No doubt, the alcohol still had effect on me. I wouldn’t drink much but yesterday was just different. My friend made a hell of a good gist out of me when tony whom I seemed fit enough to know about my experience with Eva later shared it to the others claiming that a shared problem is half solved. When I couldn’t bear their foolish talks anymore, I took to drinking alone.

Alcohol made me dream sweet dreams Infact I would InTentionally get drunk when I missed the sweet dreams I had but on this prEvious night was terrible considering the amount of alcohol I took. I had a nightmare, I was in the car and we were kinda running away from something, she was crying and sweating, my dog was bleeding in the tail, everything seemed weird, even our car was upside down…

I woke up with different thoughts in my head, more like I had foreshadowed future events and it gave me goosebumps but on a second thought, I remembered my encounters with Eva and how It had turned out to be a slapping scene back to back.

I munched my sandwich with a Diet Coke and The events Of last week rolled back to my brain, I decided to share my experience with Tony who in turn shared to the rest. First they began by just asking me question before it turned to an irritating jest that I couldn’t bear it anymore.

I was about moving out when I remembered my dog hadn’t had anything since the previous night so quickly, I rushed back to get his biscuit and some milk.

“sparrow! ” I called out as I peeked in the bathroom.

“spartow” I called again and when he wouldn’t answer his name which has never happened before. I rushed into the living room and on entering, I received the greatest shock of my life…

The TV WAS upside down, pillows were ripped and the couch was in a bad shape, the table no longer had it’s four legs and glass cups were shatterd every where . I walked gingerly over the mess as I pushed the broken table outta the way to see sparrow lying down motionless with his eyes closed and his breathing was abnormal. Quickly, I took the almost lifeless animal in my trembling hand.

Was I too drunk to notice something was wrong? Have my dog been trying to pass me a message that I was too busy to get?

“oh God” I sighed as I carried him like a baby.

I belted him to the front seat and with an unstable mind, I drove out of the compound . Time was not on my side alright, I have to pick the ministers daughter by ten it’s nine already And even it’s a one hour drive to the vet.

“hey sUcker” Tony’s voice came up on the other end of the line.

“hey”

“what’s up dude, you sound like you’re kicked out ”

“man it’s bad, sparrow broke down this morning, he tore the whole house through and now he’s dying”

“Chillax dude. Ain’t you supposed to pick up your chick? ”

“yeah… But I’m on my way to the vet now”

“arghh. I say what, I’ll hook you at the vet, you go pick your chick, and I’ll dog sit for you”

“owww. Thanks man.. I owe you”

“no problem dude, be gOod”

I checked my time again and I was running late, I belted on and sped away.
