We walked home in silence. I wish I could swallow back my apology. As expected, Hanatu wasn’t waiting for me; she was engrossed in Cadbury breakfast television. Illegal connecting our previously disconnected NEPA wire was paying its dividends, power supply had slightly increased.

Oge entered Hanatu’s room and they immediately shut the door. I went back to my room and tried to sleep, but the fact was Oge was so close by was messing up with my senses.

I heard her giggle with Hanatu and it broke my heart some more. She used to giggle like that when I try to sing love songs to her.

Truthfully, I didn’t believe she loved me, but I thought she was crazy about me. I could swear that if anybody was going to break up with the other, it would have been me. I didn’t see it coming at all. Money was probably the reason.

Hanatu wanted to be a Doctor; she wanted to find the cure for Sickle cell, Ori-ata plant held the secret of the cure, she told me more than a million times. By God, I was going to make her be a doctor, as regards the cure for the disease, na her and her brain go decide that one.

Oge laughed loud again and I couldn’t take it any longer, I went into Hanatu’s room.

“We are gisting as ladies, you are disturbing,” Hanatu faked a frown.

Oge wasn’t looking at me, she was helping Hana with her hair, gosh! She looked so beautiful.

“Hanatu, I want to go out. What should I get for you when coming back?”

“Don’t worry; I will be going with Auntie Oge to her house. Just take care of you,” Hanatu said.

‘Stay out of trouble!” Oge added with a frown.

I stuck out my tongue at her and walked away.

On my way to the car park to see my guys, I passed by Bros Emma’s car. I decided that my actions were worth it.

I made up my mind to let the Oge drama end.

She was free to be with whoever she wanted to.
Ene had been telling me to come visit her in her house, her parents were not around and her elder sister was never around.
