A Glimpse Of Fire b

Finally, Loki pulled her outside into the cooling evening air and gradually darkening night sky. He still had a firm grip on her hand as he guided her toward a notoriously ‘Secret’ training field behind the temple. It was notorious secret because it was quite and secluded, hidden from sight of both the Fire Temple and Fire Palace, and everyone in the Temple knew where it was.

Though Loki wasn’t a part of the Fire Temple, it didn’t surprise Kate that he knew of it. From what Kate had discovered from being in his company was that Loki was a wanderer. He probably knew many secret and hidden locations on Fire Island.

As they drw closer, Loki paused for a moment and placed a finger to his lips in a hushing manner.

Crouching low, Loki tugged on her wrist again, making Kate copy his movements, her own body crouching low as her confusion and curiosty increasing greatly.
She was then guided toward a small group of thick bushes that were a few feet away from the training field kneeling on the ground next Loki, Kate reluctantly peeked over to the bushes, not wishing to get involved in the low act of spying, but her curiousity was refusing her to do otherwise.

But what she saw only made her blink. Standing out in the training field, one opposite’s end where her two friends, Laura and Levi.

Instead of wearing her traditional Fire Priestess garbs, Laura now wore her training clothes that consisted of a pair of black pants that wern’t too baggy, no too tight, and black boots.

That were smiliar to the ones Gurads wear. She also had a long white robe with gold trimming that sleeveless buttoned in three places. Her hair remained loose, though, the darken strands swaying mystically in the light breeze.

A smile adorned her lips as she moved into a position, seemingly ready to cast a spell.

With one hand against her chest, Laura lifted the other before her in an elegant and welcoming manner, her long fingers relaxed and gentle. A serene smile appeared on her lips as her eyes drifted close.

“Essence of the Flame-Fire Opal!”
Heated wind swirled around her in an ancient dance, golden flames circling around her in a protective barrier, keeping her warm….keeping her safe.

Kate swallowed thickly. It was always awe-inspiring watching Laura call upon her Spell Binding Circle. She looked so peaceful. She was so at ease with the licking flames, even lowering her hands to slide her fingers through the magical fires surrounding her.

Standing on the other end of the field was Levi, who was already holding a Lance made purely of Fire in depensive formation. The weapon was from a Spell Fire Guards could use to physical command Fire to their hand, moulding it into a form of powerful weapon.

Not many Fire Guards could call upon a Fire Lance.

And Levi held the Lance effortlessly, without fear even though the flames were curling around his hands, crackling and sizzling fearsomely.

Then, Levi flicked the lance in his hand twriling it with great skill so it now resided behind him, his body poised and open for attack. With his free hand, he lifted it to a few inches away from his face, his index finger closest to him.

He then curled his fingers into his palm only his index and middle finger staying straight. He looked ready to cast a spell.

“The Awakening Flame- Fire Spiral!”
Flame erupted from around his feet, circling him with roaring power. Then, a mere more later, Levi sprung foward, bringing his lance out to his side as he advanced upon Luara, the black-haired Priestess waiting for him.

They were training. It wasn’t unusual for Laura and Levi to train together and Kate had witnessed many a training session between the two. They were amazing but why did Loki bring her here?

“Watch them”, Loki whispered into her ear, his body undeniably close to her. “Watch them dance. They’re having fun, they’re enjoying themselves. And ultimately they’re filrting with each other”.

Filrting?

Kate found that she not look away. The way Laura and Levi moved together, their flames melding together, the way they both trusted each other and their ability over the flames. They were so comfortable with each other.
