'The Vow' Season 2 Episode 66 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 30 August 2017

Mohini comes to report Gauri to the village council.
The head of the village says it is wrong for Gauri to have still taken part in the fast for a stranger despite their warnings.
Mohini says the stranger and Gauri are both young and if anything happens, the honour of their village will be ruined.
The council members decide that they have to take a firmer stance.

Divya day-dreams that Amar returns.
She tells him that's she missed him so much.

Chandra snaps her fingers and Divya wakes up from her day dream.

The village council members march to Shivam's family home.
His parents come outside.
The council members tell his father, Pardan, that he went against them and allowed Gauri to fast so he has to tell Gauri the truth in front of all of them.
Pardan takes off his turban and pleads with them to spare his daughter and allow him to wait a few days before telling her.
He is about to set his turban on the floor when Amar takes it and places it back on his head.
Amar addresses the council.
He says he thought the village was like a family but he was wrong as he has seen that a respectable man like Mr Pardan has to beg in front of them.
He says he now knows why fate brought him to the village; for him to see the emotions of love the family has shown to protect Gauri and the type of love that Shivam and Gauri shared.
One of the elders asks if he's taking advantage of that love.
Amar says he's a married man and his wife gave him the permission to stay and help Gauri.
He says he would stay till Gauri recovers.
He dares them to go and tell Gauri the truth themselves if they don't care whether she lives or dies.
The village head tells his council members that they should consider Gauri's emotions and health and give her time because she is also their daughter.
He apologises to the family and the council members leave.
Mr. Pardan thanks Amar for what he has done.

In the morning, Divya takes tea to Karan in his room.
She meets him still sleeping with his hand on a photo.
She tries to take the photo and he jumps up.
She begs him to give her the photo.
He refuses.
She asks if it's a photo of his wife.
He doesn't respond.
He asks for his tea instead.
It is a photo of Aditi.

Gauri tells Amar that they have to go to the temple together for a ceremony.

Some men of the village are watching them and they are upset.

Pardan tells Gauri to go and help his wife in the kitchen and they would go to the temple later.

The men approach Amar and warn him to stay away from Gauri or he will regret it
They push him down and walk away.

Bharat is sleeping.
Aditi comes out of the bathroom and she's drying her hair.
She sees Karan looking at her through the mirror.
When she turns, he is gone.
She runs to the door to look.
Bharat wakes up and asks why she is standing by the door.
She says it's nothing.

Amar calls Divya to tell her that he will have to go to the temple with Gauri and the family.
Divya says it's a good thing.
He says he misses her a lot.
She says she misses him too and she is praying he returns home soon.

Amar and Shivam's family are at the temple.

Divya and the family also have a prayer ceremony at home.

The priest tells Gauri that she has vermillion on her forehead which means she will get married soon.
Amar is shocked.
Gauri is ecstatic.

Divya passes the prayer tray around.
She gets to Aditi and as Aditi reaches out her hand, Karan also puts out his hand.
Karan's hand touches Aditi's which makes her jerk and she hits the prayer tray.
The tray falls from Divya's hand on to the floor.

She runs to the room crying.
Chandra says something bad will happen because the tray fell.
Divya says nothing will happen.

The family comes out of the small temple and are about to proceed to the big temple for the ceremony but they can't find Gauri.
Everyone is worried.
Amar tells them not to worry as he will find her.
He tells them to proceed to the other temple and he will bring Gauri when he finds her.
They leave.

Divya goes to the room to ask Aditi why she's crying.
Aditi says she ruined the prayer session.
Divya says the tray slipped out of her hand.
Aditi says it was her own hand that slipped and not Divya's.
Divya asks what she means.
They see Karan standing in the doorway.
He enters and tells Aditi not to worry about what happened.

Bharat walks in and Karan tells him to calm Aditi down.
Karan and Divya leave the room.

Bharat asks Aditi why she's so upset when it was an accident.
Aditi says it wasn't an accident because she dropped the plate when Karan tried to touch her.
She says Karan is only putting on an act in front of everyone but he has come with an ulterior motive.

Gauri is inside the temple.
She wonders where the family members went.

She comes outside as Amar is driving off.
She runs after the car.
He sees her through the side mirror and stops.
He asks why she's didn't tell them she was going somewhere.
She says she went to get some weed as an offering for the Lord.
He tells her that everyone else has gone to the other temple.
She is happy that it's just the two of them left.

A storm starts brewing as Amar starts driving.
Some men are following them on a bike.
Gauri tells Amar to take a short cut.

Amar's car suddenly stops.
He gets down to check the engine.
The rain starts pouring.
Gauri sees the men approaching.
Amar picks up a sharp tool from the car and the men retreat.

Pardan and his family are in another temple, waiting for Amar and Gauri.

Gauri hurts her foot as she's walking through the bush.
Amar holds her hand and they walk together.
Amar's phone falls out of his pocket.

Pardan and his family are still waiting.
His son says he has been trying to call Amar but he is unable to reach him.
The family is invited into the temple.
Pardan tells his son to wait outside for Amar and Gauri.

Amar and Gauri walk till they see an empty hut.
They go inside and Amar lights a fire to keep them warm.

The family is having breakfast.
Aditi is serving.
Karan stands behind her and picks up a knife.
Bharat sees him.
Karan pretends he just wanted to slice a fruit with it.

Amar and Gauri come out of the hut where the passed the night.
Gauri is wearing Amar's jacket.
The villagers give them judgemental looks.

Bharat enters Karan's room.
Karan says he knew he was coming.
Bharat says it's time to stop the drama because Karan no longer has any right over Aditi and he would not be able to come between them.
Karan says he understands and knows his presence is causing problems so he would leave but he doesn't want Divya to know.
