'Twist of Fate' Season 1 Episode 258 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 30 August 2017

Nikhil is at home.
He hires a man to help him carry out his plan at Pragya's party.
He gives the man a file with details about Pragya.

His doorbell rings and he tells the man to hide.
He thinks it must be Tanu.

He answers the door and he's shocked to see Abhi's grandmother.
He invites her in.
She invites him to Pragya's birthday party happening later in the day.
She says they also planned a surprise for him and his girlfriend.
Nikhil says he will definitely be there.

The party has begun and guests are arriving.
Grandmother tells Rachna that Sarla won't be able to come because she has the flu.

Nikhil arrives.
He meets the man he hired outside and tells him he looks perfect.
He says the man needs to take flowers to Pragya so he made arrangements for them.
He calls some kids off the streets and tells them to help him take some flowers to the party.
He opens the boot of his car and gives them the flowers.

He tells his man that he will give him a signal to let him know when he's to strike.

Purab announces the entrance of Pragya and Abhi to the party.
Abhi and Pragya come down the stairs.
They look like the perfect couple.

Purab wishes Bulbul was there to see Abhi and Pragya happy together again.

The children all walk in and hand the flowers over to Pragya.

Abhi thinks his Grandmother must have sent the flowers.
Grandmother thinks Abhi sent the flowers.

Tanu wishes Pragya a happy birthday and gives her a present.
Pragya asks what it is.
Tanu says it's a book for her to learn to live alone when Abhi dumps her.
Pragya says she also has a gift for Tanu so she should be ready for fireworks.

Grandmother tells Abhi to go and give Pragya her gift.
Abhi is nervous.
She tells him to just do it.
Purab reminds him that Pragya is still his wife so he shouldn't be nervous.

Nikhil walks in holding flowers.
He congratulates Abhi on his wife's birthday and gives him the flowers.

Tanu sees Nikhil and takes him aside to ask what he's doing there.
He says he was invited to the party.
She warns that if his plan fails, she doesn't want to see him again.
Nikhil says he hired a guy to pretend he's Pragya's old boyfriend, the guy would prove that he's still in a relationship with Pragya and he would need Tanu to make Abhi believe the lie.
He gives her an envelope and says she will show it to Abhi later so that he is forced to throw Pragya out of the house.

Pragya admires the flowers.
She thinks Abhi sent them so she's happy.
Abhi stands behind her, nervous.

Purab and Grandmother are watching.
Tanu and Nikhil are also watching.

Abhi calls Pragya.
The children run in their middle and hit the flowers Pragya is holding.
The petals rain on Abhi and Pragya giving a more romantic atmosphere.

Abhi offers Pragya a rose and says when she came back into his life as villain lady, he knew she was the one for him and today he made up his mind to tell her how he feels about her.
He says her response will mark the beginning of their new life together and if she accepts, he would ..
Pragya's phone rings and interrupts Abhi's speech.
She tells him it's her mother.
She moves away to take the call as the signal is poor where she is.

Sarla wishes her a happy birthday and asks how the party is going.
Pragya says it's a lovely party and it is the best birthday she's had in her life.
Sarla is happy.
Pragya says she's wearing a dress Abhi got for her.
Sarla says Rachna sent her photos.
She and Janke pray for Pragya.
Sarla says she feels Pragya will get the best gift of her life today.
Janke tells Sarla not to start crying.

Pragya apologises to Abhi for leaving to take a call.
She tells him to continue what he was saying earlier.
As he is about to speak, Purab calls them to the stage.
Everyone cheers.
The lights dim as they get on stage.
Grandmother tells Purab that he did a good job and when the dance is over, Abhi would propose.

Nikhil calls his man on the phone and tells him it's time.
The man walks in.

Abhi and Pragya finish their dance.

Tanu asks Nikhil whom he hired to be Pragya's boyfriend.
Nikhil says he will make sure Pragya is defamed.

Grandmother sees them talking.
She calls Purab's attention to them and says they look happy and she hopes they are not making a new plan.

Purab goes closer to listen.

Nikhil tells Tanu that Pragya would spend her birthday in mourning.
Tanu sees Purab and tells Nikhil to stop talking.

She goes to Purab to ask what he's doing there.
He says he is looking at the AC.
She tells him not to eavesdrop and if he wants to know what she's planning to do to Pragya, he should just ask.
He asks what she's planning.
She says she's not in the mood to share.

A hired dancer pulls Pragya to the dance floor.
She dances with him.

Abhi comes downstairs.
He smiles as he watches them dance.

Nikhil sends his guy to go and dance with Pragya.

He gets on stage and starts dancing with Pragya.
The guy looks like a nerd with big glasses and a thick moustache.
Identical to Suresh.

Tanu goes to ask Abhi if he knows the person dancing with Pragya.
Abhi says he doesn't know him.
Tanu says she thinks he's Pragya's guest and it seems like they are close friends as they are dancing closely together.

Pragya is not comfortable with the way the guy is dancing with her.

Abhi tells Tanu that she only sees what she wants to see as there is nothing wrong with the way they are dancing.
Tanu tries to talk but Abhi tells her that he knows what she's trying to do and he doesn't want her to do it.
He walks away.

Nikhil tells Tanu that she needs to continue to plant the seed of doubt in Abhi's mind.

Abhi tells Akash that he did a good job ordering the flowers.
Akash says he didn't order them.
Abhi says Purab and his grandmother also didn't do it so who sent them?

He picks a card from the bouquet and it is addressed to 'My dear Pragya' and it is signed from Shampak.
Abhi is confused.
He says Pragya was happy to read the cards which means she knows the person who went then.

Tanu picks one of the cards and asks who the lover boy sending Pragya the cards is.
Abhi reminds her again not to say such things again.

Pragya walks off the stage.

Nikhil pushes a waiter and makes him spill his drinks on the fake boyfriend.
The fake boyfriend asks Pragya if she can help him clean his clothes.
She points him in the direction of the bathroom.
He tells her to lead him there.
She hesitates at first then she leads him to the bathroom.

Tanu tells Abhi to go and ask Pragya who the guy she was dancing with was.
Abhi says he doesn't have a problem with it so he wouldn't ask her.
She tells him that she had seen Pragya and the guy together a week ago and she asked Pragya about him but Pragya told her to mind her business, so she went to Nikhil to help her and he helped her get some photos.
She gives him some photos.
He throws them away and says Pragya would never do that.

She tells him to follow her.

Pragya takes the fake boyfriend into a room and tells him to use the bathroom.
As she tries to leave, he tells her to wait and help him clean his clothes.
She says no.
He puts his hand on her shoulder and tells her that she is a very caring person.

Abhi and Tanu enter the room but Pragya has her back to them.

The stranger tells Pragya to help him clean his shirt.
She picks it up to give to him.
She sees Abhi and Tanu.
Abhi is livid.
