Friday A day before Jayden’s birthday

Aubrey’s POV

“Are you going to attend the party tomorrow?” Liam asked on our way out of the school

I don’t even know if I should attend or not. My parents will definitely let me attend the party, but not without guards.

It’s just that I have a bad feeling about going to that party, I feel like something bad will happen there but Liam has been pleading with me to attend the party so I guess I have no choice.

“Yes, I will attend the party for you” I said with a faux smile”

“Really? Thank you so much Aubrey. I love you!” he said grinning widely

Is he so happy I will be attending the party? Well, I’m glad his happy!

We bade each other farewell when we got to his car and went our separate ways.

Saturday morning

I woke up with a beautiful smile on my face. Knowing I will be seeing Liam today makes me extremely happy but I’m also nervous and scared because today is going to determine how my relationship with Liam will be afterwards.

I’m going to show him my real self today and tell him the truth about me. I just hope he doesn’t get mad and break up with me, I might not survive it.

The party will take place at 5pm in the evening and it’s going to continue till late in the night so I still have time to practice for the new song I will be releasing and also finish my a-ssignment.

I will be done with high school in less than 3 weeks, I can’t wait to finally go to college! Let me quickly practice now so I can have enough time to prepare for the party.

Min Seok’s POV

I heard Jayden will be celebrating his birthday today and all the students will be present there, but I don’t want to go because I know Aubrey will be attending the party with Liam and the last thing I want to see is something that will break my heart.

I know Khloe will be there and I’m supposed to go so she won’t feel lonely but my feelings come first. I will just stay at home and spend my time wisely instead of going to a party that won’t benefit me.

“Hey! Min Seok!” Khloe’s loud voice came into the phone

“Can you stop screaming anytime you call?” I said with an eye roll

“I don’t want to. I want to block your eardrums” she said with a giggle

“You can’t block my eardrums because I have supernatural powers”

“I want to see your face, let’s have a video call instead” she said and ended the call
Almost immediately, her call came in.

I picked the call and saw she was wearing a short gown that ba-rely covered her thi-ghs and I moved the phone away from me.

“Change into something else, please”

“I’m okay this way. Why are you acting like you’ve never seen a girl in this before?” she asked and I brou-ght the phone back to my face

“How are you doing?” she asked with a smile on her face

“I’m doing fine. What about you?”

“Fine too. I hope you are preparing for Jayden’s party” she said with raised brows

“I won’t be attending the party” I answered with a shrug

“Huh? Why?” she asked now sitting up

“Well, I have no reason to be there”

“What about me? Can’t you attend because of me?”

“I’m sorry Khloe”

“It’s okay. I’m not Aubrey so you have no reason to listen to me. I have to go now. Bye” she said and ended the call before I could say a word

Why did she sound that way? Is she jealous or what? Looks like I will have to attend the party, but I won’t go by 5pm when it will start. I will wait till around 6:30pm before going.

Khloe’s POV

I sighed as I dropped the call. Why did I say that to Min Seok? What will he think of me now?

It’s 4pm already and the party starts by 5pm so I think I should freshen up and start preparing for the party.

I really wish Min Seok will be present so I won’t feel lonely.

I got down from my bed and searched for what to wear before going to the bathroom to take a shower.

I won’t spend much time at the party because I don’t know what I will do when I see Liam and Aubrey together.

I still love Liam so much and I wonder when I will ever be able to get rid of these feelings.

I was still wearing my clothes when I heard the doorbell. Who is that? Well, whoever it is, I’m sure the maids must be attending to them already

“Hey Khloe” I heard Natalie’s voice behind me

“Natalie! I never expected to see you here. You’re dressed for the party right?”

“Yeah. I have nothing to do at home so I just decided to come here” she explained

“Ohh… that’s nice! I will just wear my clothes”

“There! I’m done” I said twirling so she can see

“Yeah, I can see. Stop twirling for me. You should do that for your boyfriend or should I say Liam?” she said with a wink but I just sighed and sat on the bed

“What’s wrong Khloe?” she asked sitting beside me

“I don’t know what to do about Liam”

“You should have confessed your feelings to him earlier”

“It’s not right to confess your feelings to a guy”

“But at least it’s better than loosing someone you love forever”

“So there’s nothing I can do anymore?”

“Yeah. If they have a misun-derstanding, you can probably seize that opportunity.

Although it won’t be right since Aubrey is your friend but you have no choice”

“Okay, thank you” I said with a for-ced smile

“Welcome. Let’s go to the party, it will start soon”

Liam’s POV

I wore my clothes and drove to Jayden’s parents house where the party is to take place.

I would have loved to pick Aubrey up so we can go together but she said she will come on her own and I have to respect her decision.

When I got in, the party was just about starting but Aubrey wasn’t there yet. I decided to go outside and call her.

“Hello! Where are you?”

“I’ve almost gotten to the party. Are you missing me already?” she teased

“Missing you my foot! I just don’t want you to miss the party, that’s all”

“Since you don’t miss me, I should just go back right?” she asked and I can imagine the sm-irk on her face now

“Fine, you win! I miss you so come quickly”

“Alright. I’ll be there in a moment”

“Good!” I said and ended the call

I walked back to the party to see Khloe and Natalie walking in throu-ghthe front door but I don’t un-derstand the look in Khloe’s eyes.

Anyway, that’s not my business. What matters in this party is for me to be with Aubrey.
