'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 71 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 06 September 2017

Amar is ready to go to work.
Aniket asks Bharat if he's not going as well.
Amar says Bharat has some things to sort out at home first and will be at work later.
He and Bharat exchange looks.
Divya asks what they are up to.
Amar says they can't keep anything from her.

Gauri brings water to Divya in her room and thanks her for everything she has done, then she asks if there is anything she can do for her.
Divya says she wants to make Amar's favourite dish for him but he would be angry if she goes into the kitchen.
Gauri says she will make rice pudding and sliced bread for Amar.
Divya asks how she knows his favourite dish.
Gauri says she overheard people talking about it in the house.

The family is gathered at the table for a meal.
Bharat tells himself that this would be a good time to execute his plan.
He reserves the seat next to him for Aditi but Karuna sits there instead.
He puts a note in her lap thinking she's Aditi.
He tries to take the note when he sees her but she takes it back from him and opens it.
She tells Divya to help her read it as she doesn't have her glasses on.
Divya looks at the note and realises it's from Bharat to Aditi telling her to meet him outside at 4 PM.
She tells Karuna that it's just a bill.
She gives the note to Aditi.

Gauri is in her room staring at a photo of Amar and thinking of him.
Divya comes to tell her that Amar would be coming home early so they need to start cooking.
She sees Amar's photo and asks why Gauri moved her photo away from Amar's side.
She picks up the photo and puts it next to hers saying nobody can separate them as they are destined to be together.
Gauri sadly leaves for the kitchen.
Divya thinks she might have reminded her of her own husband.

Amar comes to the hospital to ask for Divya's report.
The doctor tells him that they need to get another opinion from a specialist.
Amar panics.
The doctor tells him to be extra careful with Divya now as she doesn't need to be stressed out.
Amar decides she must never know the truth about Gauri.

Bharat is getting ready for his meet up with Aditi.
Divya comes into the room to tease him about it.
He begs her to tell Aditi not to forget about the meeting.

Divya goes to Aditi to tell her what Bharat said.

Divya sees food stain on Gauri's nose and points it out to her.
Gauri goes to the bathroom to wash her face.
Divya tells her she washed her Vermillion off.
She offers her some of her own Vermillion to use.

Amar comes in to see Gauri applying some of Divya's vermilion.
Gauri leaves the room.
Divya tries to go after her but Amar pulls her back.
He complains to Divya about Gauri entering their room and wearing Divya's clothes.
Divya tells him not to be upset as she won't allow Gauri into their room anymore.

Amar tells her it's 4 o clock and time for their date.
Divya goes to get Aditi.
As they are about to leave, Karuna enters the room and says she can't find her glasses so she wants Aditi to read her the scripture.

Divya says she will look for the glasses.
She goes out to search for the glasses.

She returns to the room and tells Karuna that she wants her to come and help her pick out gifts for Bharat and Aditi's wedding.
Karuna follows her.
Before leaving the room, Divya signals for Aditi to go and meet Bharat.

Amar is helping Bharat get ready for his date.
Bharat is nervous.
Amar tells him to relax as he knows he and Aditi are made for each other and he wants them to be happy.

Divya distracts Karuna with the sarees so that Aditi can run off.

Aditi meets Bharat and Amar downstairs.
Divya runs to them and tells them to hurry up.
As they get to the door, Karuna appears and says she knew what they were up to.
She says she's not an enemy but just wants them to respect the rules until they are married.
The rest of the family members come out.

Divya says she doesn't think it's right to impose too many sanctions on Aditi and Bharat as they are mature and responsible people.
Aniket and Amar beg Karuna to let them go.

Bharat's lawyer comes to the house and informs Bharat that Karan has signed the divorce papers so all that is left is for Aditi to sign.
Karuna is shocked.
Aditi signs and the lawyer leaves.

Karuna says she would never accept for Bharat to marry a woman who was married before.
Aditi starts crying.
Karuna says she would not approve of Aditi but it's Bharat's choice to go ahead with it or not.

Aditi is in a room crying.
Divya, Amar and Bharat console her and assure her that Karuna would come around.
Aditi says they can't get married if she doesn't approve.
They try to cheer her up.

Everyone is at the table for dinner.
Karuna tells Uma about a ceremony coming up at the temple.
Aditi tries to serve Karuna but Karuna puts up a hand to stop her.

Amar offers Karuna a dish that he really likes and tells her that Divya made it.
Divya says Gauri made it and she's surprised he didn't notice the difference.
She asks Gauri how she knew exactly how to make it the way Amar likes.

Amar clutches his knife so hard that he cuts himself.
Divya and Aniket rush to his aid.

Later on, in their bedroom, Amar is thinking about everything.
He sees Divya feeling dizzy and rushes to hold her.
Divya says she will stop taking her drugs.
Amar says she has to keep taking them and needs to rest more.
Divya says Gauri does all the chores.
Amar tells her to stop worrying about the chores and rest.
Divya says it's boring to lie in bed all day.
Amar makes her lie down all the same.
Divya starts complaining to the baby about her daddy.

Aditi comes to meet Karuna in her room to ask if she needs anything.
Karuna says she wants her to disappear from Bharat's life completely.
