?Chloe’s POV?
It six in the evening and am already at home, i kinda feel happy today atleast Declan was nice to me, i can’t believe we chatted all day and he seems nice just like Ethan. But did he just said Jasmine still loves Ethan, was that the reason why they were making out at the sitting room. I can’t believe this!
“you look worried,” Erica said then sat down next to me.
“am fine,” i quickly
replied.
“so how’s your work as the house help, do you like it? now that Aunt Cecily will soon be discharged from the hospital, aren’t you gonna quit the job and get a new job? she asked.
“i wish so.. but i can’t quit it, not now because am not sure if i will find a good job right away,”
“okay,” she replied busy with her phone.

The next day, it a good thing Aunt Cecily was discharged from the hospital and i was so happy about it. Everything seems to work out well. I arrived to Ethan’s place and Declan flash me his sweetest smile to me. I don’t know why he’s been this lovely around me. Well i guess he’s just trying to be nice.
“hi”
“hi, how’re you? and how about your mother? he asked while i smile.
“she’s fine and my aunt, she’s already discharged from the hospital and am so happy about that,” i smile while he chuckle.
“Chloe,” i heard my name then turn to see Ethan with a frown on his face.
“can you get on with the work and mind you. I want you to sweep and mop my study room before i come back from work,” he said while i nodded, i thought he’s my friend but i guess i was wrong. Let me put it this way, he’s my boss cos he’s the one who employ me. How do i even get close to Jasmine. Well maybe Declan will help since he kinda like me.
I was done with breakfast and Mr. Nicholas left for work while Ethan was also ready to leave.
“make sure you do what i ask you to do before i come,” Ethan ordered whle i nodded before he left.
“why his sudden behavior? i asked Declan who was still having his breakfast.
“huh… i don’t know, you know Ethan sometimes have anger issues, he’s hot tempered,” he said while i just nodded.
“hmm..ok,” i said while he nodded.
“am going to visit Jasmine today, am ready to help you out,” he said while i smiled. So does that mean am going to see my dad.. i mean Sir Anton in real life.. oh gosh!.
I hate that man.
“am sure Jasmine will gonna like you,”
“i hope so,” i said while he held my hand and i kinda feel scared. I don’t want to be a victim of ra-pe again. Am just so scared to be touched by any man, am not used to all these. Not after what Collins and my stupid boss did to me.
“i don’t bite Chloe, come with me,” he said while i remembered what my boss at the restaurant did to me. I foolishly followed him to his office and….oh no i don’t want to remember that.
“uhmmm.. Declan i will just wait for you here,” i said while he seems to notice my fear.
“okay, i just want to…
“Declan,” a lady’s voice interrupted, i turn and was surprise to see Jasmine.
“Jasmine! i was just thinking of going to your house,” he said.
“Declan, what about Ethan, where’s is he? she asked so pissed already.
“i guess you know where to find him, at your father’s company,” Declan said then moved closer to her.
“Declan..,” she pouted then hug-ged him.
“can you please talk to Ethan. Can’t he just love me back,” she said then withdrew from the hug, she frown when she saw me still standing beside them.
“you? what the hell are you looking at? she yelled at me and i almost flinch.
“Jasmine, she’s our new house help,” Declan said.
‘and are you flirting with her? she asked rudely.
“come on Jasmine, i guess this one of the reason why Ethan don’t like you. Watch your tongue, atleast try to be kind to everyone,” he said while she frown.
“try to be kind to this cheap low clas-sgirl,” she said with anger then eyed me.
“Jasmine!
“don’t call my name Declan. You guys are just so useless for my liking,” she yelled then hurriedly left out. I can’t believe my sister turn out to be insane just because of a guy. Why is she forcing herself on him for crying out loud.
“Jasmine can be so annoying atimes, but she’s still our friend and i like so much, am sure Ethan likes her too, he’s just heart broken,” Declan said sadly.
“am sure one day she’ll turn around and come back to her senses, i can’t wait to have my sister back,” i said with tears clouded up in my eyes.
“you can’t wait to have your sister back..? what did you mean? Declan asked while i realise what i just said.
“huh… nothing. I just said she’ll one day come back to her real self and i also miss my sister at home, i can’t wait to go home and see her,” i said while he looked at me then nodded.
“then you can take a day off,” he quickly said looking so concerned.
“no am fine, and beside i don’t want Ethan to be angry at me,”
“i would like to see your family,” he said while i just nodded. Of course am not gonna let anyone know about my family, just as mom said they might be enemy within.
A week later⏩
Anton’s POV?
I was done having dinner with my family, Karen was seated beside me while Jasmine and Sean next to me.
“Jasmine, i can’t believe my only beautiful daughter will end up begging for love,” i said while she look at me with a frown.
“dad… i only love Ethan, all am doing is trying to apologies for what i did to him. I couldn’t stop thinking of him, i love him so much dad, just the way you do love mom Karen. You’re more experience about love dad, so you should know how it feels to be rejected by the one you so much love,” she said while i looked at her sadly.
“Jasmine dear, like i told you earlier you have to move on. I know you, Ethan and Declan had been friends ever since you’re kids but that doesn’t mean you’re destined for Ethan, he might not be your destiny,” Karen said.
“mom is right Jas, i hate to see you being so frustrated over a guy who doesn’t love you afterall you were the cause of all this mess,” Sean said while Jasmine glare at him.
“everyone is right Jasmine, i love you so much and i want the best for you,” i said while she dropped her fork then stood up in anger
“if you want the best for me then plead with Ethan to love me back, cos i will do everything in my power to have him to myself. Dad i guess you never felt this way, you never know what it means to be rejected by the person you love and believe me that time will surely comes when you’ll be rejected by the one you love and then you’ll know how it feels,” she yelled, I can’t believe Jasmine spoke to me this way.
“Jasmine, watch your tongue, he’s your father incase you forget,” Karen yelled at her.
“no, i have to tell him the truth and for your information i saw your ex wife. Camille! but that was years ago before i went to the states, she pleaded with me to forgive and come back to her but i refuse afterall you told me she was a bad woman and the reason why i haven’t told you was because i don’t still know if you love her or not, i want to keep this family complete, but i guess it high time i look for my own mother maybe only her can understand me and help me begg Ethan back to my life,” she yelled with so much anger and i was so pissed already.
“stop it Jasmine,” i yelled at her while she flinch then hurried upstairs to her room, i looked at Karen who has a sad face and Sean was worried as well.
“Jasmine, am willing to help you,” Sean yelled then ran after her. I just lost my appetite. I ran my hands throu-ghmy hair and bang the table. How dare she…. Camille came back looking for Jasmine.. she’s so selfish! not after what she did to me… to my Chloe…. Am not gonna allow her. Jasmine is my daughter and i won’t let Camille ruin this happy home, she’s such an ingrate.. i hate her!!!??

⏩The next day in the evening⏩.
Camille’s POV?
Cecily was doing much better, she has fast recuperate and thank goodness Erica was done with her exams while Chloe is still busy with her job of being a house help, i never like the job afterall, i guess it high time she quit since Cecily has recover and as for our plan.. she said Jasmine is just too tough. I wonder what make my little Jasmine turn out this way, what has Anton and Karen told her. I love Jasmine so much i don’t want things to be too late before she comes back to me.
I can’t abandon my daughter, i have always know Jasmine to be cheerful and smiles a lot but everything changed when Anton chase me out of his house, i should have go alone with my daughter. Now how do i get my Jasmine back from him.
I took a stroll down the street alone, thinking about my life and how foolish i was, i ruined my life, i ruined my marriage and everything. I still blame myself for everything that happen to me, i remember all the people i have lost. My parents, my best friend and her husband, the same night i almost lose Chloe was still the same night i lost my baby.. our third child with Anton. It still hurts to remember all this. I stopped at a coffee shop and about to enter when i bumped into someone else.
“hey miss, are you okay? the man asked then i realise it was the man that brou-ght me to the hospital.
“you! i said kinda surprise.
“thank goodness you’re find, your daughters would have swallow me alive,” he said while i smile.
“am sorry about their
behavior towards you,”
“i understand, am sure your daughters loves you so much,” he said while i smile.
“care for some coffee, let go inside,” he said.
“no, i need to go home now,” i said.
“you’re leaving… but please i insist we have some coffee together.. please,” he pleaded while i just gave in.
“okay..” i replied while he smiled.
“so what will you like to take? he said when we both sat down opposite to each other.
“nothing… am okay,”
“are you sure? he asked while i nodded. I don’t even know why am seated here with a stranger, what else am i gonna discus with him.
“you look so sad.. are you okay? don’t you feel comfortable around me? he asked
“am fine..,” i said sadly.
“am sorry for what happen last week, i thought i was not gonna see you, i only wanted to help you but….
“no sir, we don’t need anything from you, i and my daughters are fine,” i cut him off while he just nodded.
“okay then am sorry. So how are your daughters? he asked.
“they’re fine,” i replied, i don’t feel comfortable around him.
“don’t call me Sir am Sebastain,” he said while i nodded.
“okay Sebastain,” i said while he smile.
“thank you Camille,”
“you still remember my name? i asked while he nodded.
“i don’t forget things easily. So please can we get to know each other better. I want to know more about you, your daughters and husband. Am sorry to ask but i just want to know,” he said while i looked at him sadly with tears already clouded up in my eyes. I can’t tell him anything because i don’t even know anything about him.
“huh.. am sorry if you don’t want to say anything,” he quickly said giving me a handkerchief to wipe my tears.
“am really sorry to ask you this, i just feel to know you better ever since we meet at the hospital but i guess your daughters won’t allow that. I also shed tears when i remember about my past,” he said while i looked to him, he look so sad.
“really?
“yes, i still couldn’t get over everything that’s why am still alone,” he said sadly.
“i guess life is being so unfair to us then. My life has been a mess,” i said in tears. I don’t know what push me to tell him everything, but i told him everything about my life.
“so that’s how Anton left me with our daughter Chloe and we went ahead and married Karen,” i concluded in tears while Sebastain look so sad, he seems really touched and he’s eyes were filled with tears.
“you mean Anton Santagio, is your ex husband? he asked while i nodded.
“i know him then. He seems to be a good man i don’t know he could be this foolish,” he said, my heart skip a bit, how did he know Anton? is he Anton friend? or business partner?
“but.. how did you know him? i asked.
“am one of their investors and i also sign a contract with him. Am from Mexico but actually came back here to stay cos my uncle is still handling our business in Mexico,” he said while i nodded.
‘I guess that’s why your daughters loved you. I can’t believe you survived after all that happen to you, you’re such a strong woman,” he said while i just smile sadly.
“i guess we were never meant to be at all, maybe that’s our fate,” i said
“you know, my past was also filled with tears. I didn’t
grew up from a rich family. When i was ten my parents died in ghastly motor accident, i was raised by my aunt, we were so poor, so very poor that i was being insulted everywhere i go. But my life change when i meet Lynn. Despite the fact that she knew i was poor, she still stood by me, she was the one who brou-ght me out of darkness. We fallen for each other and got married. I got a minor job which i was able to take care of my wife, i was glad that she wasn’t like other women who like money,
complain or nag, she accepted me the way i am and i love her so much but everything changed when we got our first child Jared,” he said in a shaky voice, i could tell he was trying to hold back the tears in his eyes.
“Jared, so you have a son, how is he? i asked.
“he’s death… he died when he was just three months old. I miss him so much. Lynn was so angry with me, for not ben able to provide as the head of the family. Jared was sick and i couldn’t get enough money from his treatment and also the medicine the doctors prescribe. Each day of my life i still blame myself for that and ever since then i vow to do everything i can to become rich and successful,
my uncle from Mexico came and took me with him and that’s how he changed my life for good. Lynn left me, i called her each day but she only picked up the calls to insult me, i feel for stupid, i blame myself for everything. And until now i never movd on, i was still hurt becaused of losing my child and also Lynn, i promise to make it up to her and i told her we can still make another babies but she refused, she left me for another man who is rich and can take good care of her,” he said in a cracking voice letting out his tears.
“am really sorry for everything, it not your fault, so stop blaming yourself..” i placed my hands on his, i just felt like consoling him, he must be so much hurt by this. “i guess we were both hurt in the past… but the only way to be happy is to move on and forget about the past,” i said while he wipe away his tears.
“but why didn’t you moved on, a pretty lady like you should
have gotten married already,” he asked.
“i have moved on already.. i don’t love Anton. Am okay with my daughters and i hope to win Jasmine back because only God knows what lies Anton and his wife has been telling her about me,” i said with teary eyes.
“am ready to help you get back to Anton, he have to pay for what he did to you,” i said.
“i don’t need much, all is need is to prove to Anton that am not the slut and shameless woman he once insulted, i want him to know the truth about Chloe being his biological daughter,
i want him to feel the same hurt i felt when i lost our baby and he even have the gut to gave me our divorce papers to sign on the sick bed. I want him to regret losing me for that woman Karen and finally i want my own daughter back to me,” i said while Sbastain looked at me. It seems we’ve known each other for years, i can’t believe i just told him everything about me and he also did.
“then am willing to help you, i want you to work with me, in my own company as my secretary,” he said while i looked at him not knowing what to say…

?Ethan’s POV?
I arrived in the evening and i guess Chloe must have left, Declan look so happy and i wonder what’s up with him these days.
“what’s that face for? and why are you always mean to Chloe? he asked while i looked at him. I had a bad day at work because Jasmine was all around me and now Declan questions is getting me more angry

“huh? what about you.. i thought you never like her? i asked kinda rude.
“of course not, just answer my question,” he said in a demanding tone.
“am not mean to her, remember i was the one who brou-ght here,” i yelled.
“really! If only she knew what your intentions are, she’ll never forgive you. Remember you said you only needed her in your bed well too late for you cos i realise how much i love Chloe and it a good thing we’re getting alone, i won’t allow you hurt nor try to touch her or else i tell her of your plan,” he said while i was surprise, did he just mention love. He love Chloe!, Hell no! That will never happen.
“you love Chloe? huh? you love her? i asked aloud while he nodded.
“your intentions for her are evil and i won’t watch and see you hurt her. I love her so i won’t let you succedd in your plan, so the early you go look for any slut you want for yourself,” he said while i raised my hand to slap me but he was quick enough to held it back!!! I felt like exploding…. Declan love Chloe???
?Lynn’s POV?
I could hear noises downstairs, i guess it Ethan and Declan, I wonder what’s going on their, Nicholas walked in to my room, he looked so angry and seems like he’s gonna strangle me to death.
“so it true, you had my wife killed. You murdered Mabel? he yelled at me. I know he knew everything, i was so careless to allow him hear my call with Cherry.
“yes i killed Mabel, i killed Declan mother because i wanted what best for my son, for our son. Am sure you know how wicked Mabel is. What i did was not murdered but self defense.
“when i and Mabel had a fight, she ran to her room and i qucikly followed her, i heard her making a call with someone else telling the person to meet her at the usual meeting point.
I heard everything clear, she wanted to get rid of me and my son but i was way to fast and smart, i tempered with her brakes and that was how she was involved in an accident and die, i did that because if Mabel is still alive i and my son would have been death long time ago,” i said while he held me tight then pin me to the wall.
“you’ll pay for this, Declan will never forgive you if he find out about this, he’ll hate you and probably his brother,” he yelled at me.
“let go of me, you’re hurting me,” i yelled then pushed him aside.
“I have once lose a child Nicholas and that why i never wanted my son Ethan to be fatherless, i brou-ght him to you and insisted to stay with you but you still don’t like him, all you care about is Declan! Declan! Declan.. aren’t you tried of all these. Ethan is our son, we did the DNA test and everything was proved, he’s our son i love him so much, i don’t want to end up losing him just the way i lose Jared. I’ll do everything for him,” i yelled in tears.
“okay then, just watch and see how i expose you,” he said while i laugh sarcastically.
“expose me! did you just said expose me! Nicholas i know everything you did, don’t think am not that smart. I know how you went about ordering your men to kill whom you want, and how you destroy your bestfriend happy home.
Nicholas go ahead expose me, or kill me, i have my own way to expose you too. So this should be a SECRET for a Secret,’…?
