'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 72 Recap - Aired: Thursday 07 September 2017

Karuna tells Aditi to disappear from Bharat's life completely.
Aditi leaves the room in tears.

Bharat sees her and follows her.
He meets her crying on the balcony.
She begs him to leave her alone.
He asks what his mother said.
She doesn't respond.
He asks why she doesn't believe he wants to marry her.
Aditi says they need his mother's blessings.
Bharat says she will have to accept Aditi as her daughter in law.
He assures her that everything would work out.
He gives her a kiss on the forehead and tells her that he loves her.

Gauri is in her room, thinking of Amar.
She tells herself that he doesn't believe to her so she has no right to think of him the way she does but she can't help it.

Amar is having a dream.

He enters the room and sees Divya packing her things.
He asks where she is going.
She starts crying and tells him the old Divya is gone.
She asks how he could betray her the way he did.
She tells him that she knows he got married to Gauri.

Amar wakes up with a start and tells himself that all he wanted was to help someone but now he cannot kick Gauri out of the house because she has nowhere to go.

He leaves the room and as he walks past Gauri's room, he sees her praying to God to help her get rid of the feelings she has for Amar.
She tries to burn her hand in the fire and Amar rushes in to stop her.
She tells him that she deserves to be punished.

Karuna is approaching.

Gauri asks why Amar doesn't throw her out.
He says he can't throw her out because there is nowhere for her to go.
He puts his hand on her shoulder to console her.

Karuna sees them.

Next day at the family prayer session, Divya gets dizzy and almost falls but Amar catches her and asks if she's okay.
She assures him that she is fine.

Divya tells Gauri to pass the prayer plate around.
When it's Karuna's turn to take the offering, she prays loudly for her son to take the right path.
This makes Aditi very uncomfortable and sad.

Amar enters the room and sees someone ironing his clothes.
He thinks it's Divya to he takes off his shirt and hugs her.
Turns out it is Gauri.
He jumps back in shock.

Divya enters the room and thanks Gauri for helping her iron his clothes.

Karuna is watching from the doorway.

When Gauri leaves the room, Amar berates Divya for letting Gauri enter their room.
Divya says Amar was the one who told her to stop doing chores so she needs Gauri to help her.

Amar leaves the room and Karuna enters.
She tells Divya not to ignore Amar's wishes and not to just accept a stranger like Gauri.
Divya asks what she's saying.
Karuna says she saw Amar and Gauri alone in a room last night and she thinks Gauri is just pretending in front of Divya so Divya needs to be careful.

Amar and Bharat are leaving the office.
Bharat complains about the situation he finds himself in with Karuna not wanting him to marry Aditi.
Amar assures him that it will be fine in the end.

Amar drives as they go home and he finds himself thinking about what Gauri said about having feelings for him.
He almost runs the car over a little boy playing his ball.
Bharat alerts him at the last minute and Amar is able to swerve the car in time.

Divya is with Gauri and thinking of the things Karuna said.
She tells Gauri that she would miss her when she goes away.
Gauri says she's not leaving.
Divya asks if she won't leave when her husband is found.
Gauri starts crying.
Divya begs her to stop crying.

Karuna sees Aditi and tells her that destiny follows us wherever we go.
She says Karan is Aditi's destiny and Bharat only pities her.
She says she doesn't want her destiny to interfere with Bharat's destiny and doesn't want her to ruin his life so she wants her to reconsider.

Bharat comes home from work.
Divya asks if he's hiding anything from her or there is something he forgot to tell her.
She asks where he was last night when she was sleeping.
Amar says he wants to tell her the truth.
Divya says she knows he was in Gauri's room last night.
Amar panics.
Divya laughs and tells him to tell her everything so she can be a supportive wife.

The family is at breakfast the next day.
Uma asks if they can have the wedding without Karuna's permission.
Bharat says he will have to make her come around.

Karuna walks in and asks what they are talking about.
Aniket tells her that they all love Aditi and they would love her support.
Karuna says it goes against her beliefs but Bharat is old enough to make his own decisions and it looks like he already made up his mind.

Bharat is unhappy.
She asks why he's sad.
She tells him to do as he pleases as she wants him to be happy.
Aditi is crying.
Karuna leaves the table.

Later on, Divya asks Amar if Karuna will eventually accept Bharat and Aditi's relationship.
Amar says he's sure she will eventually give in.

He brings out his folder and a note falls out of it.
Divya picks it up and sees what Gauri wrote, Good Morning.
She asks who wrote it
He says it was when he was in the village.
She asks if Gauri wrote it.
He gets very jittery and says he has to leave for work.
He rushes off.

Divya enters Gauri's room to see her hugging Amar's shirt.
Divya remembers the things Karuna said.
She tells herself that maybe Gauri is just missing her husband.
She hears her phone ringing so she leaves the room to answer it.

The call is from the doctor.
He tells her that the patient that was brought to the hospital, has a heart condition that needs to be treated urgently.

Chandra and Uma select jewelry for Aditi.
Aditi looks sad.
Chandra tells her not to be sad.
Aniket says they can not postpone the wedding any longer.
Aditi asks how she and Bharat can be happy without his mother's approval.

Amar sees his shirt ironed and placed for him in the room.
He asks Divya why she keeps stressing herself.
Divya said it was Gauri who did.
Amar goes quiet then he reminds her that he has said he doesn't want the girl touching his things.
He says he will get her medical results today.
Divya asks if there is something he is hiding that might come between the two of them.
