'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 80 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 19 September 2017

Amar and Divya arrive together in court.
A throng of reporters rushes towards them asking questions about the lawsuit Amar filed against Divya.Amar walks ahead then he turns around and sees Divya has been surrounded by reporters.

He goes to her andtells the reporters that she is pregnant and they need to show some respect.
He takes Divya away.
One of the reporters tells his colleagues that Amar is strange as he filed a case against his wife yet he still cares about her.

Inside the courtroom, Amar's lawyer informs Amar and Divya that they will have to sit in separate areas of the court.
The judge instructs them to stand in the witness boxes.
Amar and Divya stand in the two boxes and face each other.

Divya's lawyer asks Amar why he wants her to terminate the pregnancy.
Amar says the pregnancy poses a threat to her life.
The lawyer says only a mother has the right to decide.
Amar says the doctor told them that if Divya goes through with the pregnancy, she would not survive.

He says the baby was their dream but he cannot let his wife commit suicide.
His lawyer tells the judge that Divya is committing suicide by keeping the baby.
Divya's lawyer objects.
Amar's lawyer asks Divya why she doesn't want to terminate the pregnancy.

Divya says she wants to see her husband and family happy and it is also a crime to take the baby's life.
The lawyer asks her if she's fully aware that carrying the baby to term poses a threat to her life.
Divya clutches her stomach in pain and falls down.

Amar rushes to her and carries her.
His lawyer says Divya is only pretending.
Amar says Divya would never do that.
The lawyer asks why he bothered to file a case when he's bent on losing.
Amar begs that the case is adjourned.
The judge fixes a future date for the hearing.

Amar brings Divya home and tucks her in bed.
She tells him she's sorry because a good wife always wants her husband to win even if it means she loses;all she wanted was for him to be happy but if he doesn't lose the case, he would never truly be happy.
Amar says he would lose, no matter what verdict is.

Next day, Divya picks up the newspaper and sees a story about her and Amar's court case.
Amar and Divya go out and their car is surrounded by reporters again.
Bharat is at home, fielding calls from reporters who want to ask questions about Divya and Amar.

Aditi enters the room and defends Divya.
Bharat gets upset as he's on Amar's side.
He shouts at her then he apologises.
He says Divya has to understand that some people can't live without her.
Aditi hugs him.

Amar is about to leave the office.
He gets a phone call.
The message he receives makes him drop his briefcase in shock.
Gauri comes to see a Guru about protecting Divya's baby.
He gives her a substance to put in Divya's milk.
Karuna asks Aditi for Bharat.

Aditi says she hasn't heard from him but she would call him.
She calls his office and was informed that he left 2 hours earlier.
Bharat comes to what looks like an abandoned building.

He stands still, surveying the building.
Someone taps him on the shoulder and gestures for him to follow.
The man takes him to a room and tells him to wait.
Someone grabs Bharat's wrist and he's shocked to see who it is.

Amar sees Gauri taking milk to Divya.
Gauri pours some of the powder the Guru gave her into the glass of milk and offers it to Divya.
As Divya takes the glass, Amar hits it out of her hand.
He picks up the powder wrap powderand asks Gauri what she put in Divya's milk.

Gauri tells him she got it from a priest and it's for Divya and her baby to survive.
She leaves the room and Divya explains to Amaka that Gauri helps her when she is sick and she has a pure heart.
She says Gauri hasn't done anything wrong other than to mistake him for Shivam and fall in love with him.

She asks if he really needs to shout at her so much.
Bharat is back in his car.
Aditi calls and he says he was caught up in the office.
Aditi says she called and they told him he already left.
Karuna takes the phone and suggests to Bharat that they all go out to dinner later.

Bharat says it's a good idea.
Bharat, Aditi, Karuna and Bharat arrive at a restaurant.
Bharat is lost in his thoughts as he thinks of the person who grabbed his hand earlier.
The reporters come to the table to ask about Amar and Divya.

Bharat says he's not answering.
Karuna gives a lady at a table a signal and the leady approaches their table with her microphone.
She asks Aditi about her relationship with Karan and if she loved him.
Some people at a table nearby begin to gossip about Aditi and Bharat.

Aditi is crying.
Bharat tells the lady to leave and he orders the cameraman to stop recording.
Gauri is in her room crying.
Amar walks in.
She apologises to himandtakes the blame for everything that has gone wrong.
She asks why she doesn't just die.
Amar has tears in his eyes.

He apologises to her and says she took care of Divya but he didn't know and he thought she had ulterior motives.
He begs for her forgiveness.
She begs him to stop as she is not one for him to apologise to.
Amar is watching the news on TV.
The story about him and Divya's court case is brought up.

Divya comes to meet him.
Aniket complains that the media is carrying fake news.
He suggests Divya and Amar show the world that they are truly in love by going on a TV show that the family has been invited to.
Amar and Divya arrive at the TV studio for the interview.

The host of the show mentions the court case and she asks them for the story behind the case
Divya says she's just a normal woman and she loves her husband more than anything else.
She has tears in her eyes.
She says her husband loves her very much and he is prepared to sacrifice the life of his child that he also loves but she wants to bring the child into the world as a gift for him and also the child wants to be born so she is prepared to sacrifice her own life for it.

People are watching the interview all over the city and they are overcome with emotions.
Divya tells Amar that their wish for a baby was also the same in their past life and she wouldn't let fate win a second time.

The host tells her that the experts believe that it is entirely up to the woman if she wants to keep the baby but if the baby is a threat to her life then Divya needs to abort it.
Divya says it is her choice to keep the baby.
