Beginning of the Fire Lesson c
She had never felt so warm before.

“You okay there?” Loki asked with a sense of uncertainty in his voice.

Kate slowly opened her eyes, turning her head to look up at the blue-haired man. Despite how comfortable she was feeling she gave Loki a small smile and removed herself shakily from his grip. “Yeah”.

“That was great!” Loki suddenly congratulated her smiling that large and carefree grin of his “I knew you could do it”.

The significance of what just happened suddenly dawned upon Kate she not only discovered her unique incantation of her Spell Binding Circle, but she met her Fire Beast! After a Spell Binding Circle, calling upon a fine a Fire Beast could do such a thing and Kate only knew of two people who could, Laura and her cousin, Kira.

But she……

She almost couldn’t believe it. She actually had a Fire Beast as well!

“I….”
“Yeah, you’ve discovered your Fire Beast”, Loki said, his smile growing a little more at the obvious surprise and happiness in Kate’s gaze “Congratulations”.

Kate blushed lightly and couldn’t help smiling. “T-thank you”.

“You still have a bit more traning to go through before you can call upon your Fire Beast with your flames, though”, Loki went on to say, moving to wrap a friendly arm around Kate’s shoulders. “But you’re a quick learner; you’ll get the hang of it really quick”.

Kate knew what Loki was saying was true, but she didn’t really mind traning with him again. No one had been able to help her like Loki had, so she was rather surprised by how eager she was to learn more from this odd, but friendly man. “Well it’s because I have you as a teacher”.

“Aw, that’s so nice!” Loki laughed.

Kate went to take a step forward, when a dizzy spell made her world aray out for a moment and when she managed to gather her bearings, she found herself leaning heavily against Loki’s chest, standing in the older male’s arms again.
And she blushed at her clumsiness. “Ah, sorry!”

“It’s alright”. Loki chuckled softly, a sense of understanding shimmering in his eyes as he surprisingly tightened his arms around her. “You’re tried, discovering both your Spell Binding Circle and Fire Beast in the same traning session was very draining for you. Why don’t you get some rest?”

For whatever reason, Kate felt her eyes suddenly grow heavy and without much thought, she rested her head against Loki’s chest, her world turning into bissful darkness.
