'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 73 Recap - Aired: Friday 08 September 2017

Amar assures Divya that nothing happened that can separate them.

He says he would die before he lets anything come between them.
She stops him from talking.
Amar says he has to go to work as it's getting late.

Gauri and Karuna are walking along the corridor and bump into each other.
Karuna's book of scriptures falls out of her hand.
Gauri picks it up, kisses it and gives it back to Karuna who looks suspicious of her.
Gauri apologises and leaves.

Karuna tells Divya that when Gauri first came to the house, she couldn't walk but it seems she's now flying.
She says Divya needs to be careful so that no one starts to take control of Amar.
Divya tells her not to worry.

Divya gets a phone call and the news she gets shocks her to the point of tears.
Aditi thinks of how Karuna has been kicking against her up coming wedding to Bharat.
Her conscience begins to trouble her.
Gauri enters the room and sees her crying.

She tells Aditi not to worry as everything will be fine.
She tells her not to let go of true love.
Aditi thinks about it and says she's right.
Later on, Gauri is cooking in the kitchen.
Divya offers to help her.
Gauri tells her not to bother but Divya insists.
She says she knows nothing about Gauri and her family and village.

Amar returns home and sees them.
He tells Divya to leave the kitchen and go to rest.
He takes her away.
Gauri wonders why Divya was asking those questions.
Aditi peeps into Bharat's room and sees him struggling to iron his shirt and read his files at
the same time.

His phone rings and he leaves the iron on the shirt to go and answer it.
He remembers the shirt and runs back to look.
He sees Aditi has finished ironing it.
Bharat says he feels incomplete without her.
He asks if she will stay with him so he can always feel complete.

Aditi says she will stay with him and nothing will happen to him.
Amar tells Divya that her report should come in today.
He asks if the hospital called.
Divya says no.

He sees the sadness in her eyes and asks if anything is wrong.
She says she was thinking of Gauri in the village.
She asks if he has called her to find out how she is doing.
Amar says she should be fine.
Divya says Amar was like Shivam to her.

Amar says he doesn't want them to talk about it but to focus on themselves as he cares only about her and their baby.
The house is being decorated for the wedding.
Aniket tells Uma that they need more flowers.
Uma sends Divya to get the flowers from Gauri's room.

Divya gets to Gauri's room and accidentally spills the flowers.
She picks them up to put back in the basket.
She sees a photo sticking out from under the pillow.
She picks it to and sees it's a photo of Amar.
Gauri is in the garden.

She tells herself that there is no space for her in the house as it belongs to Amar and Divya so she needs to go far away.
As she gets close to the gate, Amar drives in and asks where she's going.
Gauri says she has to leave.

Amar says she can go but she should let him make arrangements.
Gauri tells him not to bother but to allow her just go.
Divya comes out to ask Gauri what she's doing outside when she is needed inside.
Amar says Gauri came to open the gate for him.
Divya looks upset.

She says it doesn't matter and Gauri needs to come inside.
Gauri hesitates then follows her.
Inside the house, Divya asks Gauri what can be used to mark rice grains for a wedding.
Gauri doesn't respond.

Divya asks if she didn't have a wedding ceremony.
Gauri doesn't respond.
Divya asks how long she was married for.
Uma calls Gauri and she runs off.
Aditi and Bharat enter Karuna's room.
Bharat tells her it's time for the ceremony and he needs her blessings.

He pleads with her.
She begs him not to force her to do something she doesn't want to as it is against her religion.
Bharat continues to plead with her.
She says she can't go against her principles but he will always have her blessings.

Bharat takes Aditi's hand and they leave.
The priest has arrived for the ceremony.
The priest says there are only 8 married ladies present and he needs a 9th one to be able to perform the ceremony.
Divya tells Gauri to join them in the ceremony since she's married.

Gauri hesitates.
Amar tries to hide his fear.
Divya brings Gauri to sit with them.
The priest tells them all to pray for their husbands.
Amar thinks over the lies he has told Divya about Gauri.

The priest announces that the married women have to write their husbands' names in a tray filled with Vermillion that is in front of them.
Amar panics again.
All the women except Gauri comply.
The priest tells Gauri to write her husband's name otherwise harm could come to him.
Gauri says she doesn't want any harm to come to him.

Divya watches as Gauri writes Amar's name.
Amar looks at Divya with fear written all over his face.
Divya stands up and asks Gauri if she's the same Gauri that Amar stayed in the village for.
Everyone is shocked.
Gauri is crying.

She nods.
Divya asks her if she didn't know Amar wasn't Shivam.
Gauri nods.
Divya says so she still went ahead to marry Amar?
Amar tries to talk to Divya but she puts up her hand to stop him.

Gauri admits she married Amar.
Karuna walks in and says she has been saying it all along.
Amar says it's true that Gauri was the girl he had to marry but it wasn't a real wedding.
Divya is crying.
Amar tells her that he loves only her and all he did was to protect Gauri.

Gauri tells her that it's true and Amar protected her; if not, she wouldn't be alive today.
Amar is also crying.
Divya leaves the room and Amar runs after her.
Divya locks herself in the room.
Amar bangs on the door begging her to open.
He tells her that Gauri means nothing to him and he only married her to protect her.
