Must Read: Loss Of Dignity

“Woah! You look stunning.” Emeka said
complimenting Sandra.

“Thank you very much. And you don’t look bad
either.” Sandra replied, with a smile.
“So, How did you know i was the one?” Emeka
enquired.
“Actually, I recognised your voice when you told
that guy your name.” Sandra said referring to
the computer operator.
“Okkkay. So what are you doing here?” He
inquired.
“I also came to check my name in the
admission list.” Sandra replied.
“Hmmm, I never knew you applied for UNN.”
Emeka said.
“Well, I did. I just didn’t said anything. Nobody
even knew i enrolled for Jamb.” She explained.
“Alright, Have you seen your name in the list?”
Emeka asked.
“Yes, But i was given Bio-Chemistry instead of
Medicine which i applied for.” She lamented.
“It’s good all the same, Better than none.”
Emeka said.

“What about you?” Sandra enquired.
“Law!” Emeka replied bluntly.
“Hmmm, Big boyyy!! This must be Chinedu
right?” Sandra said facing him.
“Yes, I’m Chinedu.” He replied as they shook
hands.
“You guys would be living together, i guess.”
She said.
“Most definately!” Chinedu replied and Emeka
also nodded his head in approval.
They gisted for a while before Sandra requested
for Emeka’s phone number and then they
departed to different directions. Chinedu and
Emeka were treking back home as they saw a
lady with a mighty voluptuous a’rse who was
about to climb a bike.
“Oboy yeee.. See Yansh!!!” Chinedu screamed
pointing to the lady.
“Guy, No spoil me abeg! I be saint.” Emeka
blurted.
“No be only scent you be, na smell. Incase you
nor know, i see the condom wey you take fvck
my neighbours for lodge.” Chinedu mocked him
stylishly.

“No be me fvck them oo, na them fvck me.”
Emeka retorted, stylishly.
“Make i hear!! But you try sha, how you take
fvck the ugly one for inside, shey you dey look
her face when you dey do the thing?” Chinedu
asked in a coded way.
“Nna, forget that thing jor. She ugly no mean

Emeka lamented.
“Mehn, those girls cheap no be small. Na me

person for five star lodge.” Chinedu boasted.
“Baddooo!! So you sef dey knack dem.” Emeka
said.

“You dey mad oo, pesin carry honey come give
you, shey you go reject am? I yansh craze
commot from Chinyere head sotey she forget
my name come dey call me broda for bed.”
Chinedu bragged again while they both
laughed.

“What about Lizzy naw?” Emeka enquired.
“That one, she too be dey give me greenlight
but her ugliness no let me enter her jerusalem
oo, though i dey always press her twins like
pillow sha.” Chinedu confessed.
“Chai, na hell-fire you dey go o!” Emeka said.
“You dey judge me, no george me make i no
dodge you oo!” Chinedu said with his official
grammosko.
“Mumu! That reminds me. When last did you
heard from the both of them?” Emeka
enquired.
“Pheew!! Dem don waka tay tay!” Chinedu said
shaking his head.
“What do you mean by that?” Emeka asked,
confused.
Chinedu began to narrate everything as it all
went down, Both Lizzy and Chinyere were pre-
degree student of the school. Since the
beginning of their programme one could
actually count the days they went to class.
They prefered partying and sleeping around
instead of reading towards their qualifying
exams. Because pre-degree students were
studying with secondary school syllabus they
felt the exams was going to be easy for them to
write and pass, but they were wrong. On the
day of the exam everything looked strange to
them as they could barely write anything.
When the result came out the both of them
failed and they were rusticated from the school,
since they were not admitted into the university
fully. They felt remorse and wept for weeks,
now they had to go back home after they had
already told the entire village that they were in
the university.
Lizzy’s parents were poor farmers in the village,
while Chinyere mother was a garri seller, her
father had died since when she was much
younger. The both of their parents struggled so
hard to put them in school and they let the
effort go down the drain because of their
preposterous attitude.
They both decided not to go back home as a
result of shame but when Chinyere could not
hide it any longer she left leaving her friend
behind. Life was not easy for Lizzy afterwards so
she called her parents one day and informed
them that she was coming back home, she also
left.
Emeka learnt some touching lessons from their
story which strengthed his decision to quit
living a promiscuous lifestyle. University of
Nigeria, Nsukka was going to begin a new
session in two weeks time and the only thing on
his mind was to do his clearance and begin his
journey into a blissful future, or so he thought.
