'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 79 Recap - Aired: Monday 18 September 2017

The family is at the temple.
Aditi helps an old woman to get settled.
Karuna and her friends are watching.
Her friends tell her that Aditi is beautiful and well cultured.
Karuna tells them that looks can be deceptive as Aditi has been married before and there is nothing to show that she wouldn't one day leave Bharat as well.
Her friends agree with her.

Aditi overhears them and starts crying.
The old woman helps her dry her tears.

Divya is at home knitting a pair of socks for her baby and talking to the baby.

Amar arrives home.
He enters the room and hears her telling the baby to go to sleep.
He is confused.
She sees him and hides the socks.

He asks her who she is talking to.
Divya shows him the doll that Gauri have her and tells him that she was talking to the doll.
Amar kisses the doll then he gets gives Divya a hug and he feels her belly.
He stands up and tells her to be strong as he knows she's missing her baby.
He tells her to always remember she's the most important person to him.
When he leaves the room, she's crying.

At night, Divya wakes up when she feels her baby kicking.
She almost wakes Amar in her excitement but she leaves the room and goes to meet Gauri.
She takes Gauri's hand and places it on her stomach.
Gauri is excited for her.
Divya says she can't wait for Amar to meet the baby because she knows all his worries will be over then.

Gauri suddenly wears a look of horror.
Divya slowly turns around.

Amar walks into the room holding the knitted socks.
He has tears in his eyes and a look of hurt and anger.
He asks her why she lied to him.
He grips her hand and lets go when he sees she is in pain.

He tells her he wanted the baby too but decided to let him go when he realised Divya was the most important thing.
He accuses her of being selfish.
Divya is also crying.

Amar drops the socks and leaves the room.
Divya runs after him.
She tells him she just wanted to give him the child.
He asks if he ever made her think the baby was more important than her.

Bharat and the rest of the family come downstairs.
Uma asks Amar what happened.
He tells her to ask Divya.
He tells them Divya has decided to kill herself and she is still carrying the baby.
Divya says she didn't mean to hurt him.
Amar tells her to terminate the pregnancy today.
Divya says she wants to have the baby and won't do as he has asked.
The rest of the family members try to convince her to get rid of the baby but Divya says she has to keep the baby because she would never be able to have another child.
She returns to her room.

Bharat and Aditi return to their room and hold one another as they cry.
Bharat tells Aditi that they can't be weak because they need to be strong for Divya.
Aditi says Divya was enduring all alone.
Bharat says he's worried because her condition is so critical.
He says he doesn't know why she's sacrificing her life for the baby.
Aditi says she understands that it will be impossible for a mother to kill her baby.

Amar enters the room and finds Divya sleeping.
He lifts her arm and places her to lie properly.
He realises she is unconscious.

At the hospital, Divya has the baby.
The baby is given to Amar.
He goes into the room to see Divya who is dead.
He screams and realises it was all in his imagination.

Divya adjusts herself on the bed.
Amar leaves the room and starts thinking about what to do.
He tells himself that he has to do something.

Next day, Amar goes to see another doctor.

He returns home to meet the family at the table.
Uma invites him to join them.
He says he's not hungry and walks away.

The doorbell rings and a man comes in with a letter for Divya.
Divya opens the letter and it's a legal case Amar has filed against her demanding that she terminates the pregnancy.
Bharat reads the letter and tells Aniket what it says.

Amar comes down and tells them that Divya is committing suicide and no one has a right to take his wife's life, not even his wife herself.
He tells her that she is his life and he would win the battle.

Uma asks what he's doing and if he wants to take Divya to court.
Aniket explains that Amar was forced to do it.
Bharat says he supports Amar.
Aditi tells Bharat that he cannot understand Divya's emotions as she will be unable to abort the baby that has become a part of her.
Chandra agrees with Aditi.
Gauri stands behind the women.
Amar says his world starts and ends with Divya and he won't let her commit suicide.
He leaves the room in tears.

Karuna stops Aditi on the corridor and reminds her that she had warned her that she would bring her bad luck to the house if she married Bharat.
She says Amar and Divya used to love each other but as a result of Aditi's bad luck, they are now against each other.
Aniket tells her to stop because it wasn't Aditi's fault that her marriage ended.
Karuna tells him to remember her words when Bharat becomes heartbroken.

Divya goes to see her own lawyer.
She takes Gauri and Aditi with her.
The lawyer says if the circumstances presented are true, then Divya has a strong case.

Divya returns home.
Amar says he doesn't want to lose her.
Divya suggests they put their heads together as a miracle is possible.
Amar says he can't rely on a miracle when it comes to her.
She tells him that he won't be able to win the case.
Amar says he wants to at least try his luck.
