PREVIOUSLY ON EXTRACTION

Why am I feeling so sad???

My head is arching me…

My heart….

I heard a familiar voice calling out for me, but I couldn’t answer back..

I’m having an attack…

My chest feels too tight as I groaned loudly..

The pain increases as everything became blurry..

The pain in my chest increased and at the same time I’m having difficulties in breathing..

My heart throbbing reduces immensely as everything suddenly became dark….

NISSI’S POV

I was on my way to my office when Travis texted me, that he was on his way to my office…

Travis is a lifesaver…

Everything about him is lively and fun..

I won’t have to miss my daughter’s absence that much..

My lips curved up with a bright smile, as I recalled how happy Treasure was when she saw her father..

Her face glittered when she saw me walked out of his office…

She waved at me happily and ran back to his office…

Surprisingly, I met Travis waiting patiently for me at my PA’s desk..

He sat down on the desk with his legs crossed looking more handsome in suit… Like a real model..

My model..

I feel myself blushed at the thought of how envious many ladies would be of me for having such handsome guy beside me all the time…

“I thought you said you were on your way here..”I spoke up, as I walked past him to open my office door…

” I was… What happened to your secretary??”He asked as he stepped inside my office..

“She’s ill..”I replied…

“Shouldn’t you be at the hospital??”I asked him and he giggled…

“No morning appointments… I just came to spend time with my babe..”

“Ooohhh really???”I asked raising my eyebrow…

“Yes dear… Where is Treasure???”he asked…

“I dropped her off at her dad’s office…”I replied sitting down on my chair..

“So have you finally decided to tell your parent about your illness???”he asked sitting down directly opposite me, my desk keeping us apart…

“Nope”I replied stressing the ‘p’..

“I thought we agreed that you’ll tell them after the wedding..”

I stood up from my seat, striding off majestically to stand before him..

I’m feeling a slight headache..

“Let’s not argue about this again, Travis…”i said sitting down on my desk facing him while massaging my head…

“I thought you wanted me to be happy, do this for me, please…”He pleaded..

I know he’s scared..

I am scared too…

“I prefer pregnancy to this”he whispered, his comment instigating me to anger..

“Travis, please don’t ask this of me… You know how angry I felt when I thought I was pregnant for him… I hate him so much.. He rejected me, he used me, Travis…”I shouted angrily..

He stood up from his seat wrapping his arms around my waist…

His touch slowly melted my anger..

“I know but as your therapist I want you to heal completely… I need a healthy relationship from you .. I can’t loose you too, I love you so much Nisei…”He pecked my forehead..

“I love you too, Travis…”i replied as I embraced him tightly..

“Give me some time, I’ll tell them immediately Paul gets back from his honeymoon..”I whispered to his ear…

“But that’ll be next week… It’s too far..”He breaks the embrace…

“I know… I just want to tell them all at the same time…”I beckoned..

“Okay… Next week it is…”he agreed..

“Mommy…..”Treasure screamed…

Treasure????

I tensed up….

“Mommy….”Treasure screamed and we rushed out…

I screamed out loud seeing Fabian on the floor..

Sweating and rolling profoundly…

As he groaned in pain…

I panicked as I rushed towards him, I placed his head on my lap…

“Fabian…”I shook him…

“Daddy.., please open your eyes…”Treasure sobs…

I turned around but I couldn’t find Travis…

Where the hell is Travis??

“Someone, please help…”I shouted..

Ooohhh my gosh???

What should i do???

“Fabian, please open your eyes..”I sob as he groaned holding his chest ..

“Daddy…. Daddy open your eyes…”Treasure sobs loudly…

His body started to vibrate awkwardly…

Suddenly he stopped shaking… His whole body became stiff and still..

This is not good

“Fabian….”I panicked slapping his cheeks…

Please don’t die on me…

“Step aside…”Travis rushed to him..

I relunctanly move aside, holding my daughter to myself…

I discreetly wiped off my tears..

“What’s happening to him..???”I asked..

“It’s like a panic attack… I don’t really know…”He replied…

He examined him before giving him a CPR ( cardiopulmonary resuscitation )…

Travis tried many times before he breathed out heavily and I sighed in relief…

He opened his eyes weekly before closing them back…

“Sedative..”He whispered groaning softly holding his chest…

Why does he need a sedative??

Travis seems to understand…

“Injection???”he questioned…

And Fabian nodded his head weakly…

“Let’s take him inside first..”I suggested…

“Carry my box..”Travis said as he tried to lift Fabian up but couldn’t…

I gave the box to Treasure as I assisted him to carry him inside my private chamber…

Travis injected him and Fabian dozed off soundly…

“Is daddy gonna be alright???”Treasure asked…

“Yes..”Travis replied as we walked out of the room, but Treasure stayed behind with her daddy..

‘i have philophobia’ his voice rang in my head….

“I don’t think that was panic attack…”Travis spoke up..

“It’s not… He has philophobia..”I replied…

“Ooohhh!!”he exclaimed..

“But why should he be having an attack when he’s not in love with anyone???”Travis muttered…

“Perhaps because of what happened yesterday… Patricia was the only woman he ever loved… After witnessing what just happened to him, i don’t think he ever stopped loving her.. He’s hurt that she did not loved him back.

He loves her alot…”I replied with the only logical reason I can come up with.

Treasure stepped out of the room..

“Come here honey…”I said to her…

And she rushed to embrace me…

“Ssshhhhh!!!! Daddy is okay”I pet her..

“What were you doing here???”I asked curiously…

“Ehmmm!! I forgot my teddy bear in your car…”She replied…

“You should have called me up to bring it back..”

“Actually we were on our way to see my grandpa, so we decided to pick up my bear on our way…”Treasure replied…

“Thank goodness, we were at the office.. He shouldn’t drive when he’s sick….”Travis chipped in..

“I wouldn’t have insisted if I knew he was sick..”Treasure muttered blaming herself…

“It’s not your fault dear… No one knew he was sick… He secretive, he tends to keep things to himself…”I said…

I hope he gets better…

I hate to see my daughter in tears…

FABIAN’S POV

I don’t know how long I slept yesterday at Nissi’s office but I felt better when I woke up…

The pain in my chest had subsided but I had a slight headache and I was very confused…

I needed answers…

My daughter’s eyes were puffy and swollen…

She leaped with joy when she saw me…

It felt nice to see her smile…

I promised to take her to meet my dad some other time..

Which she agreed..

Treasure asked me to go to the hospital for proper treatment…

Nissi on the other hand, did not look my way.. Though she was sitted beside me but she was far away from me, I tried to reach out for her but she kept pulling away…

I felt irritated when I saw Travis beside her, especially the way he was holding her…

Was it jealousy???

Nah!!!

I’ve never been jealous of any one…

I don’t even lover her, so I gat no reason to be jealous…

Feeling uncomfortable among them, I decided to go home even though I knew I was not fit enough to walk nor drive..

I struggled my way out of the office…

Here I am, fulfilling my daughter’s request…

But I’m not going to the hospital to be admitted, I’m here to see my family doctor…

I’m here to seek answers..

He has been the doctor in charge of my health condition…

‘i can do this…’i convinced myself as I knocked lightly on his door…

“Come in son…”He spoke up..

And I twisted the door knob opening the door…

‘i’m here for answers…’i reminded myself…

“Have a seat Fabian…”He said looking pleased to see me and I complied…

“Good morning Greene..”I greeted awkwardly…

“Morning.. it’s been a long time since you visited me here, I was shocked when you called me up this morning…”he pointed out..

I’m also surprised I came here..

“I had an attack yesterday..”I stated.

And he looked shocked…

“Who broke your heart???”he asked…

“I’m not in love with anyone, Greene… Though there’s a lady I like alot…”I replied him…

“Hmmmm…. Tell me everything important about her…”he requested..

“Her name is Nissi Akiko.. She was my brother’s ex-fiance”

“Jayden???”he interrupted questionly

“Yes… He cheated on her with her best friend..”I paused…

“I met her at a bar… I felt her pain… I understood her pain so I requested to help her get over him but then I had no idea, her ex was Jayden ..”

“What do you mean by you felt her pain???”he asked writing something down…

“When I saw her crying and drinking alone.. The urge to console her filled me.. seeing her hurt made me sad but I don’t know why..”I tried to explain..

“It’s a connection… Because you have been in her shoes before… You knew how and why she was sad…

You wanted to protect her from self destruction mood you experienced, Didn’t you???”Dr Greene asked..

“Yes…”I replied..

He wrote something down again…

“Go ahead…”

“I proposed a deal of Extraction… Just to comfort each other and find happiness in each other…”

“Does this extraction involve sex???’he asked…

“Yes Greene…”I replied…

“Do you always have sex when you’re angry and sad???”he asked…

“Yes..”I replied and he wrote it down..

“Who initiates the sex??”

“I do. The only time she did was when I turned her on and decided to deny her of her release.”I replied…

The thought of that moment made me smile…

“It’s an attraction… Your Extraction was a result of an attraction…

“I don’t know..”I replied too sharply..

“I’ve seen you both on TV, I’ve also noticed the way your eyes glitter when you look at her especially when she’s not looking back at you..”he stated..

“Why did you reject her feelings for you???”he asked again..

“Because I have philophobia..”I replied..

“No…. That’s not an excuse..”

“I don’t know why then… Perhaps, because I was scared… Because I can’t love her back. Because I don’t wanna hurt her….”I blurted out…

“You locked your heart.. you can love back but you don’t want to…

You’re still tied down to Patricia…”he paused…

“Continue…”he urged me…

“Then she met someone else after me.. Travis… He’s her therapist..”I said and he smiled…

“Travis Greene, he’s my nephew…”he chuckled….

Ooooh!!!!

“How did you feel seeing her around him all the time???”

“At first, I assume they were friends but i was kinda wishing I was in his position… But now, I feel possessive of her.. it irritates me seeing them together…”

“If this is not love?? Then what is it called???”he asked…

“I don’t know…”I muttered..

“You do… You just won’t admit it so easily… Search your heart, you’ll find the answer…”

“Go on, with your story…”he requested changing the topic..

“Well, I found out that I have a daughter with her…”

“How’s that possible..??”he asked..

“Patricia, my ex-girlfriend and Nissi’s best friend Panel conspired against us..

I slept with Nissi seven years ago while Jayden slept with Panel…”

“Okay… Did she tell you about your daughter herself??”

“She had no idea too… She volunteered to be a surrogate mother for a lady called Cassie not knowing that she was actually pregnant and Cassie was not… Cassie was in need of a child..

Patricia and Panel gave them our daughter….”I explained…

“Okay… Go ahead”

“My daughter requested for a happy family… So I went to Nissi’s office to tell her that I like her that when I overheard she and Travis discuss…”

“So that what caused of your attack???”he asked..

“I don’t know… The pain was extremely and immensely painful…”I stated..

“I don’t know why the pain started???

I’m really confused…”I groaned..

“It happened because you are in love with her….

You were hurt seeing her with another man… You love her, Fabian…”Dr Greene stated…

“That’s impossible…”I stated..

“It’s not…You only had the attack because you’re in love with her and she’s in love with someone else…”

“Philophobia… Fear of falling in love with someone who cannot love you back…”Dr Greene stated…

“The pain you felt yesterday and the ones you had when Patricia betrayed you, which one was more painful???”he asked…

“Yesterday’s attack was more painful..”I replied…

“Does she make you happy??”he asked

“Yeah!! My life has been miserable without her”

“What should I do???”I asked curiously…

“First, you have to accept your feelings.. Then you have to tell her..”He advised…

“I can’t tell her… She’ll just reject me..”I replied hastenly…

I don’t love her, I like her alot…

Like, love, are they the same thing??.

“Stop struggling with yourself… You have to admit it to yourself…”He advised..

“Tell me the real reason you went to her office??”he requested..

“What do you mean???”I asked obviously confused..

“Did you go to her office because you like her or because of your daughter’s request???”he asked…

“That’s a stupid question, Greene…”I spat out…

“It’s not… Just answer it..”he said looking serious..

“I went because I like her and also because my daughter urged me to..”I answered…

“Listen Fabian, your daughter only pressured you but I know you’re not a man to do something you don’t like…”he said….

I went back to her because like her alot…

I love her….

“Accept your feelings… Act on your feelings before it’s too late… Delay is dangerous…”he advised..

“You have to win her back, else the next attack will be worst..”he added

“What do you mean???”I asked…

“The first attack was because you realized she can’t love you back.. but how would you feel when she’s completely owned by someone else..???”

The thought of her married to someone else made my heart ache…

He gat a solid point…

Delay is dangerous….

“Thanks alot doctor…”I shook hands with him…

“I wish you all the best…”he said and I turned to leave but I halted…

“You ask me to woe her from your nephew… Why??”

“I feel bad for my nephew but I’m being professional… I just gave you my honest advised as your doctor…

I wish above all things, that you heal completely.. You deserve to be happy…”he answered

“Thanks alot…”I replied before walking out…

As long as she loved me once, she can also love me again…

“I love her..”I said to myself smiling sheepishly…

Finally, I’ve gotten the answers to my questions…

I was about to start the engine of my car, when I saw Travis walking towards my car hastenly..

Irritatedly, I stepped out of my car, slamming the door shut…

He walked towards me, while I walked up to him to meet him…

“I was on my way out when I saw your car..”he spoke up with a sly smile on his face..

“I had an appointment with your uncle..”I replied…

“Uncle Troy????”he questioned…

“Yes… Dr Troy Greene..”I replied with a smirk on my face…

“Hope you’re feeling better???”he asked looking concerned..

“Yes.. much better than you can imagine..”I replied..

“See ya later..”I said turning around walking back to my car…

“Treasure told me you like Nissi…”he spoke up and I halted…

“I don’t know what you’re talking about…”I said feigning ignorance..

“I can read expression, and I’m a therapist…”he said..

“That does not make you a psychologist…”I pointed out..

“I’m trained in the act, much better than most psychologist…”he said..

“I know you have philophobia.. I’m sure you had an attack because you know Nisei can’t love you back especially now that you like her…”

“I owe you no explanation…”I growled..

“Why are you getting angry over this issue…???”he asked..

“I don’t like Nissi… I love her and I’ll fight to gain her love..”I said..

“She’s my girlfriend now… You can’t take her away from me.. She loves me alot… Only me…”he glared at me..

“If you’re so sure, you have nothing to worry about then… But I’m getting her back…”I stated firmly..

“She’s not a possession you can own.. She’s a jewel to be loved and I love her with all my heart..”he said..

“And I love her with all my heart and soul..”I can’t believe I’m saying that..

“It’s a challenge then…”he stated…

“Challenge accepted…”I glared dangerously at him before walking out on him..
