Aubrey’s POV

I waited and waited for Min Seok in the cafeteria for a long time but he didn’t show up.

I was already beginning to get tired when Liam came around.

“What are you doing here all alone Aubrey?” he asked taking a sit beside me

“Errm… Nothing” I answered timidly

I didn’t want to tell him I’ve been waiting for someone since.

“Let me get something to eat for both of us” he said and left before I could say a word

“Here” he said stretching out the snacks he bought

“Thanks Liam” I mumbled un-der my breath

We started talking about random things when the cafeteria suddenly went in an uproar.

“He’s so cute” a student said

“Just one night” another one said

The students kept saying ru-bbish and I knew instantly they were talking about Min Seok but I couldn’t see him clearly because of the students surrounding him.

I looked at Liam and noticed he was fuming in anger. He’s definitely not happy that Min Seok is stealing the attention he used to receive from students.

I took my gaze back to Min Seok and that was when I saw him clearly. He was walking hand in hand with Min Ju. They find a place to seat and placed their other.

So this was the reason why he didn’t show up even when I waited for about thirty minutes? Tears threatened to spill from my eyes but I managed to hold them in.

Seconds later, I felt someone hold my hand on the table and I looked up to behold Liam with so much care in his eyes.

Liam’s POV

I watched as almost all the girls in the cafeteria flocked over Min Seok. Ever since he came to this school, things have changed for me.

What’s so special about him anyways that the girls are all over him?

I took my eyes back to Aubrey and noticed she was fighting back tears. Is she also falling for Min Seok? Hmmph!

Whether she’s falling or not, that’s none of my business. This is a perfect opportunity for me to display my knight in shining armour skills.

I gently placed my hand on hers on the table and stared at her with so much emotions in my eyes. Am I even faking it or it’s real?

“Is everything alright?” I asked softly

She just nodded her head indicating yes.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I will just step out for a while” she said and left

I’m sure her heart must be melting towards me now. It won’t be too long before I have her wrapped around my fingers.

Khloe’s POV

I watched as Aubrey and Liam ate together. Even though they weren’t smiling as usual, I still felt a pang of jealousy surge throu-ghme.

“Are you going to attend Jayden’s upcoming birthday? It’s the talk of the school now” Natalie said snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Uhhm…. I don’t really know yet” I answered her truthfully

Usually, I would have attended the party without thinking twice but things are different now.

First, they played a bet on me. Secondly, one of my rules is no partying so I don’t know if I should go or not but I’m sure I will know the answer to that very soon.

We finished lunch and headed to the cla-ss. Before we left, I noticed Aubrey was no longer in the cafeteria but Liam was still seated there. I hope she’s fine.

We got to cla-ss and met Aubrey seated with her head placed on the desk. This is strange!

“Are you okay, Aubrey?” I asked tapping her gently

It took a while before she finally raised her head up.

“I’m fine, just a slight headache”

“Sorry about that. Will you go home and rest?”

“No, I will be fine”

“Alright. We are going to close soon anyway” I concluded and sat beside her

We did the remaining lecture and closed for the day. Aubrey looked really weak and I wonder what happened to her.

“Aubrey, let me take you home. Please don’t say no”

“Alright, let’s go” she answered and kept her books

We were almost out of the cla-ss when Min Seok walked up to us.

“Hey girls, how are you doing?” he asked cheerfully

“Fine” I answered with a smile on my face but shockingly, Aubrey didn’t respond. Is there something I’m missing here?

“What’s wrong Aubrey?” he asked when he noticed she didn’t respond

“Nothing” she said casually and started walking away but Min Seok held her back

Okay, this looks really awkward. Are they in a kind of relationship? Nah, I don’t think so.

“I’m sorry about this afternoon. I….” Min Seok was saying but Aubrey cut him off

“Please… I want to go home. We can talk tomorrow”

“Okay” he sighed dejectedly and left her

“What’s going on between you and Min Seok?” I asked Aubrey on our way to the parking lot

“Nothing is going on between us” she said and I had no choice but to drop the topic

“I was thinking you guys were going to sleep in there” Natalie said with an eyeroll when we got to the car

“Whatever” I said and we drove Aubrey home.

“Are you sure you’re going to be fine? I mean Samantha… ” I said to Aubrey when we arrived at Samantha’s mansion

“Yes. I told you guys she wasn’t in a good mood that day so don’t worry about me” she said with a small rea-ssuring smile

“Okay then. Just make sure you take care of yourself and rest properly” Natalie said to her

“Thanks. Bye” she waved at us and left

Aubrey’s POV

After Khloe and Natalie left, I went inside Samantha’s house.

I don’t even know why I’m like this. Is it because Min Seok ditched me for someone else?

I shrugged the thoughts off and opened the door.

“Aubrey, what’s wrong?” Sam asked immediately I got in.

“Nothing. I’m fine, I just need to take a nap”

“Did something happen in school today?”

“No”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes”

“Okay then. You can take a nap in my room” she said and continued whatever she was doing on her phone

I know she’s kind of upset because she knows something is wrong and I don’t want to tell her. I will probably tell her when I wake up.

What I need right now is a nap to get rid of this feeling.
