[Savior’s Alive Church – Mountain]
It had been an hour now.
Sixty minutes of dragging, suffocating torment.
Sixty minutes of cries breaking into nothing but echoes.
Sixty minutes of begging that landed nowhere.
Tobias held a really small axe with bloodstained blade.
The owner of the blood is guessable.
Loaner Boss.
For the past one hour, Tobias has sliced his flesh in four places.
The four places were enough to torture him physically and mentally.
He looks like he’s already begging for death with his eyes.
But he’s not pitied.
Grimm is with them, tongue out. The dog licked it’s lips in relish.
Tobias drove the axe into Loaner Boss’s back again, tearing a heavy piece of flesh and flinging it aside.
Grimm seized the flesh at once, chewing with a sickening calm and licking blood from his teeth while the man’s screams rose rawly again.
If screams could break stone, the mountain would have split apart.
It’s worse cos he was made to watch how the dog ate his flesh.
Tobias raised the axe once more and brought it down on his leg.
He tore another flesh free and tossed it to the waiting dog as if it were nothing more than garbage—discarded without thought, without remorse.
Jude stumbled back and rushed faraway to vomit fluid.
Tobias turned slowly, giving him a weird stare.
“Well, J. I deserve an explanation for this lukewarm shit. You are the same person who was pressing a gun to Kelly’s head and shit. Now, you’re vomiting cos I’m simply feeding my damn dog?” He shrugged.
Jude wiped his mouth, straightening. “My parents told me before they died that I must do anything to get rich whatever the source might be, so after their death, I became a pickpocket in Texas and…I once became a part of a street gang who taught me the use of a gun, but i changed my mind the night before our first operation cos I was scared of being caught, so I left the gang.”
“I know all of that shit, J. I looked into your life before choosing you. What I’m asking is why the f+k are you vomiting at the sight of a human flesh getting cut?” Tobias questioned.
“I haven’t seen it before. It’s my first time, but I promise to adjust.” Jude nodded, wiping his mouth again.
“You better do,” Tobias voice was hard as iron. “Because after this one dies, I’ll have him buried near the Brothers’ Quarters. Close enough that you’ll have to pass him every day on your way to church.” He said it like it was nothing more than routine.
“You’re diabolical,” Jude came back, staring fearfully at him.
“Thank you,” Tobias let a composed smile settle on his lips, cold.
He cut flesh from Loaner Boss’s arm.
His screams erupted again.
“You haven’t even seen diabolical, J. When you see diabolical, you’ll do more than vomit.”
Jude looked at him, uncertain.
“Who are you?” He asked slowly. “Can’t even find anything online.”
“Quit searching, you won’t find a damm thing.” Tobias . “You’ll know what I want you to know, soon, but don’t expect immaculate. I’m the opposite of that shit.”
“That’s obvious,” Jude smiled. “But about your brother’s wife Seraphina, she’s…. who?”
At the mention of her name, Tobias felt his c+k heating.
Shit, not again.
“She’s who she is.” He responded steadily, as if he hid bloody secrets under each word.
Jude went silent, staring at the arrow Tobias held in his other hand. He wants to ask where it’s from.
But maybe not now. Tobias seems to be in a better mood now.
He won’t muddle that.
Tobias cut another flesh from Loaner Boss’s shoulder.
By now, his life was already slipping away from his chest.
He couldn’t scream high again.
—
Meanwhile, by the Church park, Uncle Will’s car drove in.
He came down looking like he’s ready to break the ground with his feet.
Tobias sent the second carved body to the Memorial Estates this morning, and he received it with shock.
Second body?
He concluded he had to come, so he did, planning confrontation.
He made his way to the Rectory.

[Press-con Podium – Noon]
Reporters are always packed and poised for the Redd family briefing.
Over thirty of them gained authorized access to podium grounds to cover the press conference.
Cameras look like a swarm of pale bees behind the room, shuttering and blinking waiting for it.
Different theories.
Different guesses.
No one knows the reason for this press-con. They’re all on their tip toes, anxious as hell.
When the family entered the hall, the camera shutter exploded, nearly blinding them with too much light.
They look washed out and pale.
Peach walked straight to the podium while the rest of the family remained seated in the front rows.
Kimmy beside Dora, both with expectant looks of villains.
Genevieve beside Marley. While Marley’s chin is raised, Genevieve stared at Peach with hostile encouragement in her eyes.
Peach stood on a chair before the towering VAS.
Every eyes locked onto her.
Silence fell, leaving the podium in all cameras all flashes.
Peach felt eerily special.
All of these people are here to hear and record what she says?
Too special.
Even Kimmy smiled proudly, muttering “that’s my girl right there.”
Peach cleared her throat, breaking the asphyxiating silence.
“I know y’all are used to Redd family success press-cons, but this is different,” she nodded, speaking too well for a ten year old.
“Seraphina, the disowned child of the family is a thief.” She continued,
The cameras followed the statement with more blinking reflections in her eyes, demanding more from her.
“The crochets she’s working on? That same design was Dora’s idea when Seraphina was still at our Estate. Dora used to describe her upcoming desigs for us before it even came out. When Seraphina left, she stole it and made it hers to get back at the family for disowning her. Seraphina is a thief” Peach continued eloquently.
And the news carried it immediately.

[Dean’s Estate – Dinning]
Seraphina decided to finally take a break for the sake of her fingers.
She made fifteen pieces already, and at the end of today, she intends to have made more than twenty.
She got fruits and yogurt in the blender and made herself a cup of smoothie. She cut a piece of cake for herself to go along with it.
With a tired smile, she settled on the dinning to eat, but she thought of sending a text first.
She picked up her phone, clicked ‘Father’ and began typing…
• Five to go. I’m ’bout to smash your challenge to the dirt.
She sent with a bigger smile, tiredness floating off.
Before she could drop her phone, she received a long, loud DM alert which made her mind race.
What’s going on?
She didn’t commit a crime.
Why is her DM so full?
She clicked Instagram, and that was it. Her whole life shattered.
No. Shattered would be a kind word. Her life drowned and left the surface of the earth.
Cos the message in her DM?
There are tons of them
Tons of messages, and each of them called her a thief, tagged her to a particular press-con video.
When she clicked on the press conference video and saw Peach speaking publicly like that, her eyes blurred her screen. She got a momentary heart seizure.
The video is on the news.
It’s everywhere. Every screen.
Also, the people who ordered from her crochets already withdrew their orders. Everyone of them.
They withdrew.
“No, no, no!” she screamed, clutching her head, her breath coming in sharp, broken bursts. “This shit can’t be happening… I….. I….. put so much work into this… I did…..did everything right,” she choked out.
Her voice cracked as her stammer bled raw emotions into her words.
Her fingers dug into her scalp like she was trying to hold her thoughts together, shaking violently as she struggled to breathe. “I’ve… I’ve….been working on this for so long…my…my night….hours, minutes, everything… I gave it….gave it everything…” Her voice rose and fell between rage and disbelief. “I….I can’t take…I can’t…. take…this….”
Her stammer got worse she bit her tongue unintentionally, the horror of her sabotage glaring at her.
“Damnit!!” She screamed, shaking, confused, going crazy.
She picked up her phone, deciding she wasn’t just gonna get sabotaged and ruined like this.
She went to saved videos, and right there, sat the video she made when Marley shot the former gatekeeper of the Estate. She made the video secretly, and no one knew cos they think she’s the dumbass anyways.
She’s going to put this out and ruin that family too.
She ran out of the house in her short afternoon gown, jumped in her Lexus. Her phone cried as she began driving out of the estate.
It’s Dora.
She picked up.
Dora’s scornful laughter filled the line, rumbling through the speaker.
“Do you like the incurable burn you got, bi+ch? Do you like it? Say it to my ears and let me know you like it!” She laughed derisively again.
“Whore, you have no idea what’s about to hit everyone of you snakes in that family!” Seraphina spat, driving rough. “You have no damn idea what I’m about to do!”
“What would you possibly do, Talentless Frump? What!!” Dora screamed in mockery.
Seraphina’s phone fell to the car floor when a destructive force met her front windshield, breaking the glasses and distributing them everywhere including her mouth.
She held tight to the steering, but she still lost control of the car as another destructive hit met the car windows by the left.
Another one by the right, and the final smash at the back.
Every single board of glass was broken. The car became shitty in those few seconds. Seraphina’s face received few glass hit, too.
She couldn’t even look up cos her neck hurts already, but dimly, she could see the people surrounding the car—people who destroyed the car.
They’re all thick men who look like bouncers trained in hell.
Snake tattoos shadowed their skins, they wrote Serpent on their brows and wore leather clothes with true snake-scale designs.
One of them dragged Seraphina out roughly through one of the broken car windows.
Her laps was torn by the glass.
She resisted, but she was set straight with a heavy slap from one of them. The callused, think palm met her cheek like a detonation.
She fell back, body slumping on the car.
She passed out, blood trailing heavily out of her nostrils.
“Leader would want her p+sy. She’s damn clean and full.” One of them with diamond grills on his teeth commented.
“Yeah, you know how that shit works.” Another one with dyed hair laughed crookedly.
Seraphina was thrown into their car—a black limousine.
The men jumped in the car with her, and the car tore into the distance mechanically, gone within seconds.
