'Tinsel' Season 10 Episode 2079 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 12 July 2017

At Reel Studios, Jimoh tells Chuks that he tried ordering food from Ene on her website but it bounced back.
Chuks asks if he did it properly.
Jimoh says he did and it will be such a shame for a new business to be having issues with their website.
Chuks says he will look into it.

Amaka tells the nanny to get Tochi ready for school.
Dikibo asks if she's still not talking to him.
She ignores him.
He asks her to lunch.
She says she has a busy day.
He offers to help her drop Tochi at school and pick him up later.
She says he is not Tochi's guardian and his teachers don't know him.
He tells her to call the teachers then.
She says she's not having that conversation.

Frank tells Obiora that he just got a bank alert from Give to Get.
Obiora says he got his too.
Frank asks why people keep doubting them.
Obiora says they can keep doubting.

Sho joins them and asks what's going on.
Frank tells her about the 'Give to Get' scheme.
Sho says she needs money too.
Obiora gives Frank the bad eye for telling Sho about it.

Nnenna reads a story online about Odyssey having leadership crisis.
She shows Oris.
Oris says Charles mustn't read it.
Nnenna says she hopes it won't put Charles under any pressure.
Oris says he hopes Charles doesn't read it as they have enough pressure as it is.

Nero is having a meeting with Charles and the HODs.
Oris gives a pitch.
Nero says he doesn't like it as it sounded contrived and he didn't believe it.
Charles says they can add more flesh to it.
Nero says a pitch either catches him or it doesn't.
Oris says he has another one but hasn't fully come up with the story.
Nero tells him to work on it then get back to him. Charles tells Oris to listen to Nero.

The meeting is adjourned.

Everyone clears out except Oris and Nnenna.
Nnenna tells Oris that it seems Charles is afraid of that man.
Oris tells her to put some respect as the man is the real boss and Charles is just a dress rehearsal.

Serena is going over Alexis' script with her.
Alexis says she's tired.
Serena asks if she needs a drink.
Alexis goes to get herself a drink.

Serena calls IK to complain about Alexis' workload as the lines seem heavy and Alexis is reluctant to learn them.
IK says it's normal even with older actors.
Serena says she feels guilty about having her work during school hours.
IK asks what school she attends.
Serena says she home schools her for now but will enrol her soon so she can mingle with her age group.
IK says it's a good idea.
Serena complains about the hours.
He says they will work around her hours and they will get a tutor for her on set or Serena can do it since she has the experience already.
Serena says she feels better now.
She apologises for coming across as troublesome and explains that she just wants the best for her daughter.
He says it's expected of any good parent.
She thanks him and says getting a compliment so early in the day sets the tone for her.
He says he's glad he can be of service.
She says it feels good to have someone on her side for a change.

On Campus, Salewa is walking behind her supervisor as he's talking on the phone.
After he hangs up she greets him.
He asks if she has any new topic for him.
She begs him to please advise her on a topic.
He says so she can beg? The same Ade-Williams girl that refused to greet him on the morning of her matric.
She says it was 4 years ago.
He says she thinks because she comes from a rich home she can look down on those who are managing life and using their blood to make sure she gets an education.

Dikibo comes to the office.
He asks Funmi if Amaka is around.
She says Amaka stepped out.

la!de walks in and Dikibo asks if she has seen Amaka.
la!de asks if he has called her.
He says her number has been unreachable.
She says she spoke with Amaka earlier.
He says it seems Amaka has blocked him from reaching her.
la!de asks if everything is okay between them.
He asks her to come to his office.
She follows him out.

Funmi picks up the phone and tells someone that she has gist.

Nnenna asks Charles if Nero will be coming to the office often.
He says he's Angela’s father so he is expected to.
Nnenna says people have been saying they have leadership problems.
He asks whom.
She shows him the story on her phone.
He tells her that Nero's heart is in the right place and if he's not connecting to the stories then they have to do a better job.
She tells him not to listen to the blogs as they don't know what they are saying.
He thanks her for the vote of confidence.
She asks if he needs anything else.
He says he just needs to clear his head.
She leaves and he looks worried.

Dikibo tells la!de that all he wants is to absorb Amaka into his life and vice versa.
la!de says Amaka has been independent for a long time and a name change might be tough.
He asks why she doesn't allow him to adopt Tochi just as Fred adopted her.
She says it's not quite the same.
He says if she loves him as a husband why doesn't she want his name?
la!de says in some cultures women never take their husbands names.
He says he has a lot he wants to do for Tochi.
She asks if he won't do them if he doesn't adopt him.
He says it sounds selfish.
She says he's only human.

She asks what happens if Amaka agrees to a name change but still treats him like a stranger.
He says she's treating him like a stranger now, all because he was worried about her
la!de says no grown woman wants to be monitored.
He says it's just love and concern.
She tells him to take it slow and allow Amaka open up to him.
He asks for the timeline.
She says there isn't any but she will talk to Amaka and get a feel of where her head is at.
He thanks her.
She tells him it will take a while to undo the rigid aspects of Amaka's life, if ever.

Nnenna returns to Charles' office.
She asks what he's doing.
He says he is watching some rushes.
She tells him to respond to the blog post because there is a story that he threatened to beat up the blogger.
Charles says all he said was if he was interested in getting the inside scoop, he should come and meet him in the office if he had the courage.
Nnenna says on the Internet people joke with stuff like that but he is being taken seriously because it's Odyssey.
Charles says he will delete it.
Nnenna says it's too late as he's already trending online.

Brenda meets Serena waiting in her office.
Serena says she has a few concerns.
She takes out a note and says it's a list of things Alexis would need during her shoot.
Brenda goes through it and asks why she needs a driver to and from location.
Serena says she can't exhaust all her expenses and IK told her to let Brenda know what she needs.
Brenda says they can't afford to blow out their budget but she will look at the list and see what they can do.
Serena says she knows Brenda would be kind enough to let her know the alternatives to the demands on the list that she can't provide.
Brenda, in a heavily sarcastic tone, says 'Definitely.'
Serena thanks her and leaves.
Brenda crumples up the note.

Sheila comes to see Amaka at work.
Amaka greets her warmly.
Sheila says she overreacted yesterday and she came to apologise.
Amaka thanks her and says she meant no harm.
Sheila says Nero was on Amaka's side when she mentioned it to him.
Amaka says Nero didn't mention it to her.
Sheila asks if they've seen since then.
Amaka says they are friends and see each other friends time to time.
Sheila puts on her best smile and tells Amaka to give her love to her husband.
Amaka nods and Sheila leaves.
Amaka smirks.
