“thank you man, I really appreciate”

“yeah… Bring him to the bar when you’re done, maybe he just needs some company” Tony offered.

“oh f--k you, not a drunk company tho”

“alright dude, see ya”

I arrived a at the vet and to my surprise, it is closed. Sparrow was coming around by the way but he still needed to be checked up.

I didn’t waste much time in deciding what to do, I tucked sparrow away into the trunk, sprayed air freshener to ease any doggy smell, also I cleaned the hair on the Seats too, my fear now is that sparrow dosent make any noise at the ministers house.

“you’re f-----g late you idiots! ” Eva screamed angrily at me as I eased into the compound.

“I’m sorry, I had a call from my mother ” I lied as I fondled with my key but I glued my eyes on her hands in case if any slap might be coming in unannouced.

“oh screw you! Now you just ruined my day. You’re fir. ..”

“hey you” one of her bodygaurds interrupted her mid way as he came in gesturing to me.

“yeah? ” I answered feeling good that someone had shut the b---h up.

“the minister wants to see you, follow me”

“you still are fired! ” she shouted after me.

“Steve? ” Mr willinks called as we walked into his large office.

His back was turned on us. I haven’t seen his face but the poorly lit room was filled with the puffs from the ministers cigar.

“aye sir, you called me”

*leave us!” he ordered and the bodyguard scampered away throwing me a bad look.

“there’s a lot happening that you don’t know steve” he said as he turned to face me.

“and do I need to know them sir? ” I asked politely as I tried to read his face which was blank and blank and straight.

“I dont know, but you need to be careful and don’t trust anyone! ” he warned with a serious voice which sent shiver down my spine. Whats happening?

I really hate situations that keep me sweating and troubled.

I had decided of calling my friends but I kicked against it to stop myself from bothering to much.

“sir, I really don’t understand anything ” I stammered as I noted.

“be careful please, Eva is my only daughter she’s in your hands now” and with that, he walked past me out of the room.

I stood for some minutes still thinking about everything the minister had just said.

“this ain’t good” I muttered as I walked out of the room too.

“you! ” Eva met me in the door way as I was coming out if the house and she bumped into me crashing into me roughly.

Very quickly, I was about to apologise when she greased my cheek with two cold slaps that left my ears tingling.

“how dare you touch me that way uhn? ”

“I’m sorry” I stammered holding my cheeks in pain.

“you wasted too much of my Time already, come start the car. ” she said as she turned away.

I watched as the big golden chain that looked unusual dangled around her neck with its pendant jumping between her cleavages.

“where are we going? ” I asked with a straight face as I belted myself.

“we’re going to the beach”. She replied as she shut the doors while the guards filed in too – one beside me at the front, the other at the back beside Eva.

We were just few miles away from the house when All of a sudden One of Eva’s bodygaurd ordered me to stop.

“turn this car around and head back home, now! ” he ordered with a voice that sounded different In a way that confused me that I had to look to her for what to do.

“I said turn this car around! ” He yelled again, this time more crazier.

“but I have orders From ma’am to drive her to the beach” I protested looking at Eva who had handsfree plugged into her ears all the while. Carefully,i tapped her thighs and she looked up as she removed the bugs in her ears.

“your bodygaurds ordered me to turn the car around back to the house ” I explained eyeing the guard that sat next to me.

“why? ” she asked looking Surprised

“the minister called now to bring you home” one of the guards offered showing her his mobile.

“oh shit” she sighed dropping back on her seat dejectedly.

“alright, turn the car around”

The Mercedes heaved as I turned it around in a quick movement and so we headed home.

We got home few minutes after due to the speed with which I fired all the way home.

As I approached the driveway into the compound, I was surprised to see the gates open which was unusual.

Slowly, I eased into the house and quickly, the bodygaurds jumped down to escort Eva out while I remained in the car….

WTF is happening???
