[Hospital]

Kelly refused food or water from any of the nurses when she woke up.

She paraded the ward with her fingers in mouth till Dean appeared with Uncle Will behind him.

“Baby!” She lowered her fingers, flying into his arms for a hug.

“How’re you, Kell?” Dean asked, arms going her too.

“I’m good, now that you’re here. Gosh, thought I’d be losing my arm forever,” She whined like a baby.

“The probability is still high, Kelly,” Dean broke the hug. “That’s why you shouldn’t use the arm too much yet.”

“But I hugged you, and it doesn’t hurt, Dean.” She argued with a blink.

“That’s because you’re on painkillers, Kell.” Dean insisted.

“Shit,” Kelly muttered.

“Yeah, so sit still.” Dean pressed her to the bed softly.

She sat back.

And as if under a spell, Dean imagined himself holding a kitchen knife and slitting Kelly’s throat with it, her blood splattering his face, and her body falling limply.

“Baby?” Kelly’s voice called him back to his senses, making him jolt.

“Kelly?” He lifted his frame.

“Yeah? What’s wrong? You’ve been spacing out.” Kelly frowned.

“Nothing,” Dean lied. “Just thinking of what should be done about Tobias.”

“What else? Get him arrested! He shot me! The bullet and my shot arm is the evidence!” Kelly spranged up.

“No one’s involving the cops!” Uncle Will stepped in.

“Oh don’t start with your bullshit of protecting him again!” Dean argued.

“No, Dean!” Uncle Will snapped. “You’re mostly the starter of everything that ever happened between the two of you. If you didn’t send men to rob him, this wouldn’t happen. Stop playing victim!”

“He nearly killed Kelly!” Dean argued again, obstinate.

“And you know he’d have killed her if he wanted!” Uncle Will snapped. “Leave him alone! I’m still working on how to contain him in that Church and make his bloodshed minimal. What I want you to focus on is the Empire! Focus on making it prosper beyond NYC and other countries!”

Dean’s jaws clenched.

Kelly was speechless behind them. She decided not to disrupt.

But she’s sure of one thing; she’s going to call the cops.

Now, or tommorow.

She’s filing a secret case against Tobias St. Graves.

[Next Morning – Yalda’s Place]

Seraphina woke up to distant exchange of words trying to make it’s way to her head.

The words kept knocking at her skull, and she feels like she knows the voices. At the same time, she doesn’t.

They sound crazy. Unhinged.

Seraphina turned in bed.

When her laps met, she felt the unforgettable electrifying soreness between her legs.

She jerked to the contact, getting detailed flashbacks.

Flashbacks of getting eaten on the altar. Flashbacks of the hour of sin.

That made her consciousness stronger, and she began hearing the two unhinged voices again.

The voices belong to the Odds—Yalda and Migos.

Why is she hearing their voices?

She sat up in bed, gasping when she saw she’s in an unfamiliar room which looks classy and badass with wigs of all types hanging by a side of the wall and a full table of makeup like this room was made for it.

Then, black butterfly drawings on the dim white wall.

Her heart raced.

Where’s she?

She rushed out of the room and tracing the two voices she’s hearing to a room that looks like a hub.

There, she saw them.

Yalda and Migos, and several other Odds. They’re there, milling like they’re in their own world.

Soft rap music played softly in the background. Words of the Odds hummed with the beat and lyrics.

Some of them are drinking, some smoking, some focused on laptops, some listening to music, some DJing.

Some are eating, too.

Different angles. Different doings.

But Yalda and Migos are the loudest. They’re the ones exchanging words.

Yalda stood by the bar, rolling a empty cup of wine in hand.

Migos sat on the snooker table, wearing glasses and cocky with pure gold chains flanking his neck.

“If you’re so important, Wrath wouldn’t tell me to organize the press conference.” Migos raised an hand.

“I was called first, man.” Yalda’s lips curled. “But because the New Meat needed clothes and shelter, I was called to come get her, so you got the press conference job instead. You’re a second option, dude.”

“Coming from a slut who fû+ks just anyone with the damn excuse of being a lesbian,” Migos stood.

“Same slut you’re obsessed with,” Yalda laughed richly.

“Obsessed with who?” Migos grinned. “I wanna f+k you and give you dollars right after.”

“You must be speaking of your mother!” Yalda raised her voice.

She’d have added more, but she saw Seraphina by the door and stopped.

She came over to her.

“Hey, New Meat.” She smiled.

Seraphina couldn’t even reply.

She only stared at her. Her high, bold, dark rich energy.

Yalda is beautiful. She felt so small and unimportant close to her.

“For starters,” Yalda shrugged. “I’m Yalda Rahimi, born in Iran, but I grew up in America. I’m Iranian-American.” She introduced.

“Why am I in this…hub?” Seraphina asked slowly.

“Hub?” Yalda chuckled. “This is my house, girl. But many of the Odds like to crash here cos…well… everyone likes Yalda, including Migos.”

“Where’s…Father?” Seraphina asked.

“He’s probably in Hell right now, and before you ask where’s that, Hell Building is where Odds meet officially. We’ll soon go there to meet him. He called me to come get you last night after he ate you.”

Seraphina’s lip bled immediately cos she bit it hard.

They know?

She’s even calling her New Meat.

Meaning…

“There were others?” She asked slowly, blinking.

“You mean other Meats?” Yalda raised her lids. “Yeah. There was Kelly, Ruth, Jenna, Ayesha, Elena, Alexandria, Bianca, Bella, Glendon, Polly, Jacinta, Dorothy, Lila, Hellen, Erika—”

“Stop!” Seraphina shouted.

“You asked for it, girl.” Yalda smiled cooly. “I could go on all day. You’re one of a very long Meat list, so calm down for him and enjoy the good fû+k wherever he wants it. He’ll do whatever you wish, don’t just fall in love, or I’ll kill you before he even does, Seraphina.” She went blank.

“I’m not….in love.” Seraphina stressed.

“Have you been to his house?” Yalda scoffed. “Not the poor Rectory the church gave him. I mean, his own fuckin great house. I guess you haven’t. And has he even f+ked you before? Your p+sy would beg him.”

“I….” Seraphina felt her throat clamping, blocking. “I… need to go. I have so many things to… sort out.”

“You have a press conference to attend this morning.” Yalda nodded. “So I called your friend.”

“Press conference? My friend?” Seraphina frowned.”

Yalda’s phone bleeped.

“Oh, she’s here.” She smiled.

Then, Migos appeared.

“Follow,” he glared.

Seraphina looked at Yalda.

“Let’s hope Wrath invites you to our Horror Night. If he does, I’ll see you again, and you’ll see how things are done within the Odds.” Yalda raised a intentional lid at her.

“Keep up, Meat!” Migos hissed.

Seraphina followed Migos who took her to the main door of the house and left her there. He shut the door.

“Phina!” Allison’s voice found her there, making her turn.

She saw Allison in front of the house, coming down from her car.

“Lis!” She breathed in relief, rushing over to her hug.

“Who took you? Where have you been? Where’s this place? Who called me to come here to take you? I was even told to take you to a press-con where you’ll prove your innocence.” Allison rushed her words.

“Press conference?” Seraphina asked as she broke the hug.

“Yeah!” Allison nodded.

Seraphina almost started wondering again, but she made the inductions. Who else but the Priest?

“After the press-con, I’ll tell you everything. Can you take me there?” She asked Allison.

“Of course!” Allison got in the car backseat with her.

In the front, Bexley drove.

She spent the night at Allison’s, and this morning, Allison woke to a call saying she should come collect Seraphina here, so she offered to drive here with Allison just to see for herself, and now it’s real.

Seraphina is out of Valhalla Club grounds?

How?

Wasn’t she captured by the Serpents of Valhalla?

She didn’t even pay to mind to Allison and Seraphina’s conversation at the back of the car till they arrived at the press conference location.

It was already full of reporters.

Inside the house. Outside of it.

World market would be the right work for the stuff.

Seraphina couldn’t believe her eyes.

“F+k!” Bexley cussed when she stepped out with Allison.

“Damn!” Allison’s eyes widened. “Your helper organized this? Who exactly is this helper?”
