Tolu an intelligent girl and an extrovet. She was so social and could make anyone switch to a happy mode with her funny but lovely gimmicks.


I rarely do talk to her and never knew i would go intimate with her.

That week had started tumultuously for me.


Different cult groups had approached me to belong and i told them plainly

While in the library i started crying. I called my parents but neither of them picked up. The feeling of being alone erupted. I felt separated and outcast.


I couldn’t concentrate reading as vengeance so i packed up and headed out.


My books littered all over the entrance as i realized i had collided with someone. I never cared looking up as i kept staring at the printed handout of BASIC that was struggling not to follow the direction of the wind.


Still standing a slim figure bent down and helped me in packing the books. Her hair and *ikebe*(i shouldn’t have observed that, ryt?) was al i could see.

She finally stood up and placed the books on my hands. I was speechless as Tolu gave me a quick hug and whispered;
“Vengeance is of the lord”.


I found myself laughing as i realised the babe saw when that dude lightened my face.


We both kept laughing before i begged her to stop laughing.

Her face was the perfect face, beautiful. She looks like an African- American model, tall, slim and full at the front and back. but i later found out she came from one of those villages in Ibadan.


“i am ……”, “miracle”,she completed the sentence as she accepted my handshake.



We both smiled sheepishly as i couldn’t stop being amazed at her charisma.

“tolu, am sorry for bumping into you”.


“how do you know my name”, she replied with feign surprise.

“i should be asking that”, i replied. I just couldn’t stop smiling sheepishly.


All this while our hands were still locked in handshake and i never knew she was with her friend. Lols.

Her friends later called on her as we reluctantly separated and bide farewell.

I instantly knew i would love to see her again cos i fancied her
and that night i did
