Thursday Aubrey’s birthday

Min Seok’s POV

Today is Byeol’s birthday and I can’t miss it for anything in the world. Come to think of it, Byeol’s name is also Aubrey Connor so is it the same Aubrey in my school or another one?

“Come on Min Seok! How can you think Byeol is the same Aubrey in your cla-ss? Are you even thinking at all?” my subconscious mocked.

Yeah, whatever! I’m just trying to say they have the same name, nothing more!

I got into my car and drove to the venue. Very soon, I’m also going to reveal myself to the world as Jae In after which I and Byeol will get married. Perfect, isn’t it?”

Aubrey’s POV

I can’t believe today is my birthday. I’m so nervous right now because I will be revealing my face to the world.

“Are you sure you’re ready for this?” Sam asked and my sister nodded in support

“Yeah, I’ve been preparing for this for a while now” I a-ssured them with a smile

“Alright, let’s go then! You wouldn’t want to keep those important figures waiting, will you?”

“Of course not! Let’s go”

We got into our respective cars and drove to the venue where the party was to take place. The party already started when we got there so I just wore a visible mask before going in.

“Let’s welcome the celebrant of the day, Aubrey Connor!!” the MC announced immediately he noticed me making everyone stand to their feet

“I badly want to see her face, I can bet she’s the most beautiful girl in the world” I heard from the crowd
“Happy birthday my favorite K-Pop idol, you’ve been my bias from the start” another person heard

I kept hearing different remarks from different people and then I waved at them.

“Oh my God! She just waved at me” someone exclaimed
“No! she was waving at me, I saw her eyeball looking at me” someone else argued

I laughed and shook my head before sitting on the special seat designed for me and the party continued. I don’t know what made me turn my head but they landed on Min Seok and I quickly looked away. Thankfully, he wasn’t looking at me! Why is he here?

Ohh…..I’ve forgotten he’s Jae In, a K-Pop idol like me and he said he’s dream has always been to get married to Byeol which is me. I wonder what will happen tomorrow when he discovers that same Byeol is me.

“It’s time for the celebrant to cut the cake” the MC’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts

I stood up and walked to where the five stepped cake was placed. They sang and said the necessary things before I cut the cake. I don’t know why this birthday seem boring to me. I just want to finish up in time, go back home and prepare for school tomorrow.

“You said you were going to reveal your face to the world today, are you ready for that?” the MC asked and I bowed my head for a while before answering

“Yes, I’m ready”

I slowly took off the mask from my face with my head bowed while everyone looked on in amazement until I took the mask off completely.

“Wow!”
“Oh my goodness!”
“Is she from this planet?”
“She’s too beautiful”

They kept saying different things while I managed to put a small smile on my face. I want to go home already!

I saw Jae In staring at me with a face filled with surprise and I saw his li-ps say “wow”

How am I going to explain things to him tomorrow? He’s definitely going to get mad at me.

I sighed heavily, turned around and left the party.

“Are you okay Aubrey?” Sam asked when we got home

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just tired”

“You’re not someone to get tired easily. I know something is wrong but it’s fine if you don’t want to tell me. Happy birthday once again”

“Thank you”

“You’re welcome. I have to go now so I can prepare for prom night tomorrow”

“Alright. Take care”

Prom night! Prom night!! I’m so nervous already.

I know Min Ju was behind the attempted ra-pe yesterday. I found out from those men, besides that, I already guessed she will be the one.

She’s yet to learn her lesson and I might put her in her place tomorrow. Let tomorrow come first!

Min Ju’s POV

Those bastards! They couldn’t handle three defenseless girls! How did I even come across them anyway?

The only lie they could come up with was that some masked men suddenly showed up and fought for the guards. Does that even make any sense?

I guess I’m not lucky when it comes to finding people to work for me. The news on the TV caught my attention so I turned on the volume.

Today is Aubrey’s birthday? Oh… I almost forgot! I heard she will be revealing her face to the world today and I’m sure she’s the most ugly duckling on earth.

I gasped when I saw her took off her mask. I will never believe this is her real face! It has to be plastic surgery or a facial mask.

How can someone be this beautiful? What am I even saying? Even though she’s beautiful, her beauty can never be compared to mine!

Why does her name have to remind me of that Aubrey in my cla-ss? I wonder why all the Aubrey I’ve met in this world turn out to be my enemy.

Liam’s POV

“For how long are you going to continue like this Liam? The only thing you do is drink yourself to stupor, you don’t eat any food. Do you want to kill yourself?” Daniel said in frustration

“I told you I will only stop drinking if Aubrey forgives me. My life is has absolutely no meaning without her” I slurred

“Really? Before she came here, everyone of us were doing fine so you shouldn’t be this way just because she left you” Jayden said

“You don’t get it, do you? I love her! She has stolen my heart completely and there’s no way to take it back!” I raised my voice a little

“Fine! But can you at least eat? You’re going to hurt yourself at this rate” Daniel said again

“Well, I don’t care! Tomorrow will be prom night, but I don’t have a date. Am I supposed to be okay with that?”

“We know you’re not supposed to be okay but still…… ” Daniel was still saying when Jayden cut him off

“Have you seen the K-Pop idol, Byeol? Her name is also Aubrey Connor and she revealed her face to the world today at her birthday party” Jayden exclaimed

“Really? I’ve been dying to see her face, where is her picture?” Daniel asked also standing up to meet Jayden

“She looks really beautiful and I can bet there’s no one that can withstand her beauty” Jayden complemented

“Wow! She looks exactly like an angel! I want to get married to her” Daniel said

“Liam, this is what you really need to get over Aubrey. Come to think of it, she has the same name with Aubrey so that you will be able to get over her quickly” Jayden suggested

“Thanks guys but I’m not interested. It’s either Aubrey or no one else” I said and walked out on them
