't ever mess with me. And for the record, I will never forget this humiliation..." I cussed out and run to the fashion studio... I was done with her crap...

I now had the opportunity to cry...I felt the wetness of my skin and each drop as it emerged from my open eyes...

Once again my emotions were turned jagged and my insides tight. I wanted to cry out to those who really cared...

"Ciara, sshhhhh!!!!" Jaxon caged me inside his arms... All I needed was a hug and he understood...

"Jaxon, I wanna get out of here...Please get me out of here..." I cried...

"Okay we are going," He pulled back, "I am sorry that I wasn't there earlier..." I could feel the apology in his voice...

"Thank you for standing by me...For believing me. It meant alot..."

He rested his forehead on mine, "I said I will always be there for you, remember???"

"Thank you..." I said with a voice so wavery.

"It's okay, let's get you home..." He kissed me on the forehead, grabbed my handbag, held my hand and walked me out of there like a real man would do...
