Reading the message my mum sent got me crazily confused……who wouldn’t be! …

Roxy and Andy in a relationship, but why! … I mean how did it happen! Was Andy that good to her !if yes, Why did he kill her? Why is he bent on destroying my family? Why the hell did he shoot at Candy?

I sighed in frustration

The beast was getting out of hand, only……

Chase! Dave called distracting me from my thoughts

Yes. I answered without looking at him, i had almost forgotten he was in the hospital with me……..

What is wrong? he asked and i looked at him, he was seated beside Tiffany and had probably been watching Nick and i

It is not…. I tried to say but he cut me off

Don’t even try to say that!talk to me, why is Nick acting all Crazy? he asked

I shifted my gaze to Nick , he was pacing up and down the room with quick steps

his sister Just got shot so he is clearly worried . I responded dryly and he smiled lightly

he stood up from the bench and moved closer to me

is it because of Andy? he asked in whispers and i went stiff

how did he know about it? I wondered.

And as if reading my thoughts , he said with a sad smile

It is on the internet , Andy is now a wanted criminal

But how is that possible?I mean how did it get on the internet? I asked still not believing but instead of answering, he handed me his phone to “see for myself”…

I stared at the phone and widened my eyes in surprise at what I read

“Andy Perez, the ex – manager to Nick Delgado is declared wanted by the police for the murder of Roxy Delgado , he is also suspected of being the Mastermind behind the shooting of Candace Noah “………..

This is bullshit! I yelled to no one in particular

What is it Chase? Nick asked moving closer to me, I guessed my yell jolted him out of his thoughts…..

Andy is on the wanted list .i responded in a huff and he gave me a confused look

Wanted list! Why! Did the beast commit any other crime? he asked in a rush and I shook my head

Then why is he on the wanted list? he probed on

Because he killed your mother. I answered and his countenance changed to that of anger…

who the hell informed the police? he yelled

I stared at him without saying anything, I was confused as well… I mean it was meant to be a secret between my mum , Nick and I … wait a minute! did she tell anyone else? If yes, who could that be?……….d--n! Why didn’t I think of it?

It is Neil. I said aloud and they both looked at me

Your father? Dave asked to be sure and I nodded

And why would he do that? he continued

How will I know, that man acts so stupid whenever he is angry . I retorted angrily

Calm down Chase , this is your father you are talking about. Dave cautioned

But he is right , Dad acted so stupid. Nick defended…. I mean how could he ask the cops to add Andy on the wanted list, he could have least made a plan first……this is really so annoying!

The mistake has been made , we just have to put our trust in the police . Dave advised and Nick scoffed

The police! hell no. he blurted out in anger ..

Why! What do you intend doing? Dave asked arching his eyebrow

I will go over to the bastard house and kill him…

But that is dangerous Nick, you can’t face the beast alone.

I know, I will take the police securities along with me .he informed

I will come with you also . I offered but he shook his head

No Chase , you have to wait here

But I can’t allow you …. I tried to say but he cut me off

Please just listen to me, do it for Candy’s sake. he pleaded and I sighed

Dave can you please go with him? I asked and he nodded

I watched Nick walk towards Loretta, he whispered into her ears and pecked her lightly before storming out of the hospital with Dave following behind him…..

I sighed

I Just pray the beast gets caught ……….

On getting outside the hospital, I signalled to three of the police securities , and they immediately followed behind me….

We all got into Dave car and i drove off heading to the bastard house……

On our way to the Andy’s house, Dave explained everything to the officers….

But isn’t it too risky. one of the officer started, you might get hurt. i stared at him through the rear mirror, his gaze was fixed on me

I scoffed

I don’t care, I just want him to pay for his crime……

On getting to Andy’ s house, I stopped the car when I saw a police van parked in front…

It seems the cops are here already.Dave observed and I nodded in agreement…

We all alighted from the the car and walked into the compound

There were two cops officers standing at the front door…

I rushed towards them and one of them pointed at me

Chill! I am just here … I tried to say but he lowered his gun and chuckled …

Oh Nick! You startled me, I never knew you were the one…

What of Andy? have you caught the beast? I asked in a rush

We were instructed to …. he stopped when the door to the house flung opened and three more officers walked out , they were all wearing sad faces

Where is Andy? I asked no one in particular

Nick! One of them called in surprise, what are you doing here?

Where the hell is Andy? I repeated and he sighed

we searched the whole house but we didn’t find him

What do you mean? What are you trying to say? I yelled and he moved closer to me

I think Andy escaped ………

What! It can’t be , it can’t be. I mumbled and beat my chest in anger …

he tried to hold me but I pushed him away and rushed into the house…..

Andy come out now! I screamed at the top of my voice but as expected, there was no response..

I looked around the house , the television was switched on, the drink on the table was still cold and the smell of smoke still filled the whole room….

I bit my lips as the realisation hit me…. Andy was here not too long ago , he escaped because he knows he is wanted criminal….

D--n !Dad really made a mistake… why didn’t he inform us before going to the police?…..

I felt a hand tapped at my shoulders gently and I turned back to see Dave…

Let us go Nick. he said softly but I shook my head

I am scared, I am really Scared right now. I said with a trembling voice

You don’t need to be , I know the devil would be caught soon. he assured ……..

Feeling nervous , I sat down quietly in the hospital waiting room…

It has been more than an hour and the doctor was still not out ….

But why! Is Candy’s condition so critical? I wondered

Oh God! Please don’t take Candy away from me. I prayed silently..

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned sideways to see Loretta beside me….

I have been calling you but You were too engrossed in your thoughts to hear me. She said softly

I am sorry. I apologised while running my hands through my hair….

She sighed deeply

Don’t think too much, Candy with be fine. She assured and I smiled softly

I know , but don’t…. I stopped when I saw the doctor along with three nurses walking towards our direction…

I stood up in a huff and rushed towards him

Doctor! how is she? I asked and he smiled weakly

The surgery was successful, she was lucky the bullet did not hit her vital part. he said and I sighed in relief

but she is still unconscious at the moment. he added

Is it so serious, for how long will she remain sleeping? I asked

It won’t be long dear, she would be up before you know it . he assured and I nodded

Can I go see her? I asked

Sure you can , but remember be quiet……..

I walk through the long passage to the ICU ward.

I took a took breathe before pushing the door opened..

I fixed a steady gaze at Candy as I walked into the room, she looked so white and pale…..

I moved closer to her and sat on the bed, her eyes were closed , lips cracked but she still looked so beautiful…

Oh Candy! I am so sorry for not being there for you , sorry for not being a good boy friend….

I caressed her face and pecked her lightly on her lips…..

My phone suddenly rang, checking the caller , it was Nick

I received it

hi bro! how did it go? I asked

The bastard escaped. he answered and clutched my fists tightly to control my anger

But how, Did he hurt anyone?

No!we didn’t see even see him, he left before we got here. he explained

F--k! this is so bad…

You don’t need to worry, the cops are on it. he assured and I sighed softly

How is Candy? Will she be alright? he asked worriedly

Yes she will. I replied and he exhaled deeply…..

I am a little bit relieved, see you soon. he said and ended the call……

This is so f-----g frustrating! Why is it so hard for the idiot to get caught?

The door creaked opened and Loretta and Tiffany walked in….

Oh my gawd! Loretta exclaimed and rushed to the bed

Candy! She called softly as he brushed her hair back ………….

I watched them have girly moment with Candy and smiled….

I just wish for everything to be okay but with Andy out there , I bet that will be impossible………….

I bit my lips in anger as I scrolled through my phone, The whole media was all talking about me………

What the f--k! I am now a run away murderer….

But how did they get to know about it! Who the hell told them about it!

I looked around the small room I was staying in and sighed , I guess I just have to manage it …..

If I had not being fast enough, i would have been in prison or perhaps a dead man by now….

The door suddenly flung opened and without looking, I knew it was Bosco . he was my ally and I was hiding at his cottage house….

Andy! he called and I looked at him, he was holding a tray ….

he placed the tray in front of me and I stared at the food in disgust…

What is this? I asked still staring at the food and he scoffed

And what does it look like to you? he retorted i pushed the tray away from me, I can’t eat this, I don’t have appetite for trashy foods

he sighed

So what do you intend on doing? You are now a wanted man

Are you mocking me? I glared at him and he shook his head

I am just trying to ask the next step you will take , or do you want to remain a fugitive forever? he asked

hell no! I blurted out

So what plans to you have? he asked and I smiled

I plan on travelling out of this d--n country , I will do that with a fake identity . I said with dreamy eyes and he chuckled

And how will you do that, you don’t even have enough money…..

I smirked evilly

Opening my eyes, I looked around the room slowly and smiled when I saw Chase seated beside me with his head rested on the bed …..

But where is this place? I wondered

I tried to sit up but fell back to the bed

Aarrrgh! I groaned in pain, the pain in my lower stomach was so unbearable…..

I lifted my right hand slowly from the bed and touched my stomach , it was wrapped around with a bandage….

What happened to me? Why am I.. I stopped when the memory of what happened flashed on…….

I was shot! Two men came out of no where and shot at me, but why! I wondered…….

I shifted my gaze to Chase, he was sleeping peacefully

Chase! I called softly and he stirred a little in his sleep..

I smiled

I guess he must be really tired………::
