'Twist of Fate' Season 1 Episode 257 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 29 August 2017

Abhi comes out of Tanu's room at the hospital.
He sees Sarla with his grandmother and Pragya.
He asks Sarla how he can look her in the eye as he knows he has made a big mistake and doesn't deserve her respect.
He begs her to forgive him or punish him.
Sarla says she can never hurt him and she knows she's so fortunate to have such a son-in-law.


Tanu is in her room.
She sees a man's shadow at the door and thinks it's Abhi.
She quickly hides the magazine she's reading then clutches her stomach and m0ans loudly.


Nikhil walks in and she stops the pretense.
He apologises to her for upsetting her during their last phone conversation.
She asks why he has come.
He says he wants to help her.
She says she can help herself just as she pretended to fall down the stairs.
He asks how she did it.
She says she remembered Abhi's Grandmother said she faked her fall down the stairs so she had to take the risk while also making sure the baby is safe.
He says he's very proud of her.
They start laughing.


Pragya enters the room and claps for them.
She says she can't believe how low they stooped.
She asks Tanu if she doesn't feel anything for the baby she's carrying.
Tanu and Nikhil find it all amusing.
Tanu says she's not Pragya and doesn't think with emotions as they only hinder a person's growth.
She tells Nikhil that he should have seen Pragya's face when she fell, it was as though it was Pragya's child that fell.
Nikhil says Pragya is Abhi's wife so it's also her child.
Tanu says she knows Pragya must have called Nikhil on the phone when it happened.
Nikhil makes fun of the things Pragya said when she called him.
Tanu says she will marry Abhi soon.
Pragya says she knows the Lord would not let them get away with what they are doing.
Tanu and Nikhil make fun of her.
Nikhil tells Pragya to take care of his sweetheart Tanu as she is carrying Abhi's child.


Tanu is brought back home.
Aunt Indu fusses over her and asks Robin to bring her some juice.
Grandmother, Pragya, Rachna Purab and Akash look on in anger.

Abhi is about to leave the room.
Tanu calls him back to apologise to him again, telling him she did it for the baby.
He coldly tells her to go and rest in her room.

She gets to the stairs and pretends to be in too much pain to climb up.
Abhi rushes to her aid.


Abhi takes soup to Tanu in bed and makes her drink it.


Nikhil is at home upset that he has no one to cook for him even though he has a girlfriend.
He gets a call from Tanu.
She says she managed to get to Abhi and he's been treating her like a princess, bringing her food and when she needs to use the bathroom, he waits outside for her.
She vows to make him throw Pragya out of the house.
Nikhil says she has to make Abhi fall in love with her for that to happen so she can do some acting to get him to fall for her.


Abhi enters Grandmother's room.
He meets Pragya crying on his grandmother's laps.
Pragya runs out of the room.

Abhi asks his grandmother what is wrong with Pragya.
Grandmother says she was crying.
He asks why.
She says it's because he's been toying with her emotions as she's in love with him and when she realised he and Tanu were going to reconcile, she became heartbroken.
Abhi gets excited.
He asks his grandmother what he should do.
She tells him to propose to Pragya as tomorrow is her birthday so he can propose to her with a gift and apologise.
Abhi says it might not work with Pragya.
Grandmother tells him to trust her.


He says 'What about Tanu?'
She asks if he loves Tanu.
Abhi says no and he's even upset with her.
Grandmother tells him not to worry about Tanu as she will take care of her and the baby.
She tells him to make his move with Pragya before someone else proposes to her.
Abhi says okay.
Grandmother says she will put a party together and make it seem like Abhi planned it.
Abhi calls her a genius and says he will get Fatso back and they will get remarried.
Grandmother tells him to go and make his move with Pragya now.


Abhi meets Pragya in the kitchen.
He asks what she's doing.
She says she's making sandwiches.
He tells her to teach him how to make it.
He stands behind her and holds on to her hand as she holds the bread and she shows him how.
Pragya smiles.
Abhi asks himself if he should propose now or later as she doesn't mind him being so close to her.

Rachna and Purab are watching them.
Rachna says they look so happy together and she prays nothing comes between them.
Purab says he wishes he had a camera to capture the moment.

Tanu is upstairs watching Rachna and Purab.
She wonders what they are talking about.

Robin is about to go to the kitchen.
Purab tells him not to go to the kitchen.
Robin says he needs to cook.
Rachna says she will order take away.
He asks if he shouldn't confirm from Pragya.
Purab says Pragya is in the kitchen with Abhi and they are making sandwiches.
Robin says he understands.


Tanu comes down to see for herself.
She sees Abhi and Pragya making the sandwiches happily.


Grandmother calls Sarla to tell her she's making plans to bring Abhi and Pragya together.
She assures her that Pragya wouldn't cry again and it would be Tanu who cries.


Rachna and Purab enter the room to tell Grandmother that she has to come and see.
She asks what it is.
Purab says they saw two people very much in love with each other.
Rachna says her kitchen has become a love nest.
Grandmother says Tanu would have to be out of the picture.
Rachna asks if she knows what's going on.
Grandmother says she was the one who sent Pragya to the kitchen and also sent Abhi there.

She says she plans to get Tanu out of the picture and tomorrow Abhi will propose to Pragya again.
She says Tanu claimed she used her trick to get Abhi to let her stay in the house so she will also use Tanu's trick to bring Abhi and Pragya together by appealing to Abhi's emotions.

Tanu is eavesdropping.

Grandmother says she can't wait for the day Abhi and Pragya have their own child.


Tanu returns to her room fuming.
Abhi and Pragya walk in.
Abhi presents a plate of sandwich to Tanu.
Pragya reminds her that the doctor said she has to eat.
Abhi says they have to take to a sandwich to Grandmother too.

Abhi and Pragya walk to the door and Abhi waits for Pragya to go out first before he follows.


Tanu is furious.


Tanu comes to see Nikhil at home.
He says they need to celebrate.
She throws the glass of alcohol he's holding.
She tells him that there is nothing to celebrate as Abhi is getting closer to Pragya and he's going to propose to her tomorrow.
She says it was all planned by his Grandmother and She says Grandmother used her own trick of making Abhi feel sorry for Pragya.
Nikhil says he has a new plan and this time they will leave everything up to Abhi as they will make sure he severs all ties with Pragya.
He says they need to get someone to fuel the fire.
Tanu says he needs to do what he has to do fast because tomorrow is Pragya's birthday.
