'Twist of Fate' Season 1 Episode 256 Recap - Aired: Friday 28 August 2017

Abhi tells Tanu to say the truth.
Tanu admits she stole the money from Pragya's safe but says she did it for Abhi as she knew Pragya wouldn't give him his share of the money.
Abhi raises his hand to slap her but stops himself.
He says she has made the biggest mistake, not by stealing but by accusing Sarla who is like a mother to him.
Tanu says Pragya was playing games.
Abhi says Pragya wasn't playing any games and had agreed to give him half of the money.
He says he knows she stole the money and accused Sarla because she wanted to hurt Pragya.
Tanu looks like she's about to cry.
Abhi says Sarla agreed to take the blame which makes her a hero.
Tanu is in tears.
Abhi says he's ashamed and disgusted at her behaviour and he hates her because she's a terrible person.

The entire family members are watching.
Tanu pleads with Abhi.
Abhi says he can't look at her anymore so she needs to leave.
Tanu begs him to think of the baby.
Abhi tells her to leave and not show her face in the house again because she has nothing to do with him or his family.
He walks away.

Tanu is in the room.
She calls Nikhil and he tells her he was thinking of her.
She tells him the money is all gone.
He asks what happened.
She tells him what happened.
They start arguing.
She hangs up.

Sarla is home with Janke.
She looks very depressed.
Grandmother calls and Janke answers the call.
Sarla is sitting in a daze.
Grandmother tells Janke to place the call on speaker.
She tells Sarla everything and says Tanu is about to leave the house.
Sarla says she is receiving the best news and everything will be fine once Tanu leaves the house.

Pragya enters the room to see Tanu packing.
She picks up a dress to fold and says she wants to help her pack.
Tanu tells her not to bother as she knows she's happy.
Pragya continues folding the clothes and says she is not really happy yet but will be when Abhi finds out the truth about the baby.
She vows to make Abhi know the truth so he has no regrets about throwing her out.
She reminds Tanu that everything started with the baby and Tanu is in the house because of the baby and the biggest mistake of her life was to trust Tanu.
She says she found out about the baby because she overheard Tanu's conversation with Nikhil and she heard Alia's plan to ruin Abhi which was what made her change her behaviour and take Abhi's property to protect him.
Tanu tells her she's not worthy of Abhi.
Pragya tells her to ask Abhi which of them is worthy of him.
Tanu says Abhi loves her and will never love Pragya who is a common teacher.
Pragya suggests they go to Abhi and Tanu tells him the truth about the baby so they see how much Abhi loves her.
She drags Tanu out of the room.
Tanu pulls away from her.
Pragya urges her to tell Abhi the truth and it he says he still loves Tanu, then she will (Pragya) leave the house.
Pragya asks Tanu if she can't see what she has now become a thief and a killer all for an obsession over someone who cut her off already.
Tanu tells Pragya to keep quiet as she's the one constantly trying to win Abhi.
Pragya says she is doing it for a reason.
She reminds Tanu that she saved Alia from a greater punishment and if Abhi finds out the real truth, he would kill her and Alia.

Tanu goes to the room to beg Abhi for forgiveness.
She reminds him that she's carrying their baby that would soon be born.
Abhi is torn.
She leaves and he sees a room decoration she gave him a while back.
He picks it up and tells himself that he doesn't want to be reminded or her so he needs to get rid of it.

Tanu is walking down the stairs.
She turns to see Abhi looking at her.
He calls her name.
She misses her step and falls down the remaining steps.

Everyone rushes to her.

Nikhil is at home thinking of what to do to Pragya.
He gets a call Pragya.
She tells him that Tanu fell down the stairs on her stomach.
He panics and asks who pushed her down.
She tells him nobody pushed her and he has to think about his unborn baby.

Tanu is taken to the hospital by Abhi and the family.
The doctor tells them that is not a good thing that she fell on her stomach...

A nurse brings a form and asks Abhi for Tanu's details.
She asks whose baby it is.
Abhi says it's his baby.

Tanu is taken into the theatre.
Nikhil arrives at the hospital.

Abhi is blaming himself for asking Tanu to leave the house.
Pragya sits with him.
He tells her that he really needs her support today.
She says she will always support him.
He says he feels guilty about what he said to Tanu because his baby's life is in danger because of it.
Pragya tells him it's not his fault.
Abhi says he would never forgive himself if anything happens to the baby.
Pragya assures him that it's not his fault and says she knows that the Lord will protect the baby.
The doctor comes out and says Abhi should have accompanied Tanu down the stairs so it's his fault that she fell.
He says both Tanu and the baby are fine but Tanu has been crying non-stop since she regained consciousness.

Nikhil sees Abhi and hides.

Pragya is thinking that she was just about to tell Abhi the truth about Tanu's baby.

She sees Nikhil and asks why he has come so soon.
He says he knows she wanted Abhi to see him that was why she invited him.
Pragya says she doesn't need to do something like that; she only wanted the father of the child to be aware of the baby's condition.
He tells her that very soon, she would be in Tanu's condition because now Abhi would be so guilty that he won't let Tanu leave the house anymore.
She tells him that his baby is fighting for his life and he's using it for his selfish gain.
She says people like he and Tanu don't deserve to be called parents.

Abhi is by Tanu's bedside.
The nurse tells him to make sure he looks after Tanu well over the next 2 months and make sure she takes her medicine.
Abhi says his family feels guilty for what happened to Tanu and they will all take care of her.

Tanu wishes Pragya could come into the room and hear what Abhi said.

Pragya is standing by the doorway, so she hears all Abhi said.
She tells herself that she has lost again and Tanu is winning.

She goes out to sit down in the waiting room.

Sarla and Grandmother arrive and they assure her that she hasn't lost as it must be God's will that Tanu will be exposed in a big way one day and Abhi would send her away without thinking twice about it.
