A Bet - S01 E64

Aubrey’s POV

I managed to describe Samantha’s house to Min Seok as he drove me home.

“Wow! Your house is really big. Why are you pretending to be a poor girl then?” he asked when we got there

“This is actually where my mom work so we live here” I said and bit my li-ps

I really don’t like the way I’m lying to them but I don’t think I have a choice. I don’t even know who to trust now.

“Ohh…. That’s nice. Let’s go in” he offered and started walking ahead of me but I stopped him

“I will take it from here. Thanks for bringing me home, I really appreciate it.”

“Alright. Are you sure you’ll be fine?”

“Yes, thank you”

“You’re welcome. Take care of yourself” he said and got into his car before driving away

I knocked on the gate but I didn’t get any response so I decided to call Sam instead.

“Come and open the gate, I’m outside” I said and ended the call

Within minute, I heard the gate opening. Sam can be so dramatic!

I turned back and started walking inside but then I stopped on my track when I saw Sam in just her undies.

“Like seriously? Do you have to make a big deal out of everything?”

“Just shut up and come in” she snapped

We both went to her room after she locked the gate.

“What happened Aubrey? I thought you planned to stay with Liam till tomorrow” she asked sitting beside me

“We’ll talk about it tomorrow, I want to sleep now” I said standing up but she held me back

“I don’t want to hear it tomorrow, I want to hear it now” she said making me sigh

“Fine then”

I sat back and took in de-eper breaths before narrating everything to her without leaving a single detail.

“What?!!! Liam did what?”

“Let’s forget about that now, I want to sleep”

“No! I thought I warned you not to have se-x with him yet?”

“I know, I just got carried away and all. Besides, it didn’t happen so you don’t have to make a big deal out of it”

“Aubrey!!”

“Fine! I’m sorry okay? It won’t happen again”

“It had better not happen. How did Khloe find out about the bet?”

“Well… I don’t know. Maybe she overhead Liam’s discussion with his friends, who knows?”

“You need to ask her how she found out about it so we can know the next step to take. For now, you should stay away from Liam and his friends”

“I know that already, you don’t need to tell me” I said with an eyeroll

“Who brou-ght you home?”

“It was Min Seok”

“Hmm! The transfer student right?”

“Yeah”

“Be careful around him too! You can’t trust anyone”

“I think I can trust him. Did I forget to tell you he’s Jae In?”

“Jae In? Wait! Do you mean the K-Pop star Jae In?”

“Yes! You know he’s also in disguise like I am so I decided to do a background check on him”

“So you’ve seen his face before?”

“I see his face in school everyday”

“Wow! You’re really lucky”

“But I’m not the only one that gets to see his face everyday. All the students see his face”

“I know! But still, they don’t know he’s Jae In”

“Yeah, whatever! I’m going to bed now. Goodnight”

Khloe’s POV

I’m thinking of going to Liam’s place to apologise for what I did. I know he might never forgive me but I’m willing to try.

I got into my car and asked my driver to drive me to Liam’s mansion. After minutes of driving, we finally arrived there and I got down from the car walking into his mansion nervously.

“Good day ma’am, how can I help you?” a maid greeted when I got to the sitting room

“I.. I’m here to see Liam”

“Ohh…. He’s still asleep. Please wait for him here”

“Can I wait for him in his room?”

“Sure! Come with me” she said and led the way

I got to Liam’s room and truly, he was still sleeping so I decided to sit on a chair there until he wakes up.

After about an hour, he finally woke up. It took time before he adjusted to the light from the sun.

“Good morning Liam” I greeted nervously

I’m really scared right now, I feel like running back home.

He looked around for who was greeting him and when his eyes met mine, he sat up immediately.

“You? What are you doing in my house? Leave now before I do something we will both regret” he threatened but I shook my head and went down on my knees

“I’m really sorry Liam, it wasn’t intentional. I promise to make Aubrey come back to you. Just please forgive me” I pleaded now in tears

“I’m only going to count five Khloe so if you’re not out then, I will order the guards to throw you out! 1… 2…”

“I did it out of love. I know I was foolish but I’m sorry. You were blinded by your love for Aubrey that you didn’t see how much I’ve always loved you” I explained and that seemed to catch his attention

“You’re in love with me?”

“I’ve always loved you even before you took my Vir-ginity. But then I found out recently that you and your friends placed a bet on me and that was why you slept with me.

I was really hurt and broken. The only guy I’ve ever loved just toyed with my feelings. I know you’re a playboy and it will be ha-rd for you to fall in love but I never imagined you placing a bet on me.

How did you expect me to feel?”

“K…Khloe, I had no idea you were in love with me. Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

“What difference would it make? Aubrey is the only reason why you’ve changed so if I had told you back then, it won’t make a difference”

“I’m really sorry Khloe. What can I do to make it up to you?”

“Make me your girlfriend and love me back, that’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted”

“I’m sorry Khloe but I can’t do that”

“Why? Because of Aubrey?”

“You know how much I love her. It’s her or no one else”

“You don’t even know if she’s ever going to forgive you”

“She will forgive me. Because of the love we share, she will definitely forgive me” he said trying to rea-ssure himself

“What about me?”

“A good guy will come for you. Forget about me, please”

“Okay! You’ve forgiven me right?”

“Yes, I’ve forgiven you and I’m really sorry”

“It’s okay. I will leave now”

I took one last glance at him and left his mansion in tears.
