A Bet - S01 E63

Aubrey’s POV

“Liam and his friends placed a bet on you. He doesn’t love you like he claims to, he’s just using you” Khloe said making me divert my attention to her.

“What?!!! What did you say?”

“Liam and his friends placed a bet on you”

“Are you sure you’re okay Khloe? Liam will never do that because the love he has for me is genuine”

“Believe me Aubrey! Fine, ask Liam himself” she said making me turn to look at Liam ever since she came in

“No! I won’t ask him because I know he didn’t do it” I said unsure of myself

“Alright. I’ve told you what I have to say so it’s your choice to believe me or not” she said and left the room

I sat gently on the bed and took in de-eper breaths a-ssuring myself that everything is fine.

“What she said, is it true?” I asked without looking up

“Uhhm…. It’s not true” Liam stuttered a reply

“I’m going to ask one last time. Did you and your friends really place a bet on me?”

There was silence for a while before he went down on his knees and a tear dropped down my cheek because the answer is obvious already. What exactly did I do to them?

“Aubrey! I know my apology won’t change anything but please listen to what I have to say” he said but I wasn’t ready to listen to his statement

I stood up and searched for my purse. Once I found it, I picked it up and wanted leaving but he held my hand.

“Let go of me this instant” I said with a de-eper angry voice and I think that scared him a bit because he released my hand immediately

I turned around and walked out of the room and with each step I took, a tear drops on my cheek. Soon, I was blinded by tears that I didn’t know when I walked past Min Seok until he called my name.

“Aubrey?” he called but I acted like I didn’t hear and kept walking

“Aubrey!!” he called again

“Please…. Just let me be”

“I should let you be? Why do you hate me this much? You keep pushing me away every time, don’t you care about my feelings?” he asked in a broken voice making me break down completely

When he saw the state I was, he pulled me into a hug and I just relaxed in his arms because that was what I really needed at that moment.

Khloe’s POV

As I left Liam and Aubrey in that room, I couldn’t help but cry. Why did I do that? I should have just endured till the end.

If I and Liam are meant to be, we will definitely be but with what I’ve done now, I can never forgive myself.

“What happened Khloe

?” Natalie asked when she saw me and I couldn’t help but cry

“Khloe???”

“I shouldn’t have done it Natalie,I’m a bad friend?” I said crying on her shoulder

“You shouldn’t have done what?” she asked completely lost

“I.. I” I stuttered

“It’s okay, calm down! Everything will be fine!” she a-ssured patting my back

When I was done crying, she led me to a place to sit and also sat beside me.

“So what did you say you shouldn’t have done?”

“I went to the room Liam and Aubrey were about to have se-x and I told Aubrey that… that Liam and his friends placed a bet on her.

I told her Liam doesn’t love her but is just using her” I explained fiddling with my fingers

“Really? Why would you do that? You shouldn’t lie just because you want Liam for yourself. That’s selfish!” Leah snapped

“But everything is not really a lie” I sobbed

“What do you mean?” she asked with keen interest

“Jayden and Daniel had told me that they placed a bet on Aubrey together with Liam. I confronted Liam about it and he also confirmed it.

I threatened Liam to tell Aubrey his plans but he pleaded with me so I told him to let us strike a deal.

The deal was to make me his girlfriend after he succeeds with the bet but then I cancelled the deal because something happened.

After few days, Liam came to me and begged me not to tell Aubrey about the bet. He told me he really loved her and he has cancelled the bet” I explained

“Hmm! So what are you going to do now? Liam is surely going to hate you after what you did”

“I didn’t think before doing it. All I wanted was for them to break up, what do I do now?” I asked admist sobs

“It will be fine, stop crying”

“How can I stop crying? Aubrey will never forgive me and Liam will hate me forever”

“Ssh! It’s okay, we will sort it out. Just calm down for now” Natalie said and I just nodded my head unable to say a word

Min Seok’s POV

After Aubrey calmed down a little, I took her to a quiet place and made he sit.

“What happened to you Aubrey? Why were you crying?”

“Liam doesn’t loves me. He has only been pretending all this while so as to win the bet he made with his friends” she explained leaving me in a confused state

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t you un-derstand? He lied about being in love with me just to win the bet he made with his friends”

“What?!!! That’s ridiculous! Why will he do that to you? Did you offend him?”

“No! I’m just a girl that leads a quiet life. I try my best to avoid anything that will put me in trouble.

It was Liam that just came to me on his own will and confessed his feelings for me. I never made myself noticeable to him so why did he choose me? Why didn’t he just let me be? What did I do to deserve this?” she asked now in tears again

“It’s okay Aubrey, don’t cry!” I said patting her

“How did you find out about it?”

“We were close to having se-x when Khloe suddenly barged in and revealed everything. I didn’t believe her until Liam also confirmed it” she explained

Khloe was the one that told her about it? What if she made it up just because of her feelings for Liam? But I don’t think she made it up since Aubrey said Liam also confirmed it.

“It’s okay Aubrey, everything will be fine. Let me take you home” I offered and helped her to my car

Liam’s POV

I sat on the floor with a bottle of wine in my hand and just stared into space. I’ve lost Aubrey!

Oh goodness! How did this happen? Khloe! Khloe! I’m going to kill Khloe with my hands so she will learn how to mind her business in her next life.

How can I get Aubrey back? If Aubrey doesn’t come back to me, I won’t survive it. I really love her so much and can’t bear to lose her.

Even if I have to go to the end of the world just to have her, I will do it!

“Liam! What happened?” Daniel and Jayden asked coming in

“I don’t un-derstand” I said in my drunken state

“We just saw Aubrey with Min Seok now and she was crying. Did something happen? How come she’s with Min Seok and not you?” Daniel asked

“I don’t know. Just let me be please” I said and tried standing up but in the end, I fell back to the floor

“Let’s take him home, he doesn’t look okay” Jayden suggested

I didn’t resist, I just let them take me. Once I wake up, I’m going to deal with Khloe first before thinking of how to get Aubrey back.
