[Redd Estate]

Carrying a pretty small green cake, Peach came out of her room, looking pumped for today’s party.

Surely, another party will be happening. It’s her mother’s birthday.

She knew Kimmy would have left her room, so she went ahead to the living room. Surprisingly, her father was already there with her mother.

Acosta gave Kimmy a box of jewelry set, and she opened it with a full smile, caressing the jewels.

She looked up at Acosta who sat dutifully in front of her.

“Thank you, honey. And I’m sorry for yesterday’s slap. You know I get out of bounds when you support that Frump. It’ll never happen again.” She pouted, moving closer.

She placed her head on his shoulder.

“I didn’t buy you a birthday gift to hear your apology, Kimmy, and I don’t need the apology cos I know you’re still gonna do it anyways. I just want peace for the sake of my daughter.” Acosta replied.

“Come on,” Kimmy moved her lips to his mouth for a kiss…

“Happy birthday mummy!” Peach shouted, coming in with the cake.

“Hey, baby!” Kimmy stood, taking the cake from her before giving her a hug. “I love you, my world!”

“I love you too, mum.” She smiled sweetly, giving Acosta a fixed look and expecting him to apologize to her for not supporting her.

Acosta said nothing to her.

“I’m taking Peach to the hospital later today,” he mentioned. “The doctor said she needed to come for checks at least thrice for her constipation.”

“You should be talking about taking me out and fuckin me good, Costa. It’s my birthday.” Kimmy grimaced.

“I have plans for that too, Kimmy. Trust me.” Acosta assured.

The elevator came apart, letting Marley and Genevieve into the floor, both holding expensive boxes of gifts.

“Mum, dad!” Kimmy gushed.

Peach sat on the couch, unintentionally pressing the TV remote on with her bum.

The TV came on, airing the ongoing press conference.

The press conference every reporter is struggling to get a cover of.

There’s a lot ongoing at the venue.

• Live at Focal Plains, the biggest press-con yet is about to start!

• There are close to fifty reporters here, striving to enter, and inside? There are more than that.

• Seraphina, the disowned daughter of the Redds seems to have a lot to say. Every camera is striving to have her face in their news!

• This might be the biggest breaking news of the month!

• Stay tuned, everyone…it’s about to go down! Will she bring evidence?

“Wait…what??” Kimmy gasped.

“Seraphina?” Acosta muttered.

“She was gotten by Serpents, wasn’t she?” Genevieve faced Marley. “She was taken yesterday!!”

“Shit!” Marley threw down the gift box he’s holding. He rushed out.

“Marley!!” Genevieve yelled hotly, running after him.

Kimmy followed them, marching over the gift boxes including the one Acosta gave to her.

[Odium Hell Building]

Hell is fire.

Fire is hell.

The Odds believed both were born from the same throat, and that’s why a colossal fire is always kept alive whenever they gathered here.

It’s not a fireplace or a bonfire. It’s a living inferno—a sulphur-fed monstrosity that occupied its own section of the room like a god demanding worship.

The flames rose high enough to stain the darkness above, writhing and snapping loudly.

Every crackle sounded angry. Every burst of sparks looked violent.

Even the Odds kept their distance, and it’s not because they feared being burned, but because the fire belonged to Hell, and Hell is never approached casually.

The location of this building remains unknown till now, but it’s somewhere hidden in NYC.

No addresses. No records.

Some of the Odds call it The House of Screams cos the walls and floors have heard too much.

Right now, Tino has been stripped naked. Starkly.

According to Tobias’s orders, wide layers of industrial cellotape has been wrapped around his body from his toes to his face.

Now he’s just a white, motionless figure, discarded in the center of the room like something waiting to be buried.

Nobody knew if he was still breathing, and nbody checked cos Tobias forbade anyone from moving.

The fire is the room’s only source of light. No electricity.

No chandeliers or lamps.

Nothing but the savage orange glow spilling across expensive suits and expressionless faces.

Silence ruled the room, and not ordinary silence. It’s the kind that felt ceremonial. The kind that made breathing sound loud.

At the highest point in the room, sat Tobias. The First Man.

He’s the closest thing the Odds had to a devil sitting on a throne.

Like the others, he wore a suit.

But unlike the others, he wore no hat.

He never needed symbols of authority. He’s authority.

Yalda sat nearest to him.

Migos occupied the other side.

The rest spread outward in careful formation, arranged like loyal disciples around a dark altar.

Near the entrance Jude stood. He wore no suit, just casual clothes.

He stared at the inferno and swallowed hard.

The fire reflected in his eyes, and the fear did too.

On the table, there’s Tobias’s phone, buzzing every few seconds again and again with messages from Saint.

Begging.

Negotiating.

Anything to save Tino.

The phone screen kept lighting up, but Tobias never looked at it.

Beside the phone, sat a police summon invitation.

The invitation demanded Tobias appearance at the station before dusk cos Kelly had filed a case against him.

Failure to go to the station would result in an arrest for him.

The police mentioned that they would walk straight into his Church and drag him out.

It’s a situation capable of causing panic, but Tobias hadn’t touched the paper once.

Because neither Saint’s desperation nor Kelly’s threat mattered.

Not tonight.

Not in Hell.

The laptop on the table is open. On the screen of the laptop, the press conference played.

The laptop is the only thing in the room receiving more attention from Tobias than the fire because Seraphina is on the podium now.

And he’s watching her.

And his cult waited.

[Focal Plains Podium]

By the time Genevieve and Marley arrived, Seraphina already climbed the podium. Though, she’s not talking yet. She’s just there.

The cameras flashing incessantly at her face made her feel like she’s in front of the whole world, getting tried for murder.

When she danced at Club Quit, Allison encouraged her, pushed her, but now, there’s no time for Allison’s encouragement.

Also, she imagined Tobias blue eyes that night, but now after hearing the number of girls he was with, it felt hard to imagine those eyes.

Yalda even said she was gonna kill her if she fell for him.

Meaning, he’s off limits.

She can only use him and get done, and he’ll use her for sexual pleasures too. That’s why after he gave her that dangerous head last night, he tossed her easily to Yalda’s place.

She drew a large breath.

This is her life, and she needs to get a grasp of it, but the cameras on her eyes. The flashing cameras…

They’re too much.

Maybe her lenses were changed when she was asleep cos she can see clearly now, but still…

The cameras….

She closed her eyes and opened.

The cameras blurred her senses.

Then, questions from the reporters…

“What do you have for us!”

“Did you really steal Dora Redd’s work?”

“Are your crochets yours?”

“Say something!”

“Talk to us!”

Genevieve and Marley entered the place with their guards, and they began coming for the front when they saw how she just stood.

They knew the impact of cameras on her anxiety. They’re aware she’s currently in a daze that’ll take a while for her to get over.

Their guards will drag her down from the podium before she gets to say any stupid thing.

But Seraphina wasn’t just standing there and staring like a fool.

She was trying to pull herself together, too.

Calling her soul and mind to a conference of coordination.

She’s going to do this, and do it right.

The Priest organized this for her after almost eating her to death last night.

He used her, and this was her time to use him, too.

She pinched herself close to twelve times on the thigh, pulling herself out of her daze and overlooking the camera shutters on her face.

She killed every other noise in her mind and focused on herself.

Her eyes shot to the crowd of reporters instantly.

Now, Genevieve and Marley are just one step away from her.

“I’m challenging Dora Redd to a crocheting contest right here and now.” She talked clearly.

Genevieve and Marley stopped.

The hall went silent.

“We’ll both crochet right here in front of cameras, and if she gets all steps right and proves her ownership, she can get me locked up, but if I get it right and prove my ownership…”

She paused, looking at Genevieve and Marley before smiling dark.

“Dora Redd will have to close down her Fashion Clan, and she’ll lick my feet clean in front of every f+kin body here.” She snarled.

Then, she faced the crowd.

“Now, find Dora Redd and drag her here to this podium.” Her voice carried across the room, mouth tilted in quiet satisfaction.
