On my way home, people were asking me what happened to my face, i only smiled at them i went my way.

I got home, took my bath, since the was no foodsuff at home, i had to go to mama emeka ‘ restaurant to take my breakfast,after which i went to the company.

I got to the company by 9:35 am. I went in everybody was surprise to see the burnt on my face.

Aminat was there on her table as well, i went over and greeted her as well. She shouted when she saw my face.
“what happened to your face?” she asked standing up from her seat.
“na long tori o” i told her all that happened. She concluded that joe was a devil.

As i was discussing with aminat, josephine came in looking Sekxy as ever. With a smile on her lips. A smile that turned into a frown when she saw my face.

She exchanged pleasantries with aminat.
“bluestarry what happened” she said in surprise.
“na so i see the guy o” aminat said folding her hands across her br.ea.st “tell me what happened” she begged. “an accident?”
“no na that guy wey you come see with me, na him pour me hot coffee”
“josephine was there?” aminat asked looking at me suspiciously.
“yes, i went to see my sister but end up in the restaurant” josephine said taking her seat.

I explained everything to josephine.
” as you leave na, i go tease say why im for eye na im the guy come order for hot coffee pour me” . I said touching my face. They laughed.
“next time you go …….” aminat didnt finish the question when our oga, Mrs Sandra stormed into the building angrily.

Josephine ran back to her table while aminat buried her head in the work loaded on her table. I simply sat were i was, no need to fear coz i knew i was done there. I turned my burnt face to the left. I didnt want her to see it.

The girls greeted her but i didnt utter any sounds. They stared at me in surprise. Me that was the 1st person that usually greet her .

Hey am not a human wrapper i just like my job.
“youngman what are you still doing in my company. Before i come out i dont want to see you here again” mrs sandra shouted on top of her voice.
“and you girls i want to see the document immediately” she shouted at them too.
“what are you still doing there? Aminat get me the security man”

Aminat and josephine were so surprised at the short drama acted in the office, they only stared me for explanation.

Mrs sandra was probably thinking that ill fall on my knees and beg her. If that was what on her mind, she was siting on a loonnnng think.
“madam dont stress yourself i was about doing so when you came in. So……”
“what ever just know that you are sacked and if i come out in the next five minute and see you here, i wont hesitate to throw you behind bars” she said calmly storming into her office.

Immediately she left, the girls were all over me for an explanation. I simply told them ill explain later.

What wrong with this woman self? Abi she posses? Na me beg am for toto? I asked myself as i went into my office angrily.

I carried my laptop , my books, my pictures and my files. I dont take my laptop home coz the fear of the thief, is the beginning of wisdom.

After making sure i picked all that belonged to me, i took one more glance at my office, tears were in my eyes. Common guys i just loosed a job. A good one at that. We all know the state of unemployment in nigeria.

The tears almost ran down my face, i consoled my self with the fact that when one door closes, another opens.

With all my properties outside, i locked the door. I wanted to go give mrs sandra the key, but as i turned to go, my manager and josephine stood there staring at me.

I ignored them. I went over to mrs sandra’s office. I didnt knock i just barged in.
“dont you knock oh we now mate?” she yelled at me. I simply turned my affected face the othes side. Didnt want her to see it, reasons well known by me.
” What are you still doing here? Etim where are the security” she yelled yet again.
“hey lady i came here to return the office key” i said coldly throwing the keys at her. She was shocked at my action. The manager, etim barged in. He saw my face before i could turn.
“blue….. jeeez what happened to your face” he asked in surprise.
” get me the secu………” mrs sandra said standing. She wanted to call the security but she saw the burnt.

She was shocked as she fall back to her chair.
“what ha happ…”
“all thanks to you” i said. I brushed past the manager aminat and josephine, went out of the office. I took my properties and headed out of the company.

My heart was heavy cause i just lost a job.
