A Glimpse Of Fire b

Coming out of a turn, her eyes half-lidded and her hair floating majestically as if she was a mystical being, Laura was suddenly inches away from Levi’s bare chest.
However, she wasn’t surprised by this. Instead, she allowed her eyes to close and her arms to drop limply by sides as Levi slipped his free arm around her waist, pulling her against him so their bodies were now touching, the fire lance hanging loosely in his other hand. Slowly, as the flames dimmed around them, their Spell Binding Circles coming together as one, they leaned forward and pressed their foreheads together tenderly, both of them smiling contently from the touch. It was almost as if they were made just for each other.

Kate was unable to tear her eyes away. They were……beautiful together. She had no idea.

As Levi watched her intently, Laura sighed and tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, her nose brushing against Levi’s and the slightly taller male’s smile turned into a grin. Then, they playfully pushed away from each others leaping back into fighting stances, their circles of flames flaring up as they face each other on the training field again.

And they were both still smiling.

“See”, Loki said against her ear agin, “That’s the true essence of the Flame. For you to truly dance with the flames, you must open yourself to the fire’s emotion. Just like your two friends are doing”.

“They are amazing”, Kate found herself whispering with a genuine sense of awe, somewhat mesmerized as Laura lifted her hands in Tai Chi type movement and Levi fearlessly manoeuvred his fire Lance into a battling stance.

“Do you think you can learn to trust yourself?” Loki asked “To trust me?”

Kate abruptly turned to face Loki, only to realize that her face was mere inches away from his. She drew in a sharp intake of air and her eyes widen in surprise, but she did not try to move. She found herself gazing into Loki’s deep and wise eyes, a sense of familiarity washing over her.

“I…….I do trust you”, Kate said softly, unable to take her eyes away from Levi’s.

Tilting his head to the side, Loki smiled warmly down at her, “Then show me”.

Show him? How?

“Let’s continue your training Ok?” Loki said as he moved to take Kate’s hand in his, once again making her jumped slightly at how warm and familiar it was. He then tugged at their joined hands, pulling Kate silently to her feet before leading her away, leaving Levi and Laura to continue their…….training.

“Tomorrow we’ll continue with more training”, Loki started to speak normally now that the two of them are away out of hearing range of the traning field

“And I’m going to teach you how to Fire Dance!”

“F- fire Dance?”
