Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 1
The Ink Trap
Who could ever guess that a sweet smile could hide a very dark secret?
Bisi and Lola were the best of friends. They shared food, toys, and secrets since they were little girls. Everyone in their small neighborhood said they were like two peas in a pod. If you saw Bisi, you knew Lola was just a few steps behind. They did everything together, from playing under the mango tree to studying for their big school exams. No one could ever separate them because they loved each other like sisters.
As the years passed, they grew into beautiful young women. Their friendship stayed strong even when life started to change. Bisi was the quiet one, always kind and always ready to help anyone in need. Lola was the bright one, the life of the party, always laughing and making jokes. They seemed like the perfect team.
Then, everything changed when Bisi met Tunde.
Tunde was a kind man with a gentle voice and a heart full of gold. He worked hard at his job and always treated people with respect. When he met Bisi, he felt like he had found the missing piece of his life. He loved Bisi so much, and she felt the same way about him. It was a beautiful love story that made everyone around them smile.
Before long, Tunde asked Bisi to marry him. Bisi was so happy that she cried tears of joy. She told Lola the news right away. Lola hugged her tight and said all the right things. She told Bisi that she was so lucky to find a man like Tunde.
On the day of the wedding, the sun was shining bright. The church was decorated with beautiful flowers, and everyone was wearing their best clothes. Lola was the chief bridesmaid, just as they had planned when they were little girls. She stood right beside Bisi at the altar. She was wearing a beautiful dress and a wide, happy smile that lit up the room.
During the reception, Lola held the hands of Bisi and said, "I am so happy for you, my dear friend. I truly wish I could find a man as good as Tunde."
It sounded like such a sweet and kind thing to say. Everyone who heard it thought Lola was the best friend anyone could ever have. But, as Bisi turned away to hug her new husband, the bright smile of Lola slowly melted away.
Her eyes turned cold, like ice in the winter. The warmth in her face vanished, leaving behind a look that was hard and sharp. Deep inside her heart, a monster of jealousy woke up. It was a dark, ugly feeling that started to grow like a weed in a garden.
Lola did not want a man like Tunde. That was a lie she told to everyone. The truth was much darker. She wanted Tunde. She wanted him for herself. She looked at Tunde, then at Bisi, and a plan began to form in her mind. It was a wicked plan, covered in layers of lies and fake love.
She watched them dance, and instead of feeling happy for her best friend, she felt a burning heat in her chest. She had spent years living in the shadow of Bisi. Now, she felt it was her turn to be the one in the light. She had been the one to help Bisi with everything, to guide her, to be her shadow. But now, that shadow was ready to step out and take the place of the person she was following.
She looked at her own reflection in a nearby glass. She saw the same face, the same hair, and the same smile that she always showed the world. But inside, she was someone else entirely. She was a woman who was tired of being second. She was a woman who was ready to do whatever it took to get what she wanted, even if it meant hurting the only person who had ever truly loved her.
The wedding cake sat on a table, white and beautiful. It was a symbol of love and a new beginning. Lola looked at it and thought about how easy it would be to ruin everything. She knew all of Bisi’s weaknesses. She knew exactly what made Bisi happy and what made her sad. She had all the information she needed to tear this marriage apart, piece by piece.
It was an ink trap, and she had spent years preparing the ink. Every secret Bisi ever told her was now a weapon. Every moment of trust was now a tool to use against her. Lola straightened her dress and took a deep breath. The game had officially begun. No one saw the change in her. No one suspected that the bridesmaid was actually the biggest threat to the bride’s happiness.
She walked back into the crowd, putting that sweet, fake smile back on her face. She laughed at a joke Tunde made, and she patted Bisi on the back. She played the part perfectly. She was the best friend, the supporter, the sister. But behind the mask, she was already counting the minutes until she could make her move.
She thought about how Bisi was too trusting. That was her biggest flaw. Bisi believed that everyone was as good as she was. She thought that because she had a good heart, everyone else did too. She didn't know that the person standing closest to her was the one who wanted to see her fall the most..
Lola walked over to the buffet table to get a drink. She watched Bisi and Tunde from across the room. They looked so happy. She felt a surge of anger, but she controlled it. She knew she had to be patient. She couldn't just jump in and cause a scene. That would make people suspicious. She had to be clever. She had to be invisible. She had to be the ink that stained the page without anyone knowing who poured it.
She started to think about the next day. How would she start? She knew Tunde had a weakness for nice surprises. She could pretend to be Bisi and send him a message. Or maybe she could leave a note that would make Tunde doubt Bisi’s love. There were so many options. The possibilities were endless.
She looked at her phone in her small purse. She had saved so many pictures of Bisi and Tunde. She had been collecting them for months. She had even recorded their voices when they didn't know. She was ready..
She felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Bisi.
"Are you okay, Lola? You’ve been standing here for a while," Bisi said, her voice full of genuine concern.
Lola turned around and gave Bisi a warm, loving hug. "I am just so happy for you, Bisi. I’m just taking it all in. It’s such a beautiful day."
Bisi smiled, completely unaware of the poison hidden behind that hug. "You have been such a blessing to me. I don't know what I would do without you."
"You will never have to know," Lola whispered into Bisi’s ear, her voice soft and sweet, but her eyes cold as stone.
Bisi let go and turned back to Tunde. She felt so safe, so loved, and so sure of her future. She had no idea that her best friend was standing right behind her, plotting her downfall.
Lola took a sip of her drink. It tasted like victory. She watched the couple walk toward the dance floor. The music was playing a slow, romantic song. People were cheering and clapping. Everything was going according to plan.
She knew that the first step was to create a small distance between them. Just a tiny crack in the glass. Once the crack was there, it would be easy to break the whole thing. She didn't need to do it all at once. She had time. A marriage is a long thing, and there are many moments of doubt in every relationship. She would just wait for the right moment to plant a seed of suspicion.
She began to scan the room for people who might be useful to her. There were some people who didn't like Tunde. Maybe she could talk to them? Maybe she could find out some gossip that she could twist? The possibilities were everywhere if you knew where to look.
Lola felt a strange sense of excitement. This was better than any game she had ever played. This was real life, and she was the director. She was in control. She felt powerful.
She walked over to a group of friends and started to talk. She was her usual charming self. She told funny stories, she laughed at everyone’s jokes, and she made sure everyone felt good. She was gathering her resources, building her army of influence. She knew that if she played her cards right, when the trouble started, everyone would be on her side, and no one would blame the nice, sweet friend.
She looked at the clock. It was getting late. The wedding would be over soon. She knew this was just the beginning. She had a whole lifetime to work with. She was not going to rush. She was going to savor every moment.
As the night ended, she said goodbye to Bisi. She hugged her and told her to have a wonderful honeymoon. She watched them drive away, and she felt a sense of relief. Now, the real work could begin. She had the key to their lives, and she was going to use it to open the door to her own desires.
She walked to her car, her head held high. She was the one who had planned this wedding. She was the one who had made sure everything was perfect. And she would be the one to decide when it was time for it to end.
She started the engine and drove into the night. The road ahead was dark, but she knew exactly where she was going. She had a map in her head, and she was following every turn. She was the architect of her own fate, and she was ready to build a new life, even if she had to burn down the old one to do it.
She reached her house and went inside. She sat at her desk and opened a notebook. It was filled with notes about Bisi and Tunde. She had been keeping this journal for a long time. It was her secret weapon. She looked at the last page and smiled. She wrote down the date. It was the first day of the rest of her life.
She picked up her pen and began to write. She wrote about her plan, about the things she would do, and about the end result. It was all there, clear and simple. She was going to take everything that Bisi had, and she was going to make it hers.
She looked out the window at the stars. They were bright and beautiful, just like her future. She felt a sense of peace. She was doing what she had to do. She was taking her place in the world.
She went to bed, tired but happy. She fell asleep immediately, dreaming of a life where she was the one with the kind husband and the happy home.
The next morning, she woke up and started her day as usual. She went to work, she met with friends, and she kept on with her life. But inside, she was different. She was on a mission. She was an ink trap, and she was waiting for the right moment to catch her prey.
She checked her phone. No messages from Bisi yet. That was fine. She would wait. She would be patient. She knew that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
She went about her business, but her mind was always on Tunde and Bisi. She was thinking about their next move, about what they would do, and about how she could fit into their lives. She was like a spider, weaving a web, waiting for the perfect time to trap them..
She knew that it would be a long road, but she was prepared. She had all the time in the world. She was young, she was smart, and she was ready for anything.
She felt a surge of confidence. She knew that she would get what she wanted. It was only a matter of time.
She sat at her favorite spot and watched the world go by. People were walking, talking, and laughing. They were all living their own lives, oblivious to what she was planning. It was a beautiful day, and she felt like she was a part of it all.
She knew that the journey she was about to embark on would be filled with challenges, but she was ready. She was the master of her own destiny, and she was going to do whatever it took to reach her goal.
She felt a sense of purpose. She was doing something important. She was changing her life. And she was going to be the one who decided how it would all end.
She looked at her phone again. This time, she saw a message. It was from Bisi.
"Hey, Lola! We are having such a great time. Tunde is so wonderful. I wish you were here with us."
Lola read the message and felt a cold chill run down her spine. She typed a reply, her fingers moving quickly on the screen.
"I am so happy to hear that! You deserve all the happiness in the world. I am so glad that you are having a great time. I cannot wait to see you when you get back."
She pressed send and put her phone away. She felt a sense of satisfaction. It was working. She was in their lives, she was close to them, and she was ready for whatever was coming next.
She knew that this was just the beginning of a long and complex story. And she was ready to be the main character.
She stood up and walked away, her steps firm and confident. She knew exactly what she was doing, and she was ready for the next chapter.
The sun set in the west, painting the sky with beautiful colors. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day. And she was ready for a new one.
No matter how many people it hurt.
She was going to do it.
She was going to get what she wanted.
And no one was going to stop her.
The story was just beginning.
